We're going back to 1991...and we're going STREAKING! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their encyclopedic exploration digging up The Dead Man as we take our time-traveling hearse back 35 years to celebrate the origin of The Undertaker's greatest accomplishment - The WrestleMania Streak! We're revisiting 3 matches that tell the tale of the birth of this epic achievement. Up first it's a rare house show encounter between The Undertaker and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka that's not just a test run for their Mania 7 match-up - it's also Taker's first ever appearance at MSG! Then we take a look at Taker's tune up for the PPV on the Superstars and Stripes Forever show taking on Tugboat. These two titans tussled on many of Undertaker's first live event appearances and were even briefly slated to have a match at Mania before the plans changed, so it's interesting to see what might have been. Finally we close things out with a look back at the match that started it all for WrestleMania 7, a passing of the torch between two phenoms of pro wrestling. It's a unique look back at the origins of the most legendary run in all of sports entertainment history as we celebrate it's historic anniversary. All that plus our monthly Undertaker sightings looking at Mark Calaway's role as the booker of AAA as well as some anecdotes from his latest Six Feet Under podcasts. Download, enjoy, and Taker Easy! SummaryIn this episode, Dr. Natalie explores the concept of 'The Great Unlearning,' a transformative journey that challenges the societal belief that doing everything right leads to a fulfilling life. She reflects on her personal experiences, particularly during midlife, where she realized that striving for perfection and external validation often leads to burnout and disillusionment. Dr. Natalie emphasizes the importance of self-worth and the need to reclaim it from within, rather than through external achievements or approval. Through poignant anecdotes, she illustrates how the pressure to conform to societal expectations can lead to a double life and emotional turmoil, ultimately advocating for a shift towards self-love and acceptance.Dr. Natalie introduces the metaphor of the tugboat versus the lighthouse to illustrate the difference between exhausting oneself in the pursuit of perfection and standing firm in one's self-worth. She encourages listeners to reflect on their own lives, identifying where they may be sacrificing their well-being in the name of doing everything right. The episode serves as a powerful reminder that true fulfillment comes from within, and that midlife can be an opportunity for profound personal growth and self-discovery.Keywords:midlife, self-worth, personal growth, self-love, great unlearning, emotional well-being, tugboat lighthouse metaphor, reclaiming self-worth, Dr. NatalieTakeaways:The version of you that you're most proud of may be blocking your actual life.Midlife can be an invitation to examine the mess of our lives and love it as it is.Reclaiming self-worth from the inside out is essential for true fulfillment.Sound bites:"What if I told you that the version of you that you're most proud of... is in the way of your actual life?""Today we're gonna talk about the great unlearning.""You do not need to fix yourself. Today we are talking about Tugboat, What it does, and how it can super charge your ci/cd process with guest James Sansbury. We'll also cover ShURLy as our module of the week. There's a module for that. Module name/project name: ShURLy Brief history How old: created in Aug 2010 by Jeff Robbins (jjeff) though recent releases are by João Ventura (jcnventura) of Portugal Versions available: 8.x-1.0-beta4 which supports Drupal 9.3, 10, and 11 Maintainership Minimally maintained, maintenance fixes only. Also, the project page says that the 8.x branch is not ready for production use. So a big caveat emptor if you decide to try it Number of open issues: 18 open issues, 5 of which are bugs against the current branch Usage stats: 730 sites Module features and usage With the ShURLly module installed, you can specify a long URL you want shortened, optionally also providing a case-sensitive short URL you want to use. If none is provided a short URL will be automatically generated The module provides usage data for the short URLs, and and a user you can see a list the ones you've created as well as their click data I was a little surprised to see that created short URLs are stored in a custom db table instead of as entities, but the module is able to avoid a full bootstrap of Drupal before issuing the intended redirects The module provides blocks for creating short URLs, a bookmarklet to save a short URL, and URL history. There is also Views integration for listing the short URLs, by user or in whatever way will be useful in your site There is also a submodule to provide web services for generating short URLs, or potentially expand a short URL back into its long form. The services support output as text, JSON, JSONP, XML, or PHP serialized array The module allows provides a variety of permissions to allow fine-grained access to the capabilities it provides, and also has features like per-role rate limiting, APIs to alter redirection logic, and support for the Google Safe Browsing API, and Google Analytics It's worth mentioned that ShURLy is intended to run in a site on its own instead of within a Drupal site that is also serving content directly, but it will attempt to avoid collisions with existing site paths Today's guest, James, is one of the maintainers of ShURLy, but Nic, you mentioned before the show that you have a customer using this module. What can you tell us about the customer's use case and your experience working with ShURLy?
A couple weeks back, Gethard talked with a lawyer whose husband came up a few times. We learned two key facts about him: he's got a lot of birds, and he works on a tugboat. Well, he got through this week, and that means Geth got to ask him a few questions about the birds and a million more about life aboard a tugboat. It's a conversation packed with oddly fascinating details about this very specific, rarely discussed job. 135 years ago, Norwegian immigrant Thea Foss lived in a ramshackle driftwood houseboat on the coast of Tacoma Washington. Kind, capable, and hard-working, she was an anchor for hundreds more immigrants during America's Gilded Age. Thea built the largest maritime company west of the Mississippi- but more than that, she was the heart of the community. (Plus there's a boat parade, a catastrophic fire, and a truly delightful cow.) Obviously, Seattle has a rich and vibrant wizard scene. We all know this. Well, one day, one of the wizards turned a tugboat named Louie into a human being and Louie decided to do one of the most Seattle things possible: open a teriyaki restaurant. He was really good at it. The meat was not too soggy but not burnt, the glaze was sweet and just a little salty, the cursory salad was fine. And after a while, Louie had thoughts of expanding to new locations but then didn't.It's the Max Fun Drive!
