Host Thomas Frank Carr and reporter Greg Pickel cover plenty of ground on this week's show ahead of the No. 1 Nittany Lions' return to the mat on Sunday. They travel to the PPL Center in Allentown then to take on Lehigh. The dual meet starts at 2 p.m. and will be streamed by FLO.This week's show covers the Lions' second dual meet of the season. First, though, it looks at the situation at 133 pounds. Braeden Davis did not compete at the Army Black Knight Invitational for presumed injury precaution reasons after tweaking his knee in the dual opener against Drexel. He should be back this weekend, though, for a shot at No. 1 Mountain Hawk Ryan Crookham.Davis bumped up to 133 this year after competing at 125 as a freshman. Part of that was natural. But, the Lions also had a hole in that weight class after losing incumbent starter Aaron Nagao to a long-term injury earlier this year. After that conversation, Carr and Pickel dive into the latest on the starting spot battles at 157 and 197 pounds. Are they Tyler Kasak's and Joshua Barr's jobs' to lose? Pickel weighs in. The show closes with a look at the Lions' trip to Lehigh and the top matchups we expect to see. #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annualSUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmationGet the 2024 Penn State Football Preview Magazine at https://bit.ly/PSU24PreviewBookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.comPenn State Wresting Show: Aaron Nagao Injury Update | Lehigh preview

In the vaunted annals of America's founding, Boston has long been held up as an exemplary “city upon a hill” and the “cradle of liberty” for an independent United States. Wresting this iconic urban center from these misleading, tired clichés, The City-State of Boston: The Rise and Fall of an Atlantic Power (Princeton University Press, 2019), highlights Boston's overlooked past as an autonomous city-state, and in doing so, offers a pathbreaking and brilliant new history of early America. Following Boston's development over three centuries, Mark Peterson, the Edmund S. Morgan Professor of History at Yale University, discusses how this self-governing Atlantic trading center began as a refuge from Britain's Stuart monarchs and how—through its bargain with slavery and ratification of the Constitution—it would tragically lose integrity and autonomy as it became incorporated into the greater United States. Drawing from vast archives, and featuring unfamiliar figures alongside well-known ones, such as John Winthrop, Cotton Mather, and John Adams, Peterson explores Boston's origins in sixteenth-century utopian ideals, its founding and expansion into the hinterland of New England, and the growth of its distinctive political economy, with ties to the West Indies and southern Europe. By the 1700s, Boston was at full strength, with wide Atlantic trading circuits and cultural ties, both within and beyond Britain's empire. After the cataclysmic Revolutionary War, “Bostoners” aimed to negotiate a relationship with the American confederation, but through the next century, the new United States unraveled Boston's regional reign. The fateful decision to ratify the Constitution undercut its power, as Southern planters and slave owners dominated national politics and corroded the city-state's vision of a common good for all. Peeling away the layers of myth surrounding a revered city, The City-State of Boston offers a startlingly fresh understanding of America's history. Ryan Tripp is adjunct history faculty for Los Medanos Community College as well as the College of Online and Continuing Education at Southern New Hampshire University.

How many times can Vader be killed, and who is the real supernatural entity here? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys examine this “tweener” Pay Per View on the road to WrestleMania. Matches featuring Ken Shamrock, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Cactus Jack give a respectable showing, while the NWA angle, Jerry's Kid, and Quebec vs. Arkansas stink the place up. Sable takes ruining things to the next level, but at least Shawn Michaels is here, right? Right?
