Spoiler free until 00:02:51! In this episode Andrew, Ryan, and Steven review Sean Connery's 2 best stints as Bond in From Russia with Love and Goldfinger! That's right, we looked at the 2 highest rated Connery Bond movies on IMDB to kick off a series of 007 double headers. Just how well did these films age? Are either of these a good intro into Bond? Can you really spoil a 60 year old film? Where these the foundational Bond formula films? We answer all these questions and more in this episode! 00:00:00 Intro 00:00:34 007 Double Header Format 00:02:22 From Russia with Love discussion 00:23:15 Intermission 00:24:11 Goldfinger Discussion 00:51:30 Outro Website: https://www.spoilersintendedpodcast.com/ (https://www.spoilersintendedpodcast.com/) Patreon : https://my.captivate.fm/patreon.com/SpoilersIntendedPodcast (patreon.com/SpoilersIntendedPodcast) Discord : https://discord.gg/kGRAmjbqcF (https://discord.gg/kGRAmjbqcF)
Do you Expect Us To Talk takes a pitstop before we move on to the next series. This week we sit down and watch the last Connery Bond movie, Diamonds Are Forever. Following one of the best films of the series, Sean Connery returns to the role in what we consider to be one of the worst entries. The movie sees Bond take on diamond smuggling that leads him to Las Vegas, a camp Blofeld, not Howard Hughes and a gay hitman duo. ris as we talk our way through the film discussing fruity shirts, Blofeld's love of drag. sleeping in an ash tray, the moment Sean Connery looks bored, and who's the worst Bond girl. You can follow us on Becca, Chris and Dave on Twitter You can find us on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher and Google Podcasts, all you have to do is search. Also, if you like us leave us a lovely review as it helps us grow. If that wasn't enough, you can even you can follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook. Do You Expect Us To Talk Will Return with Spider-Man
This week, the guys deliver unto thine ears, what is probably the shortest episode in the history of APNC. How did they do that, you ask? They sent David on a fetch quest to Colorado. This doesn't mean there was a lack of content this week. Funny enough, the guys generally just watched the same things. They talk a bit about Ted Lasso and Shimgadoon and Kevin ends the show with talk of the last 2 Connery Bond films and a spin of the wheel. But between those sexy slices of bread is the real meat of this episode. The guys discuss The Suicide Squad (2021) and Charlie's Angels (2019). I'm sure you can't decide which you are more excited for, but let me tell you… it's probably neither. As you power down this snack sized meat sandwich of nonsense, remind yourself to like and subscribe. Once you finish binging and purging this content, also make sure to tell your friends how much fun you had and have them like and subscribe as well. It's more fun when everyone is doing it!
This week the guys, sans Pete, cover some good ground. In the weekly review there's a lot to take in, with Banshee, Shmigadoon, Barb and Star go To Vista Del Mar, and more. David jumps in to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Opie weighs in on Lethal Weapon 3, Kevin completely skips Connery Bond for another week (what a loser), and then, the coup de gras, Alex watches the first High School Musical movie. Trust us, he absolutely loves it and has already purchased a Zack Effron full size body pillow. The guys also discuss the new Dwayne Johnson joint, Jungle Cruise. Was it good? Was it bad? You'll have to watch to find out. They also discuss Ted Lasso up to this point and we won't make you wait on that. This show is a masterpiece. Watch it immediately. We hope you enjoy this week and don't forget to like and subscribe. In the words of Danny Rojas, “APNC is liiiffeee!!!”. Or something like that…
Strap in kids, its going to be a bumpy ride! Mythic Quest, Loki, Black Widow, franchises, video games oh my!! This week we're giving you close to 3 hours of great aural. The boys do some catch up and David talks about some video game he's playing that Opie and Pete have never heard of. The boys talk Mythic Quest season 2 finale and season as a whole. Loki and Black Widow get picked apart and beatified next. The third and final hour finds Kevin chopping away at some Connery Bond. David closes out Paranormal Activity in his usual sparkling manner. Pete finishes the Jurassic park films with a breakdown of of 4 dinosaur turds. Enjoy!

Do you Expect Us To Talk takes a pitstop before we move on to the next series. This week we sit down and watch the last Connery Bond movie, Diamonds Are Forever. Following one of the best films of the … Continue reading →
Let's look back to the beginning of James Bond! Listen as we analyze every James Bond film made by the master actor Sean Connery. Do these films still hold up, and what do they contribute to the legend of James Bond?
The roll of our dice has treated us to another Connery Bond film; the second of his farewells from the role. This curious entry into the franchise is heiled by some as a triumphant return of the franchise's prodigal son; by others it is seen as an ill-fated, unmitigated disaster of mismatched tones and underwhelming performances. Three mates in Sydney are here to figure this out.
We focus on Goldfinger & Diamonds Are Forever, but we also review all 7 Connery films in this first episode of The James Bond Character Study. Enjoy segments such as License To Bill, There’s A Reason Tomorrow Never Dies, & Always Say Never Again in our spoiler section. What Is This Show/Series/Fomat? - Top of Show SEAN CONNERY’S JAMES BOND CHARACTER STUDY: NONSPOILER SECTION Getting Into Character - 3:00 (Connery’s Early Career + Who Else Was Offered The Role of 007) Connery’s Bond Filmography - 6:50 (Highlights and Box Office of The Actor’s Time As Bond; Including His Turn in Non-Canon Bond Film “Never Say Never Again”) His Performance As Bond Overall - 22:02 SPOILER WARNING - 27:18 SPOILER-FILLED SECTION The Spy Who’s Not Me - 28:24 (Why We Want To, But Never Could Be, This James Bond) Live and Let Dad Joke - 34:36 (This Bond’s Best One Liners) Always Say Never Again - 42:02 (Moral Issues Through 2020 Eyes) Dr. Please God No - 46:36 (Problematic Interactions w/ Women Through 2020 Eyes) Q Only Lives Once - 51:03 (The Cars, Gadgets, and Tech of Connery Bond) They’re Why Tomorrow Never Dies - 56:47 (The Struggles of These Bond Baddies) Goldfingers - 1:04:44 (We Fix The Bond Baddies) License To Bill - 1:10:52 (Totaling Up Bond’s Civic Damage) Your Homework/PLEASE LEAVE US 5*’S - 1:17:48 What’s Next From MMO/Words of Wisdom - 1:19:46 We start The James Bond Character Study with an episode about the original 007, Sean Connery, and his 6 (really 7) films in this series. Although we’ll discuss the other movies throughout, we do focus on Goldfinger & Diamonds Are Forever. As we’ll do in each episode, you’ll get a mix of fun & serious movie review segments. Our non-spoiler section begins with a Getting Into Character introduction, including a recap of all the films, their box office, and award highlights. Then you’ll get a review of Connery’s performances in our section on Historical Significance, where we also chat about what Connery & this franchise meant to blockbuster filmmaking at large. After a spoiler warning, we do dive into the plots of Goldfinger & Diamonds Are Forever much more than the rest, but we do highlight some great scenes throughout the Connery Bond films. We also discuss many of the worst elements of these dated movies. In fact, there’s no way around some serious talk in these episodes. But we do our very best to get back to the fun of chatting about all things Sean Connery as James Bond in this character study. Look, Bond super fans should not expect a thorough love fest here. Both Mike & I have attachments to the series, but we also try to do what we always do and be honest with you all about our thoughts, which are varied in this episode. What we can promise is a lively discussion full of Dad Jokes, story analysis, crazed rants, soapboxing, and strange impersonations that’ll hopefully engage you all in this new series from MMO. Stay tuned for episodes on each actor who’s donned the Bond tuxedo. Our George Lazenby show is next up on our schedule. Then we plan to tackle Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig in the weeks to come, plus a few bonus shows & our customary awards show to get you ready for No Time To Die. If you enjoyed this episode, please take a moment to leave us 5 stars on Apple Podcasts, and do send us your thoughts. We’re @MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail. You can subscribe / rate / review / like / share / & listen to us on Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Google Play, Tune In, Spotify, and just about wherever you might listen. We’re Mike, Mike, & Oscar, and we’re making awards season year round, without the stuffiness. Thanks for listening.

We're back (not that we weren't going to be anyway) for another episode as we move into the fourth Connery Bond film from 1965 Thunderball. Why is Bond punching women this time around? Why is he so against going to Canada? Why should the theme from The Benny Hill theme feature in this movie? And just where the hell does his hat go? You'll have to listen to the episode to have these questions answered and more!
CINEMATIC 007 -- Scott's back for another podcast, and this time we discuss the unofficial Connery Bond film, in the long awaited review of 'Never Say Never Again.'
