This episode as Dwayne Johnson has finally made his Black Adam film after being attached ever since he became an actor. We are talking DC Comic Books. Unfortunately The Nerd Dose Podcast was supposed to join us but had to pull out. but they certainly picked a corker! Hopefully they will join us on future episode.Warning we will be talking SPOILERSThe Nerd Doses Pick for this episode is the brilliantly gory The Suicide Squad. On this one we talk why some how this film makes a giant star fish work as a villain work. We talk about how this film is quite knowing that some DC comic book villains are, how can I put it, stupid. Plus we debate how the hell this film is not an eighteen in the UK. IMDB page Social linkstwitterinstagramTikTokAs ever please enjoy.Support the show

This week, Jared and Nick From the Phoenix Press discuss possible scenarios for what Zaslav will do with the DC Comic book division. They discuss licensing out the comic books, scaling down the number of books, which DC books they would want to take over if they were in charge, and more. They also discuss the effect Zaslav's strategy is having on the DCEU, Why the Deadpool movies are amazing, and so much more! Let's hope that Zaslav does not axe the entire company and simply reforms the DC company to better represent the brand of DC as well as their individual characters. Email below your thoughts. What is the best option available to Zaslav? What book would you want to write for DC? Subscribe for more covering of the effect Warner Bros. Discovery is having on DC comics and movies. Jim and Eric celebrate the New Year (and one year of podcasting) with their usual comics talk, stories and utter nonsense. Eric went to a New Year's Eve party, but Jim takes a walk down memory lane as he recounts some past New Years of his own. It's all about Y2K and stolen valor. He still doesn't understand how it happened, but Eric rips into him all the same. The two finally get into this week's DC Comic Books, but make sure they offend everyone with their Indian rain dances and nonsense. It's another long one for the #hardestworkingguysinpodcasting...enjoy! DC Comic Comic Books Reviewed this week: Batman and Robin Eternal #13, Justice League #47. Greetings and salutations DC Nationites! I am in a heroicly boastful mood today as we escaped the destruction of Krypton, investigated the streets of Gotham City, navigated Space Sector 666 and battled alongside the Justice League to create one of the biggest DC Nation Podcast Adventures of 2013. And in the words of Aquaman from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, we are going to call it… Dan and Michael's Rousing Coverage of Comic Con 2013!!! Yes, it's finally here old chums, our coverage of everything to do with DC Comics at Comic Con 2013, most notably the variety of panels where writers and artists discussed what's to come in our favorite DC Comic Books. However, covering the panels was really just a guideline as Michael and I used this episode as an opportunity to lay all of our opinions regarding our favorite superhero characters in their current state out onto the table. In fact, our conversation got so in-depth we had to divide this podcast into two parts with the first installment, which is a part of this blog post covering the DC Comics: All Access, DC Digital, Justice League: Trinity War and The New 52 Panels as well as featuring a discussion on my fears about Marvel's debut of the Superior Spider-Man (Dr. Octopus possessing Spider-Man's) having negative effects on future DC stories. Then with the second part it becomes a little more character focused as we discuss the Batman: Zero Year, Green Lantern Recharged!, Superman: The New 52 Era and DC Comics: Meet the Co-Publishers Panels while throwing in our thoughts on The World's Finest movie. So with my assurance that this isn't the trap of a dastardly villain, I ask you the question are you a man who is going to let one of the greatest comic book conversations I've had with Michael pass you by or are you a Superman who will embrace your inner geek by listening to this entire episode?
On this episode of Word Balloon, Rob Liefeld returns to talk about 3 DC titles he's taking over in May, with the challenge of resurecting interest and sales. They are The Savage Hawkman with art chorse by Joe Benitez, Deathstroke, and Grifter with scripting help from Frank Tieri.Liefeld talks about what his plans are for all three titles, including Deathstroke's hunt for the space criminal Lobo, which will introduce the character in the new 52 DC continutiy. Liefeld promises that this Lobo will not be the cartoony parody charcter he was in previous stories. We also talk about the critical aclaim his charcaters are getting in his revamped Extreme line of book.s like Prophet, Supreme, and Glory. Also, Rob gives his views on writing decompressed stories in today's comic book market
