Today we'll see that church is an army, not an audience. As God's army, the church has been given a mission by God to take the gospel to places it has not been taken before.
Throughout scripture, God gives us several pictures to describe what the church is. Today we'll see that the church is pictured as God's family. In Titus 2, Paul shows us how the family of God should act.

Unfortuately, the Christian community's response has not always been effective. On this episode Dr. Carol talks with Trish to shine the light on how sexual abuse and exploitation are affecting members of the Christian community, and what the church can do about it. A house with no residents is just an empty building, often falling into disrepair. A family with no place to live would be called homeless. In the book of Ephesians, Paul shows us that God is building a house for Himself through His people. Today Pastor Rich will show us that the church is a house of God for the people of God. Eph 2:11-22
The Church is the fulfilment of God’s plan to have a people from every tribe and tongue and nation, with whom He dwells. Chris shows us how this plan starts right at the beginning of the Bible, and encourages us to value what God values.
God, the Church and the Internet Can God interact on the internet? Who? What? Why? How! John 17:13-19 Romans 12:3-8 Preached at Poulner Baptist Chapel, 1st February 2015... Symptomatic of human history has been the development of different technologies. Each generation seems to have had a great leap forward in some way! Think of the wheel, the printing press, the wireless, the combustion engine and the silicon chip! One of the developments that I am sure that you have noticed is the internet. Everything is on the internet now it seems – increasingly so at a government & banking level! Everybody here has used it – either directly or indirectly. The internet is here. It isn't going to go away and it will continue to develop and expand. Likewise, the church is here too. It also isn't going to go away (at least at a universal level) and it also will develop and expand. So let's tonight look at what this internet is, why the Church should be using it and lastly how the church can use it for the glory of God. By using it, I do mean more than just a website with the latest information, events and sermons on it! Before we continue, however, I must warn you, that alas, I have to talk about what I do – much as I don't like to talk about myself! That is probably the best place to start as we can then quickly move on! In the last 7 years I have had about 4 million individual folk from around the world visit my website to read and download. There have been close to a million listeners of the audio and video. During 2014 I probably had communication with about a million people, either directly or indirectly. The world is my parish. If I can do it, anybody can! And those numbers are small compared to some folk! To hear more please do use the link below to download the mp3 to hear. Dr. Johnny King | The Ekklesia of God - The Church | SOTAD 2017 by Cornerstone Pentecostal Church Spokane
Tama ang sinabi ni Edmund Clowney, “The story of the church begins with Israel, the Old Testament people of God” (The Church, p. 28). So ang church ay hindi lang New Testament reality. Hindi rin ito bagong plano ng Diyos, o plan B ng Diyos. Ito ay nasa isip na ng Diyos mula sa Old Testament. Sabi ni apostle Peter sa church, “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession” (1 Pet. 2:9). Siksik ‘yan ng Old Testament references. Lalo na yung sinabi ng Diyos tungkol sa Israel noong nasa Mount Sinai na sila, “…you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples…you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” (Exod. 19:5-6). Today we sit down with Kirk Proctor, senior pastor at Faith Church, and ask him all the questions we didn't get to talk about so far. We talk on what versions of the bible are most helpful, if doubting is okay, heaven, and more. This is the last episode in our Summer Season. We're taking a small break and coming back strong with the official launch of Season 1 in the fall. Thanks for joining us and we'll see you then
20 | Mark Galli on His Concern We've Forgotten God, the Church's Infatuation with Emotion and Activism, and the Need to Return to Contemplative Devotion
At the most fundamental level, sin and its effects on humanity is the reason for all the pain and injustice we see in the world. The Church is the only institution God has given the tools and power to fight sin. In this way the church is at the center of God's plan for the renewal of the world.
How does God's Kingdom relate to the church? In this video we'll see how the church is ground zero for God's kingdom work in the world.
7th Anniversary - Philippians 1:6
One of the most telling scriptures for modern day evangelists, missionaries and Christian Outreachers.
Week 2 – Jeff Maness – January 19, 2020 No one is meant to live life in isolation. This is never more true than for those who believe in Christ. The reality is, you can survive without being connected, but you’ll never have the strength you need. 20/20: Community “If you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time.” – Zig Ziglar Theme Scripture: Psalm 92:12-15 12 But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. 13 For they (the godly) are transplanted to the Lord's own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. 14 Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. 15 They will declare, “The Lord is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!” Vision: We exist to guide people to experience life to its fullest, connect into meaningful relationships, and make a lasting impact. Better Together — We become the most like Christ when we are connected together through Christ. Romans 12:4-5 4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ's body (The Church). We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. Big Idea: You can survive without being connected, but you'll struggle to have the strength you need. Big Question: How does connection make me strong? Main Scripture: Galatians 6:1-3 Galatians 6:1 1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. 1. In connection there should be safety 1 Peter 5:8 8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. I have been kept unharmed, like a green and flourishing tree – a tree protected in the very courts of God (The Church) – safe under the care and the eye of God. — Albert Barnes Galatians 6:2 2 Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. “The Lord's own house” refers to the Church. The godly are planted and fixed there, and incorporated with His people. Like the trees mentioned in verse 12, they shall remain green, extend their cooling shade, refresh many by their sweet and nourishing fruit, or support and adorn others by their useful qualities, and increase continually in grace and goodness. — Benson Commentary 2. In connection there should be support You're only as strong as you are honest. — Pastor Craig Groeschel Romans 12:9a 9 Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. 3. In connection there should be service Galatians 6:3 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. Philippians 2:6-11 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave (servant) and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross. 9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other name
