Trump makes the US more of a global villian by spying on Greenland. The Nazis in The White House promised to slash Medicaid. The newly elected Canadian PM visited Pennsylvania avenue and moderately stood up to Shitler but not really. India lobbed missiles at Pakistan. The dictator-in-diapers pitted Little Marco and fascist Vance against each other in a 2028 match-up. Anti-Semitic hag Laura Loomer convinced President Tiny Hands to drop his Surgeon General nominee. MAGAT influencers were upset because a Repub Senator suggested migrants should get due process before deportation. The Young Turks, who did their part to put Donald Trump back in the White House, have collaborated on a project with vile fascist Marjorie Taylor Greene. Speaking of monster Greene, Democratic Rep Jasmine Crockett used Mama Nazi to demonstrate the crappiness of the Trump administration during a hearing. The press continued to gobble up White House propaganda which suggests Donald Trump will leave after his term is up.
This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump threw a late-night temper tantrum on Truth Social after receiving mild criticism from longtime Republican strategist Karl Rove. Rove had called Trump out for his Pope image as well as his tone-deaf statements about people needing to spend less, and that was enough to send Trump into a frenzy. He got on his social media platform and blasted Rove as a “total loser” who is “wrong about everything,” apparently forgetting that he made a desperate plea to Rove to save his dying campaign in the 2020 election. In a fiery social media post, Marjorie Taylor Greene announced that she will no longer just blindly give her votes to Donald Trump, and that she is going to stand firm in her horrible principles. She said that she had voted to continue funding the government last year because Trump asked her to, but made it clear that this will “never” happen again just because Trump asks. She then listed a series of issues that she plans to vote against, including many that are directly supported and proposed by Trump. Polls show that fewer and fewer Americans are buying Donald Trump's lies that President Biden is to blame for the economy, and a majority now place the blame squarely on Trump's shoulders. In spite of his failing message, he continues to repeat it in hopes that people will somehow start to believe it once again, even though Biden has been out of office for four months now. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

Governor Brian Kemp's decision not to run for U.S. Senate sets off a political scramble in Georgia. On Monday's Mark Levin Show, Antisemitism is pervasive, fueled by foreign governments like Qatar allegedly spending billions to influence U.S. media, politics, and organizations. Foreign-driven boycotts or threats against U.S. businesses, particularly targeting Jews, are unacceptable, and congressional action to stop this is not a First Amendment issue. The IGO Anti-Boycott Act (H.R. 867) merely extends the Anti-Boycott Act of 2018 signed by President Trump to international organizations. What causes antisemitism is antisemites. Qatar must stop pouring billions of dollars in blood money into our colleges and universities, and our other institutions, in a sleazy campaign to spread their anti-American fundamentalist ideology, brainwash our children, promote violent and riotous revolution in our country, and own our ruling class and its surrogates and mouthpieces. Rep Mike Lawler calls in to clear the air about the misinformation surrounding the IGO Anti-Boycott Act. This legislation, which aims to prevent foreign governments and intergovernmental organizations from coercing American businesses into supporting boycotts against U.S. allies, particularly in light of the BDS movement against Israel. Also, Iran's potential nuclear capabilities pose a significant threat to U.S. national security. However, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene appears unconcerned about Iran acquiring nuclear materials. In contrast, former President Trump is working to prevent this outcome. Supporting Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons is not a populist stance. Later, NPR and PBS are very upset that Trump wants to cut its funding. We don't need government TV and radio; the private sector will fill any void by their absence. Learn more about your ad choices. Brian Kemp is out. No Senate run in 2026, and that shifts the entire field. Kemp was the Republican Party's best shot at flipping the Georgia seat currently held by Jon Ossoff — and he knew it. He didn't just flirt with the idea. He let it hang out there long enough for donors, strategists, and journalists to start treating it as likely. So when he made it official this weekend, it sent shockwaves through the Georgia GOP and national Republicans hoping for a clean, high-profile pickup in a battleground state.Let's be clear: Kemp would've been a problem for Ossoff. He's a two-term governor with a reputation for competency, no Trump baggage, and enough distance from the MAGA wing to appeal to suburban voters. He beat Stacey Abrams twice. He stared down Trump in 2020 and walked away stronger. There are few Republicans who can claim that kind of profile. Without him, the bench gets thin — and fast.Ossoff is already pulling in national dollars, and now he doesn't have to spend the next 12 months preparing for a Kemp-style challenge. That gives him time to build narrative, define the race early, and lock down coalitions that might've been vulnerable in a high-turnout, split-ticket election. Democrats don't have to win Georgia by a landslide — they just need to hold it. And in a cycle that's already looking rough for Republicans in other swing states, the GOP needed Georgia to be easy. It's not.Now the question becomes whether Republicans want to rally around a moderate and play defense, or roll the dice with a firebrand and try to rally the base. Either option carries risk. A moderate might not excite anyone. A MAGA pick might turn the whole race into a referendum on January 6 or Trump loyalty. And the problem with a crowded primary isn't just messaging — it's money. Ossoff gets to hoard his resources while Republicans knife each other in the dark. It's early, but the GOP just lost its best card. And unless something big changes — a surprise retirement, a shocking recruit, a sudden scandal — this race has quietly shifted from “toss-up” to “lean blue.” Not because Ossoff is invincible. But because the Republican bench is looking thin, the calendar is ticking, and Brian Kemp just said, “No thanks.” Heck, if Marjorie Taylor-Greene steps in, it might just be Ossoff +7. And it will not be for lack of news coverage.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:02:48 - Brian Kemp Not Running for Senate00:06:18 - Interview with Aubrey Sitterson01:14:20 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. Head-On with Roxanne Kincaid – May 5, 2025 “America's only liberal transbilly elitist” is back with fiery commentary, fundraising updates, listener calls, and blistering takedowns of Trump-world. Health & Travel: Roxanne shares an emotional update on her recovery from facial surgery, with an early CT scan scheduled at Duke. Facing a possible second surgery, she details her solo travel plans and worries — and underscores why listener support is vital. Fundraising: May's goal is $550. Cat in Ohio kicks off a $50 matching challenge, joined by Jeremy and Jude. Funds cover show costs and essential travel for medical care. Stalker Alert: Roxanne reveals disturbing threats from a cisgender woman spewing transphobic vitriol and death wishes. The host, no stranger to hate since her transition, took legal action — now involving the WV State Police. The incident is a raw look at how hate and misogyny collide. The MAGAT Menagerie: Trump, aka “Nitwit Nero,” comes under sharp attack for a string of bizarre moments: An AI image of himself as the Pope, Confusing Harvard with Harlem, Misrepresenting Supreme Court rulings, Suggesting American kids only need 2 dolls, Flubbing Civil Rights Act history, Praising his own wall that doesn't exist. Roxanne and listeners shred MAGAT lies, from calling Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett “low IQ” to defunding general officers in a Stalinist purge. Also on blast: Marjorie Taylor Greene (the “Trailer Queen”), Pam Bondi (“Pam Blondie”), and their dangerous rhetoric toward judges and migrants. Ryan Goodman joins via clip to analyze the twisted legal maneuvers. Economy & Reality Check: Clarence, a trucker and long-time listener, calls in with real-world insight: freight is down, MAGAT hats are disappearing, UPS is laying off workers, and the economy is cracking — especially for small owner-operators. He rips Trump's empty promises on manufacturing and salutes Kamala Harris for pension protections. Law, Cops & Queer Bars: Coverage of a disturbing raid on Ptown Bar in Pittsburgh during a drag show links today's police overreach to Stonewall and Compton's Cafeteria. Roxanne sees echoes of the past — but also resilience. The mayor pledges a review, and the queens didn't back down. Immigration & Lies: The administration's plan to pay undocumented migrants $1,000 to leave is mocked. Rep. Crockett claps back with real data. MAGAT disinfo from Steven Miller gets dismantled. Pop Culture & Sarcasm: A Met Gala mention. Snarky reading of People magazine's puff piece on Caroline Levitt's May-December marriage. Trump's “human battery” theory of exercise sparks laughs and concern. A literary quote from The Great Gatsby becomes this month's challenge. Bottom Line: Resilience, reality, and resistance. Roxanne faces medical hurdles and real threats, but refuses to back down. MAGATs get exposed, listeners show up, and the truth gets a mic.

A very panicked Donald Trump tried to con American workers into supporting his tariffs by telling them a string of lies over the weekend. Trump got on Truth Social and claimed that the tariffs could possibly eliminate ALL income taxes on people making under $200,000 a year, something that's not even remotely possible. Trump's tariffs are barely pulling in more money than we were getting BEFORE the tariffs, nowhere near enough to eliminate income taxes on any income bracket.During an appearance on ABC this past weekend, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent offered an incredibly smug and insanely stupid defense of Donald Trump's chaotic trade war, claiming that the President is using "strategic uncertainty" to keep our trade partners off their game. Bessent says that this gives Trump an upper hand in negotiations, then completely failed to offer any examples of how and when this has worked. According to a new analysis, Elon Musk's DOGE office has already cost US taxpayers a staggering $135 billion while they claim they have saved $160 billion in federal spending, based on the totals from their "wall of receipts." But because we know that many of those "receipts" were either already spent or otherwise not accurate, it is safe to assume at this point that DOGE has cost taxpayers WAY MORE than they have saved.Trump appeared to call for physical violence against people who interrupt Republicans at their town hall events this past weekend in a post on Truth Social. Trump falsely claimed that Democrats are spending "a fortune" for these people to show up, in spite of a complete lack of evidence to suggest this is happening anywhere. He also said that Republicans need to have these people "ejected" from events, similar to how Marjorie Taylor Greene had people forcibly removed, tasered, and arrested at her recent event. This is little more than a clear call for violence against dissent.Donald Trump is paying close attention to the fact that his poll numbers are in the gutter, he just doesn't believe ANY of the pollsters are telling the truth. Even though every poll across the board has come up with similar results showing that he's grossly unpopular, Trump believes they are all faking it and demanded that they be investigated for "election fraud" in an early morning tirade on Truth Social on Monday.Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! Senator Jon Ossoff met with hundreds of constituents in Marietta at the Cobb County Civic Center Friday morning, with designs on pointing out the disparity in approaches on healthcare access and reproductive rights. Those in attendance - many recently fired (or "RIF'ed") CDC employees, others frazzled voters seething for impeachment - had questions completely divergent from the topics he set the table with. All the same, he answered questions for nearly an hour after an opening statement, and unlike at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's hellish scene in Acworth more than a week ago, no one was tased, arrested or asked to leave. That, and Ossoff took the heat aimed at him and his staff in-stride and vowed to do more for those with grievances. You can watch live streams fro WXIA-TV here. Donald Trump hasn't even been in office for 100 days yet, and already the polling data proves that Americans hate every single thing that he is doing. From immigration to the environment, respecting the rule of law to the economy, Trump is underwater on every issue that actually matters to American voters. His overall approval rating is somehow even worse than at this point in his first administration, too. The Montana Farmers Union has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration arguing that his tariffs on Canada are not only harming farmers, but also have no legal basis for existing at all. The red state farmers are getting hammered by Trump's trade war, and their lawsuit follows in the footsteps of a recent suit filed by a group of 5 small business owners making similar arguments.Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show this week where she announced that she would gladly take an IQ test against Donald Trump, after he said that she was "low IQ" last month. Crockett is not afraid to call out people on the Right, and she included some great attack lines against Elon Musk and Marjorie Taylor Greene, as well. If Trump is going to keep calling people low IQ, then he'd better be ready to put up.Donald Trump got on Truth Social this week to rail against Judge Beryl Howell and the law firm of Perkins Coie. Trump was angry because Howell was assigned to oversee the lawsuit he filed against the firm. But there's one problem - Trump is NOT suing the law firm, they are suing HIM. But that didn't stop Trump from claiming that he filed the lawsuit in a moment that seemed to confuse everyone who saw the post. It actually makes total sense if you look at it as a post from someone suffering from dementia.Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! Episode 2257 – From penguin tariffs to AI Hitler voiceovers, this episode is like a political acid trip narrated by your drunk uncle who still owns Styx on vinyl. The Kid and El Pres dive face-first into Trump's latest nonsense, Hitler comparisons courtesy of ChatGPT (yeah, we went there), and the kind of rants that would make SNL's Weekend Update blush. NPR's getting neutered, Apple's losing billions, and someone please get Kid Rock a musical comeback before he morphs into Ted Nugent. Oh, and don't worry—there's plenty of thickness talk, porn plotlines for Marjorie Taylor Greene, and a new financial philosophy called losing 50K in two days. Grab a Triple Bock and buckle up.
In this raucous episode of the Opie Radio podcast, Opie broadcasts live from Long Island’s chilly shores, griping about a cold snap killing his tomato plants. Joined by Ron, fresh from an Atlanta wedding and Easter dad duties, they dive into a chaotic mix of topics: the Pope’s passing, wild speculation about J.D. Vance as the Antichrist, Nostradamus prophecies, and debates over the next Pope’s identity. The banter spirals into piping plovers shutting down beaches, sardines on pizza, and Marjorie Taylor Greene’s antics. They spar over AOC vs. Lauren Boebert’s bar appeal, rant about Trump’s cult, and obsess over the perfect bagel—everything or plain, with lox, capers, and red onion debates galore. From seal sightings and surf casting to shady music managers and Bozo the Clown connections, the episode careens through environmental gripes, school politics, and Ron’s creepy clown dreams. Expect unfiltered rants, beach vibes, and Opie’s grudging affection for Ron’s chaotic energy. With the passing of Pope Francis comes a litany of American and global tributes - Marjorie Taylor Greene's awful tweet notwithstanding. Among them are the thoughts from DignityUSA's executive director Marianne Duddy-Burke, who joined me to opine on his somewhat-progressive papal legacy and provide some insights into where the Catholic Church will go, ideologically, next. ------I've mentioned him as the kind of quality candidate Georgia Democrats could succeed with atop their 2026 ticket, and lo and behold, Senator Jason Esteves made it official: he's running. ------Last week, I spoke with Dustin Baxter at Kuck Baxter Immigration Law about their 'mass action' lawsuit in defense of international students whose visas were suddenly (and surprisingly) revoked. Good news Friday in that a judge issued a temporary restraining order keeping their status intact, pending further hearings later this week. ------Pete Hegseth was a disastrous choice for defense secretary, and that's not just me saying so; former Trump administration Pentagon insiders are, too. The 'DUI hire' fired three top aides, likely in an effort to snuff out any hint of the leaking that he again - again - used the Signal app to share sensitive military secrets in a group chat ... this time with family members in the mix. Was Pete's mom in the loop? NPR is reporting, by the way, that this may have been the final blow and that the White House is now looking to replace him. ------Okay, so even Joe Rogan thinks "disappearing" people to El Salvaodran prisons and skirting due process makes Trump and ICE "monsters." I mean, he still spews (in caricature 'MAGA moron' voice, no less) ignorant and bigoted spew about Latin American immigrants, but still ... oh and this gives me the occasional opportunity to remind everyone that Donald Trump actually allowed in more criminal migrants in his first term than Joe Biden did in his. ------Lastly, by now you've likely heard about Nancy Mace verbally accosting a man for having the audacity - as one of her constituents - to ask when she'll host another town hall. So much to unpack there: she presumed the man was gay and thus should have been happy with her that she voted in support of gay marriage (because gay men are single issue voters, I guess?), is unaware what "Daisy Duke" shorts are or that men's fashion has evolved from the dreaded "cargo shorts" era to five-inch inseams, insinuated the guy was in her face (from 5-6 feet away?) and dropped a litany of f-bombs insisting he get out of her face (as he was already walking away). Need I remind the "lady" about the code of conduct of her alma mater, The Citadel? Something about "honor, duty, and respect, with a focus on ethical behavior and personal responsibility."I mean, at least she was spotted in the skincare aisle. That worn look on her face screams "moisturize and sunscreen, lady!"

Maryland Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador Wednesday to push for the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man who the U.S. government wrongfully deported to a Salvadoran super prison last month. While the administration continues to dig in on its allegations the Salvadoran national was a gang member, courts are also showing their willingness to challenge the White House's claims. On Wednesday, a federal judge found probable cause to find Trump Administration officials in criminal contempt of court over sending Venezuelans to the same maximum security prison in El Salvador where Abrego Garcia is currently being held. New York Congressman Ritchie Torres talks about why it's important for Democrats to speak up about these cases. And in headlines: California sued the Trump administration over the president's heavy tariffs, the Department of Justice sued Maine for allowing trans girls to compete in school sports that align with their gender identity, and Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene laughed off some financial scrutiny.Show Notes:Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcastFollow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday

Marjorie Taylor Greene held a town hall this week that only took minutes to go completely off the rails. She ordered the numerous police officers present to forcibly remove protestors, stopping throughout her lies to tell officers who to grab. At one point, according to reports, one of the people being forcibly removed was even tased by police officers. According to new predictions from financial firms, the tourism "boycotts" taking place among foreign tourists avoiding the United States is projected to cost our economy roughly $90 BILLION this year. Foreign individuals are reluctant to come to the US due to Donald Trump's harsh policies and their general disdain for him, and now American businesses and citizens are going to be paying the price for that. An immigration lawyer in Massachusetts, who is a natural-born citizen of the United States, received a letter from Kristi Noem's Department of Homeland Security demanding that she "self-deport" within the next 7 days or she would be forcibly removed from the country. The letter was obviously sent by mistake, the lawyer believes, but she cautioned that mistakes like this can be considered proof that people who are NOT at risk of being deported are also getting these letters. Executives at Warner Bros. were contacted by a member of "Trump's orbit" and offered a way to get on, and remain on, Donald Trump's good side. According to the reports, the executives were told that Donald Trump, Jr. wanted to host a hunting show on the Discovery Channel, and giving him the show would be a great way to keep Trump happy and off of their backs. (April 16, 2025)Amy King and Neil Saavedra join Bill for Handel on the News. Judge in Abrego Garcia case says there is no evidence Trump administration is following her orders. Autism rates in US rose to 1 in every 31 children in 2022. Marjorie Taylor Greene bought thousands of dollars in stock right before Trump's tariff pause sent markets soaring. Joe Biden accuses Trump of ‘taking a hatchet' to Social Security. Nearly a third of LA's fires last six years involved homeless people, new report shows.
The prosecutor who tried to bankrupt and imprison President Trump is now facing serious allegations of her own. Federal investigators are reviewing claims that New York Attorney General Letitia James committed mortgage fraud to secure favorable terms on multiple properties—allegedly misrepresenting her primary residence, falsifying occupancy status, and even listing her father as a “husband” to qualify for loans. We walk through the documents, the timeline, and the explosive referral letter now in the hands of the Trump Justice Department. Plus, the IRS begins a major shake-up, the Pentagon reels from internal leaks, and 22,000 IRS workers line up to resign under Trump's aggressive downsizing push. And later—chaos erupts at a Marjorie Taylor Greene town hall, the DOJ sues Maine over transgender sports, and Senator Van Hollen flies to El Salvador to recover a deported man ICE says was sent back “by mistake.” The tide is turning—politically, financially, and globally—and today's headlines prove it.Rick Wiles, Doc Burkhart. Today's Headlines: Trump met with El Salvador's President Bukele amid backlash over the wrongful deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a legal U.S. resident now imprisoned in a Salvadoran mega-prison. Despite a unanimous Supreme Court ruling ordering his return, both leaders deflected responsibility—Trump even suggested sending more U.S. citizens abroad. Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen now says he'll go to El Salvador himself if needed. The White House also blocked the Associated Press from the meeting, in defiance of a court order protecting press access. Meanwhile, Russia's deadly missile strike on Sumy killed 35 civilians, and U.S.–Iran nuclear talks resumed in Oman. Trump lashed out at CBS over unfavorable reporting, Harvard rejected a federal ultimatum to dismantle DEI programs, and an arsonist who attacked the Pennsylvania governor's mansion is facing terrorism charges. Lastly, Marjorie Taylor Greene made some suspiciously well-timed trades before Trump paused tariffs. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is pointing out her colleague Marjorie Taylor Green as an example of the reason a ban on lawmakers trading individual stocks is necessary. A disclosure filing showed the Republican Congresswoman dropped thousands on shares in multiple companies before Trump announced a 90 day pause on tariffs. The Democrat had some harsh words: “We saw Marjorie Taylor Greene buy that dip. I got one question for her: How much did you make? How much did you make off of people's despair? How much did you make off that panic? How much did you make off of that suffering?” We'll go over the details with presidential historian and political analyst John Rothmann Today, we celebrate the finale of Mark's Madness 2025. Mark will stop in to talk about the contest, the winner and how it all went down. Then, comedian JL Cauvin climbs aboard to help Kim and Tony drive The Mark Thompson Show station wagon. What DOGE Found In Building 427 Made Hardened Federal Agents PHYSICALLY SICK Watch this video at- https://youtu.be/eL_RuDisvW8?si=DnVGkHH8BbbggP9K The Next News Network 2.25M subscribers 187,745 views Apr 10, 2025 The Top News Of The Day In an explosive segment from Next News Network's RAW FEED that's sending shockwaves through Washington, host Gary Franchi reveals how President Trump is systematically dismantling the federal government's most outrageous spending abuses – and the swamp creatures are in absolute panic mode. This isn't just about budget cuts; it's about exposing a decades-long scheme that has funneled billions of taxpayer dollars into empty buildings, luxury furniture, and even $230,000 picnic tables while Americans struggle to afford groceries. Marjorie Taylor Greene led a bombshell DOJ subcommittee hearing that exposed the federal government's massive real estate portfolio: over 250,000 buildings, many completely vacant, costing American taxpayers a staggering $10 BILLION annually just to maintain. These are essentially taxpayer-funded ghost towns where unelected bureaucrats sip lattes while hardworking families drown in inflation. The segment features shocking testimony revealing that the Trump administration has already canceled nearly 700 federal leases in record time – the fastest reduction in federal bloat in U.S. history – saving taxpayers approximately $400 million. One of the most egregious examples exposed was a nearly quarter-billion dollar 15-year lease for a luxury office building on Pennsylvania Avenue signed by the Biden administration to house Voice of America. The kicker? The building had zero broadcasting capabilities, which would have required an additional $130 million in taxpayer funds to install. Even more explosive, a witness confirmed under questioning from Rep. Tim Burchett that families of politicians are directly profiting from these federal leases. "Do spouses of members of Congress own real property and lease it to the federal government?" Burchett asked. The witness responded, "I believe the answer to that question is yes." Burchett's conclusion was damning: "People need to start going to prison." The segment reveals how the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovered a shocking $5 TRILLION in "untraceable payments" – government expenditures with no documentation of where or how the money was spent. The head of Social Security resigned the same night DOGE began investigating $72 billion in improper payments from that agency. One of the most outrageous revelations was testimony about the CDC spending $230,000 on a single picnic table while telling Americans not to sit together during the pandemic. As one witness put it, "That rubs the American taxpayer the wrong way." The segment also features Elon Musk responding "Terrible" to footage of Senator Schumer refusing to condemn attacks on Tesla stores while criticizing Musk for cutting government waste. In another viral exchange, Jordan Peterson told Piers Morgan, "It wouldn't surprise me if half the money the government spends is utter waste and worse than that, counterproductive." As America faces a catastrophic $36 trillion debt crisis, Trump's team is bringing common sense back – terminating unused leases, cutting waste, and dramatically shrinking the government footprint. Why? As one witness testified, "We have to right-size our fiscal ship in order to have a country long term." In times of such critical government reform, independent journalism becomes more vital than ever. The mainstream media won't tell you about the billions in waste being slashed or the political families profiting from these sweetheart deals. As America grapples with this unprecedented debt crisis, the question remains: Should Trump continue his aggressive cancellation of federal leases, or should he go even further and start investigating which politicians are personally profiting from government bloat? And more importantly – who should be the first to go to prison? Catch the whole RAW FEED live stream at •
SEASON 3 EPISODE 117: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: Trump has already LOST the tariff wars he finally claimed he paused yesterday (without really pausing). Already. Took him only eight days. From Liberation Day to a day when in any other war, literal or figurative, he would have been deposed - 8 days. And never mind how much YOU AND I think he’s crazy; a high-priced adviser to macro fund managers says “a few have quietly wondered if the president might be insane." And after Wall Street came off the ledge and got back to where it was Monday – only, what, seven trillion lost – he declared victory. “Up 2500 points. Nobody has ever heard of it. Gotta be a record.” Because he can’t admit he made a mistake; his head would fall off. His approval numbers have cratered. He’s underwater by an AVERAGE of six points. LAST Wednesday it was an average of TWO points. Since the election he’s lost 20 points among those over age 65; he’s lost 50 points among those under age 30. And he still raised the tariffs on the Chinese again – to 125 percent – because he’s mad at them. Because they of course are winning. Because the Chinese are not negotiating; the Chinese are as they have been for centuries, waiting for their opponents to DIE. The Chinese are apparently dumping our 10-Year Treasuries, driving up our debt. And they’ve opened trading partnership negotiations with the head of the European Union. And for all the claims about pausing the tariffs, a universal TEN percent tariff will be maintained. He didn't pause anything. He simply lost everything. B-Block (27:10) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Joe Manchin writes a book celebrating his middle of the road bona fides. The cover photo shows only the right half of his face, naturally. Marjorie Stupid Greene reveals she does not know what the word "Merch" means. And the president of the hockey writers' association, a bonehead named Frank Seravalli, not only defends Wayne Gretzky's attacks on Canada but his bringing FBI Director and Election Denier Kash Patel to the Ovechkin game - and calls CRITICISM of those decisions "political BS." Instead of, maybe, calling out Gretzky for BRINGING political BS into a moment of sports history. C-Block (49:15) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: She's still at it. Even as Trump's boasts of pausing the tariffs while INCREASING them on China and maintaining them on everybody else, Laura Ingraham is still carrying his water for him. It's time for me to review my dates with her last century, and the extraordinary revelation she made during the first of them about the then-nascent Republican-Media Industrial Complex.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
