Outrage is already brewing over the Department of Justice's failure to fully release the Jeffrey Epstein files by the legally required deadline Friday, despite legislation pushed by Rep. Thomas Massie, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and signed by Donald Trump. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch and Pam Bondi are acccused of hiding names of powerful men allegedly tied to Epstein, while establishment figures like Chuck Schumer publicly claim they want transparency.  As Jimmy points out, Massie says attorneys for victims know of at least 20 men accused of sex crimes whose names should appear, warning that if they don't, the DOJ clearly withheld evidence. He frames this as bipartisan theater and a deep-state style cover-up protecting elites, corporations, intelligence networks, and political power centers rather than victims. President Trump offered a disgusting response to the horrific death of Rob Reiner and his wife, narcissistically insisting they'd died of “Trump Derangement Syndrome” while delusionally claiming world-historical successes for himself. What surprised us was MAGA's retort to this. Marjorie Taylor Greene offered a remarkably heartfelt reply to Trump, and the contrast between her measured tone and his unhinged, megalomaniacal cruelty had the effect of quietly humiliating him. Other MAGA figures piled on as well. We think this captures a deeper set of divisions inside MAGA, and indeed, it comes as other MAGA figures are now warning that the base is drifting away from Trump. Even Trump's own pollster is sounding the alarm. We talked to New Republic senior editor Alex Shephard, who's been writing well about Greene and MAGA. The Republican Party leadership has officially lost all faith in Donald Trump as we approach the midterm election year, with Trump's hand-picked RNC chair declaring recently that they are preparing for major losses in the 2026 elections. This statement shows a complete lack of faith that the President is even capable of turning things around for the country in the next year after spending an entire year breaking everything down. Donald Trump's own fanbase was left sickened and shocked by his comments on Monday about the death of Rob Reiner and his wife. Trump claimed that Reiner was a sick individual suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and went on to repeatedly attack the actor and director. Trump's hardcore fans couldn't stand it, and they didn't hold back in calling out the man that they love for such a disgusting response.Marjorie Taylor Greene hasn't been shy about bashing her own Party as she prepares to leave Congress for good early next month, but reports say that she's also got one more trick up her sleeve before she exits. Though Greene denies it, reports say that she is trying to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson before she leaves as one final giant middle finger to her Party. She doesn't need that many votes to do it, either. The Trump administration is trying to play the victim in a court filing while trying to deny rights to people with hearing impairment. The administration argued in court that providing a sign language interpreter for Donald Trump's speeches and addresses is somehow a hindrance, and that it prevents him from being himself. That makes absolutely no sense and has no basis in reality, but the fact that this administration is fighting to take away such a basic necessity for people with disabilities is another new low for them. The National Trust For Historic Preservation has filed a massive lawsuit against Donald Trump over his tacky, gilded ballroom that he's building after bulldozing the East Wing of The White House. The lawsuit argues that all construction on federal lands is supposed to be approved by Congress, which this project obviously was not. The lawsuit lists out plenty of other violations that Trump allegedly committed as he forced this project into motion, and he stands a good chance of not being able to finish it if the lawsuit is successful.Donald Trump and his administration seem to be hellbent on making "regime change" happen in Venezuela, and that will likely mean a US invasion of the country. He claims that this is due to the drugs coming from Venezuela to the United States, but that's the most flimsy excuse possible. She wants the Republicans to lose and is trying to figuratively burn it all down.  Afterward, Mehek Cooke has blown the whistle on a massive Medicaid fraud scheme in the Somali community in Ohio, describing it as far larger than Minnesota's ongoing scandal and dating back over a decade, involving millions in stolen taxpayer dollars. The issue stems from criminals exploiting Ohio's easily gamed system rather than the community itself, urging audits of Medicaid programs nationwide to protect hurting taxpayers.  In addition, criticisms from Republicans and President Trump target the Somali community's culture and lack of assimilation as recent immigrants, not their race. Conflicts arise from ideology and culture, not race – reject the left-leaning tactics that inject race into non-racial issues.  Finally, what's been done to the Israeli hostages was unconscionable.
