The mental loop is a device used by the enemy to keep you from focusing on the rhema word that was delivered to you. It is a distraction at its root. When one falls prey to this mental loop, God will anoint someone to shake them out of this mental stupor to point them back to the rhema word that was given by God.

1 Peter 1:23 — What makes the Christian different from every other person? Is it a choice to become moral? Is it making good decisions? In this sermon from 1 Peter 1:23, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones says that what makes the Christian different from everyone else is nothing that they have done, but it is what God has done. This is the new birth. Christians are naturally like every other human, born with a sinful nature. But God by His grace causes Christians to be born again. This new birth comes from above and is not something anyone brings about by themselves. It is wholly of grace. How is a person changed by this new birth? The new birth grants a new nature that seeks what is good, true, and godly. As Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains, it allows them to fight against sin but most importantly of all, it makes him right before God. This is the only way a sinner can be saved. Furthermore, Christians can know and have assurance that they are born again. They can live and die knowing that they are inheritors of eternal life. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Friday morning, the 5th of January, 2024, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the First Book of Peter 1:23:”…having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,…” Incorruptible seed - you know, I was a seed maize farmer when I was younger. It is a very sensitive crop to grow. You really have to be on top of your game. As a seed maize farmer, you are trying to develop a very pure seed without any other types of maize growing in that crop for the company you are growing for. You have young maize inspectors who come to your farm every day. These are young guys; they put on their takkies, are fit, are strong, take a cattle counter with them, and walk through your crop every day. I was growing about a hundred hectares of maize, 240 acres of maize and 35,000 plants per hectare, and if they found 1% - that is one corruptible plant in a hundred, they condemned the crop. We had to take a gyro mower and mow it down, which would have meant literal bankruptcy for me in those days. The reason why they did it is because when they sold their product to the public, to the commercial farmer, they wanted the commercial farmer to see that their seed was pure, that there was nothing in it that was not supposed to be there. Now, the Lord Jesus Christ says you and I must be born again. That is not a charismatic, a Pentecostal, or an evangelical term. That is a Jesus term. Jesus said we must be born again. Why? Because we have to start afresh. So I want to pray for you as we close that this year, 2024, God will only allow pure, incorruptible seed in your life. It comes through spending time reading the Bible, the word of God, and then the things that come out of your mouth are pure because you are speaking what you have been reading, what you have been praying, and having fellowship with other believers who are also of that incorruptible seed. Pray this prayer after me, please:Dear Lord Jesus,At the start of this new year, 2024, I commit my life entirely into your hands. I thank You, Lord, and ask You to please keep me pure so that I can finish this race without any corruptible seed damaging my life. Make me a blessing, not only to You but to my fellow man.In Jesus Name, amen.God bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.

What does the word of God say about eternal life?
The word of God is the incorruptible seed.
Deepest Root Of The Cross By Tammy LacockThis week, Warren Litzman takes us to the Cross once again in the hopes that we can understand its deep root: God's love. Christ's journey to the Cross started before the foundation of the world, for God's deep love for us was in His plan before we were even born. God's Word tells us: “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4)“But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.” (1 Peter 1:19-20)God's deepest expression of His Love is through His Son's life and death. Warren takes us through this journey, culminating at the Cross. It's here where the very death of Christ ushers in God's grace and love poured out unto us. At the Cross, Christ conquered all sin — past, present, and future — and conquered death. What takes place within each and every believer at the Cross is the uprooting of Satan's natures, which was passed down by the curse of Adam's sin and was literally replaced with the Seed of Christ, the Incorruptible Seed of God's Son. We are no longer bound by Satan and this fallen world. Our new life is Christ. He is now alive and well in each and every one of us. By Him, we now have eternal life. We are joined to Christ's Spirit making us one spirit in Him (1 Corinthians 6:17). By God's grace, all we have to do is believe. God sent a part of Himself to be born into this world to show us who He is and to save us from a fallen world that is spiraling deeper and deeper into the lies of Satan, to die a lonely and horrific death on the Cross as the ultimate sacrifice to redeem us and bring us back to Him, not to mention that all we need to do is believe. If this isn't deep love, then I don't know what is!God is love. God is true love. What happens at the Cross is at the deepest root of who He is. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
In Between Is the Cross By Tammy Lacock “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." (1 Corinthians 15:45)Warren's mission this week is to help us understand the Cross as central to Paul's gospel of grace. In 1 Corinthians 15:45, Paul reveals to us a distinction between the soul and spirit. We must rightly divide them if we are ever to understand God's plan (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 2:15).In the Old Testament, God moved through the soul of man, through our minds, wills, and emotions in our obedience to the law. Paul tells us God no longer works salvation through man's soul. We are now saved only by His Grace. Through the sacrifice of His Son on the cross, we have been saved by Christ's blood. By just believing in Him, we are now saved in our spirits, joined to Christ's Spirit making us one Spirit in Him. (1 Corinthians 6:7). In Christ, our spirits have been set free of Satan's curse through Adam, and now we have been translated into the kingdom of Christ. We went from soul-living to spirit-living, our old lives passing away (2 Corinthians 5:16).“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” (Colossians 1:13)“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” (1 John 5:12)As brand-new creations in Christ, we are now bona fide sons and daughters of God, begotten of Him. God no longer looks at works-based salvation through our souls. He sees Christ in us. He looks at our new life in Christ in our spirits. We are no longer bound by our weaknesses because we now know that our weaknesses were built into God's plan. By ourselves, we'll never get it right. Only by the Cross are we saved and quickened in Christ. By God's grace we are finally complete by the Incorruptible Seed of Christ now alive in our spirits. In fact, Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:4 that we were in God's plan before the foundation of the world, already chosen in Him even before Adam made his appearance, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”As believers in Christ, we have moved from soul to spirit, from law to grace, from death to life. What happened in between was the Cross.

Bryce Chizek joins Tony and Dan in a discussion about recognizing who (and whose) we are as defined by God.1 Peter 1:22-25
Session #017 is devoted to the second half of Chapter 11, The True Christian's Faith and Experience and continues the discussion on the doctrine of election and reprobation. At the time of the early Quakers, John Calvin's teachings were very influential (and still today). Calvin taught that before each person was born, God had already predestined who would be condemned to damnation, and who would be saved. Quaker writers vehemently disagreed with this teaching. We find this response from Robert Barclay in Propositions V and VI as noted in Dean Freiday's 1967 modern translation, Barclay's Apology in Modern English:“We [Friends]. have rejected the horrible and blasphemous doctrine of predestination whereby God is supposed to have consigned the greater part of mankind to eternal damnation without any consideration of whether they have been disobedient or sinned. This is supposed to have been done so that his justice may lay hold of them, yet it is claimed that he has withheld all grace from them by which they could obtain salvation.” Through the power of God, through the washing of regeneration (or new birth) the reprobate is transplanted out of the old and into the new seed, out of the reprobate state into the chosen and elected state. They can enjoy God's salvation and partake of His lovingkindness. For God has not predestined any part of mankind to everlasting condemnation, or that just so many people will be saved and all the rest damned [as Calvin asserted]. This doctrine is accursed and contrary to the gospel of peace and reconciliation. All these blind guides who minister this kind of doctrine would come to an end if people were not as ignorant and as blind as they themselves are. If there were such a fixed decree from all eternity, then it is altogether vain for people to hire such ministers when they can never bring one more soul to salvation who is not already decreed to be saved. These ministers preach a doctrine of devils in the world, the effect of which is to lead some to dissolute despair or others to an imaginary security. This doctrine makes void Christ's coming as a light into the world, or his sending apostles and ministers out to persuade people to be reconciled to God. In vain is all the preaching of the grace of God which brings salvation, in vain the manifestation of the spirit that is given to everyone to profit with. In vain are the testimonies of God's universal love to all mankind. God's love extends to all, and his arm is stretched out to all. His scepter of salvation is held forth to all. His desire is that all come to the knowledge of His truth and be saved. This is the testimony of God and of righteous men born of the incorruptible seed. This is the word of truth to all. There is a hope in which the believer can depend upon that comes from God and God alone. It is through this that we can truly understand the power of the incorruptible seed. Though time may change, and things decay, eventually dying, we can hold on to the seed that will remain. A seed that sustains through every battle, every trial that life will bring. The seed of God, through the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ, projects us into eternity. It is with this hope that the rebirth removes all fear. May our hope today and all we have been called to accomplish, be founded upon the seed of God. 1 Peter 1:23

“You Must Be Born Again”By Tammy Lacock “Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.” (John 3:7, KJV) “Jesus answered and said unto him [Nicodemus], Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3, KJV) Warren prefaces this week's podcast by asking, ‘Just where is our love affair with the Lord?' God is personified Love. He is not prosperity. He is not health. He is not anything else but Love. All He wants is for us to love him back because He is Love. In last week's podcast, we learned our souls and spirits are distinct from each other (Hebrews 4:12 KJV). When we are saved, by just believing on Christ as our Savior, our spirits are made perfect by Christ's Spirit being joined to our spirit, making us one spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). This is where the birthing takes place, in our spirits, where we are born again, new creations in Christ. It is in our spirits where our old sin-nature—passed down by the curse of Adam by Satan—is replaced by Christ's nature. Adam is no longer our father. We are freed from the curse. With Christ as our new life, we are now bona fide sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. We must be born again to enter God's Kingdom. We are saved because God now sees Christ as our new life. As believers, our old lives died in Christ at the cross, and we arose with Christ as our new life. Paul states this clearly in Galatians 2:20 (KJV): “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” However, it's in our soul—where our minds, emotions, and free wills reside—that we are growing up in Christ, maturing in Him, still being made perfect in Him. Our love affair with Him grows and takes place here. Paul reiterates throughout his epistles that we must have a mind change if we are to understand this new knowledge. We must separate what takes place in our spirits (the birthing) and what is taking place in our souls (growing love affair with Christ) if we are to understand the things of God and to finally be who God created us to be. And until Christ as our new Life is revealed to us, our souls will go on living as if we've never been born again, never knowing who we really are. Although our sin, Satan, nature is no longer in us, do we even know there's been a radical change? Do we even know Christ now lives in us? When the new birthing takes place in our spirits, we have no feeling that it took place. It is not a human experience; it is a God experience. Unless we search and understand Paul's epistles, we may never know what took place. When God placed His seed (the Incorruptible Seed of His Son) in our spirits, we were completed. But we must know this to live it. We are continually growing up in Him. We must have this mind change. He that is in me is greater than anything against me (John 4:4). We are saved by this new birthing in our spirits. Having this mind change in our souls begins the love affair with Him. And this unique love affair is precisely where we begin to understand the boundless Love of God. “For God so loved the world, that he gave Is only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:17 KJV) As believers, our old lives died with Christ. As believers, we arose with Christ, joined to Him in Spirit, where we are born again into an everlasting new life in Him. As the Apostle Paul reiterates over and over in his epistles, we must have a mind change if we are to understand our new birthing. And we must have a mind change if we are to have a true love affair in Him.
Soul And SpiritBy Tammy Lacock “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12, KJV) In this week's podcast, Warren explains how the scriptures divide soul and spirit distinctly and Paul's explanation of salvation accordingly. Each of us are made up of mind, body, and spirit. When we accepted Christ as our Savior, He was joined to our spirits, making us one spirit in Him. “But he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:17, KJV) It is here in Spirit where we are made perfect by God placing His Son, the Incorruptible Seed (1 Peter 1:23), in each and every one of us who believes on Christ as Savior. Here in spirit is where our salvation resides; that is Christ. It is here where He is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. In contrast, our souls—where our minds, our free wills, and our emotions reside—are distinct from our spirits. It is here where we are being transformed, where we are still being delivered (2 Corinthians 1:10). It is the “excellency of the knowledge of Christ” that Apostle Paul refers to when the Holy Spirit reveals to us that Christ is now our new Life, and He is all that matters (Philippians 3:8). The Holy Spirit continually reveals this knowledge in our minds, which restores our souls. Christ's wisdom begins to flow into our souls, our minds. Once our minds become fixed on Christ now living in us, we can then start to live life the way God intended. We are free to live how God created us to live, in Christ. “According as he hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4, KJV) As a Christian, do you know who you really are? Warren explains that through Paul's epistles, and later in John's writings, that we can know and understand who we are by the birthing. By God's placing His seed, Christ, in us, we are born-again, entirely new creations, partakers of God.
Paul, One Man, One Final GospelBy Tammy Lacock In this week's podcast, Warren Litzman emphasizes the urgent need for Christians to know what Paul has plainly written throughout all his 14 epistles. And yet, most Christians are ignorant of his message, his final gospel for the born-again believer. In fact, about 90 percent of born-again preachers today don't know what it means to be born again. As Christians, we can live a lifetime and never know what's going on, unless we dive into Paul's epistles and the Holy Spirit reveals to us the answer to the ultimate question “What is Life?” Paul knew he was the only man God raised up to deliver the answer to this question and how to live once knowing the answer. God's entire plan, His entire hope, His entire scheme was placed in Paul. How did Paul handle it? He knew nothing else. His old life was dead, and Christ was his new life. “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ” (Philippians 3:8 KJV). Throughout Paul's epistles, he tells us over and over that Christ is life. He doesn't just give us life; He is our life. Our old lives died at the Cross, and we are an entirely brand-new creation in Christ (Galatians 2:20). The problem is, we don't know it and, therefore, haven't given our minds over to this new knowledge. Our minds are still fixed on the old person, the only life we've known. Paul said, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5). We must allow the Holy Spirit to do His job and now fix our minds on the Christ that lives in us. Once we can do that, we will be shown and guided on how to live in our new status as God's bona fide children. We are now complete in Christ, free to be who God uniquely created us to be “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4). We have been born again into a new life in Christ, bred by God by the placing of His Son, the “Incorruptible Seed,” in each of us (1 Peter 1:23). Our salvation is Christ, not by any self-effort. God no longer accepts our self-effort as He previously did for 4,000 years before Christ's death. He only accepts Christ, the Christ that now lives in each and every one who believes. Paul was the only man who brought this final gospel to the world. Nothing, not even jail, kept him from getting his gospel out. Will you follow Paul as he follows Christ? (1 Corinthians 11:1). Drop the structures we've built up around us and truly live from Christ within as Christians, Christ-persons? Christ is our strength, our joy, our peace, our righteousness. He IS Life!
Here's the thing about sin: When you are born of God and His seed is in you... you can't sin. Because sin is unbelief. So, by definition, a believer cannot sin. You can't unbelieve if you're a believer. And that seed--the seed of Abraham--is all about faith. Because Abraham is the father of faith. And faith... works by love. It's all about love. Not sinning means... loving! Believing in love. Letting God love you and loving Him back by loving people! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thomas-carter4/support

Being born again is not about being born of the flesh, but it is talking about us being born again spiritually. That's why 1 Peter chapter 1 verse, 23 says, "Being born again not of corruptible seed. But of incorruptible seed. By the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever." What happens when the Word of God enters in? The earth was without form and void and in deep darkness. The earth cannot get rid of the emptiness, the darkness, the being without form, but the Word of God came upon earth. “Let there be light” and there was light and all the darkness was gone. As the Word of God came upon the earth, “Let the earth bring forth herb-yielding seed, and fruit tree-yielding fruits.” And then the Word of God amazingly became seed; the earth was able to bring forth beautiful flowers and fruits. In the same way, when the Word of God enters our heart, a new life is formed within us. Lazarus had died. But then the Word proceeded from the mouth of Jesus. “Lazarus, come forth.” This is just like when a woman receives the seed from the man and bears a baby, she bears new life. When Jesus spoke the word, Lazarus, who was dead and rotten, was able to live and come forth. The Word entered in and it created a new Lazarus. To the Lazarus who was dead, the Word entered inside and made him into a living Lazarus.
