1 John 2:26-29 26 I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. 27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him. God's Children and Sin 28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. Mark 10:46-52 Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight 46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He's calling you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. 51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others replied, “No, he deceives the people.” 13 But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the leaders. John 13:1-17 Jesus Washes His Disciples' Feet 13 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” 7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” 8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” 9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” 10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not everyone was clean. 12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher' and ‘Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. 22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning 23 but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.” 25 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. 28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going farther. 29 But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.

For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don't torture me!” 29 For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.30 Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”“Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. 31 And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission. 33 When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.34 When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, 35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus' feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 36 Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured. 37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left.38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

Mark 7:1-23 That Which Defiles 7 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus 2 and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. 3 (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. 4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.[a]) 5 So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?” 6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.'[b] 8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” 9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[c] your own traditions! 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,'[d] and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.'[e] 11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.” 14 Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. 15 Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” [16] [f] 17 After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18 “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don't you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn't go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.) 20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

Isaiah declares by the spirit himself, “They who wait for the Lord will renew their strength.” Among the business of life and all we give to it daily, there must be a moment in time when we give time to receive what the Spirit is giving. True wisdom is pure. Pure enough that it can approach God with no fear of being found different. It is this confidence that brings one forward, into divine order. It is a moral standard in which a man's mind thinks only holy thoughts. True wisdom has been cleansed to the point where there are no other ulterior motives, no self-preservation, no plan B. A type of wisdom that truly sees God. Where the world is found running from His sight, true wisdom runs straight towards, with open arms. Welcoming His radiant glory and life-altering provision, even in the fire. How you walk in wisdom first starts with purifying the eye of your mind. From there you will truly see and be seen by the maker. James 3:17-18

Why must there be a moral reform in my life?

There must be a moral reform in an immoral system because you can't give what you don't live. We must come to the altar of grace and not leave until fully given over, fully changed from what we once were. I must embrace the demand for outward and inward change in my conduct and character. Of the desires that pollute the heart and separate me from my maker. With clean hands and a pure heart, I am able to see God. There must be a cleansing of my lips, hands, heart, and mind. To be a true leader is to be purified in such a way that all may know Christ through my life on display or hidden in privacy. His grace is always present to help me achieve this necessity for heavenly order. Matthew 5:8

Your conviction must transcend into your countenance. It is the very thing that will not only win sales but win souls. A man who waivers in his conviction of the product or the purpose to which he was assigned, will submit to the hijackers of life. What you have is valuable and should be treated as so. If a leader does not believe in what he has to give, he will always be directed by others. We give not what they want but what they need. Have the boldness to stand behind your product and purpose. This is what drives profit naturally and spiritually. James 1:8

Your battles will only be won by the strategies and discipline you have for today. Preparation is what births praise. It is what produces peace that invades the mind and situation at hand. Your mentality must be that of a warrior in battle. Always focused, always ready, fed, and fed up with what takes place around you that is the opposite of God's promises. If you carry this in your heart it will transcend into your mind. The moment it enters the mind, the body will follow through. Holy order brings forth holy battles. Holy battles mean God will show up. The God who protects will provide every time.

Lord help us in our ignorance. Forgive us for having too much faith for tomorrow that we don't have enough for today. I am told to not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself, and also I am not promised tomorrow. I am promised bread for today. Bring my faith to focus on today through your word. Help me focus on what is needed for today. Provide the bread for today, and I will eat in the middle of my enemies, in the middle of my worries, doubts, and temptations. I sit at the table that you have invited me to. I ask for wisdom and practice discipline for this very thing today.

Can Jesus help me in my leadership? He can't help you at all if you are unwilling to first lead yourself to the altar of humility and sacrifice. Once dead then He can do something of your life. Death will always be the beginning of something that will lead you onward and over. Your leadership can only go as far as your knees will take you. The lower the posture the deeper the impact.

To know Christ is to drink of the same cup from which He drank. To have eyes in which sees nothing else but the will of the Father. To know Christ goes beyond knowledge alone. It enters into an experience from which only God's power could raise again. To know Christ is to be a suffering servant. To know Christ is to understand that position can never supersede posture. Christ conquered all and yet He still prays for me. To be a servant is to be a king. A man's privilege is to know Christ and not only reign with Him but suffer with Him and for Him until He returns. Philippians 3:10-11

Does sympathy lead me to action in my leadership?

Profession without practice, words without deeds, is the death of a leader's legacy. It inverts his leadership and makes him a slave to his own ignorance. What use is sympathy without some attempt to turn it into something beautiful? Every time a leader violates his conscience, he becomes more calloused. He becomes less likely to ever take action in the future. A leader has no right to feel sympathy unless it becomes the byproduct of what He has been given through salvation. Emotion is not a luxury, it is something that must bring us to our knees in complete sacrifice to do something. James 2:14-17

Can I lead without devotion first?

My leadership will stop where my devotion does not begin. The moment I negotiate divine principles I revert back to the dust of the earth from which I came. Holy order demands holy posture. Each moment that I spend in devotion is one more step towards maturing into the work of creation I was always meant to be. Leadership in its purest form is preparing the way first for myself and then inviting others to join. I cannot invite unless I have invited myself through devotion and dedication. 1 Corinthians 9:27

I have learned that Christian conduct within the church and in the marketplace must clarify our character, not conceal it. We were never meant to live under a basket of privacy and secrecy; keeping the demons and desires in the closet. We were meant to live in the light, where nothing can be hidden, and all can be examined by God's holiness and divine order. Your leadership starts and ends here, daily. Matthew 5:15

Your conduct is your crown. The life of a leader is faced with the daily decision to die or survive. One will bring glory the other shame. Wise men speak slowly. They understand that speaking too quickly can invite sin to supersede progress and unity. A true leader will be more anxious to listen to God's one word than to shout at God with thousands more. A man who hates speaking quickly will never fall into error. It does me no good to have talent if I cannot control my ability to speak or hear. The manner in which I train the tongue and the ear will determine the outcome of investment in myself and other people. I will either have a treasure overflowing abundance or a dry well of debt to be paid for eternity. My legacy hangs on each word that comes from my mouth for it is the seed of my future. My wife has challenged me to consistently evaluate, calculate and act upon the type of man I was always supposed to be. Bipolar processes are the number one factor in the cause of burnout in teams. Give time for the process to show its weak points and for the team to recognize its need for change. Clear and practical processes are the main frame for success in the endeavor of innovative design. Although inconspicuous, it is the foundation for everything else that will follow. Weak processes will lead to weak results. If your process cannot sustain at least one day of rest then your organization runs the risk of the Chornobyl effect. The Christian persecution and trouble are not the end; beyond lies the life it brings to him. It sometimes means that a man has to undergo a painful operation or course of treatment, but he welcomes the pain and the discomfort it brings, as long as there is something to look forward to - and the Christain can look forward to the ultimate joy. When we bow before the King and lay our crowns at His feet. To hear that we endured to the end. To hear the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant." The persecution becomes a perfume that we may offer to God as a sweet sacrifice unto Him for all eternity. May heaven be filled with the perfume of our persecution. 1 Peter 1:6-7

When a man has reached his limit in which he feels he can endure no more, that is when the power of Christ in him is displayed like never before. The trials and troubles a man faces are not meant to take the strength out of him but put strength in. Each trial is a color, just as God's grace is. No matter what color that trial may be, God's grace will match it every time, for there is never a trial where there is no grace. If a man but stands, he will look back at the end of his life, when he meets his Maker and offer to Him the masterpiece of his enduring life. In it, he will hear "Well done!" To hear those words makes enduring worth it all. 1 Peter 1:6-7
