October 8, 2009. Latimer County, Oklahoma. 44-year old Bobby Jamison, his 40-year old wife, Sherilynn Jamison, and their six-year old daughter, Madyson Jamison, leave their home to go look at a plot of land in a remote mountainous area, but never return. Eight days later, their abandoned pick-up truck is discovered on a dirt road located thirty miles from their residence, but even though the family's dog and many of their personal items are locked inside the truck and a bag containing $32,000 is hidden under the driver's seat, the Jamisons are missing. In November 2013, the skeletal remains of Bobby, Sherilynn and Madyson are discovered in a wooded area less than three miles from where their truck had been parked, but since the authorities are unable to determine an exact cause of death, no one knows what actually happened to them. Were the Jamisons killed by an outside party? Could have they have orchestrated a murder-suicide? Did they simply wander off and succumb to the elements? This week's episode of “The Path Went Chilly” explores a truly baffling case involving the disappearance and death of a family which has yet to find a conclusive resolution. The Jamison family, comprised of Bobby Jamison (44), his wife Sherilynn Jamison (40), and their daughter Madyson (6), mysteriously disappeared on or after October 8, 2009. Their remains were discovered four years later in November 2013, raising unanswered questions. No cause of death was determined, and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance remain a mystery. The family, hailing from Eufaula, Oklahoma, was considering the purchase of a 40-acre plot near Red Oak at the time of their vanishing. The investigation revealed perplexing details: 1. Their locked truck was found abandoned with their malnourished dog, Maisie, inside, along with ID cards, wallets, mobile phones, a GPS system, and $32,000 in cash. Notably, the family was not known for carrying large amounts of cash.2. A search effort led to the discovery of the Jamisons' skeletal remains, lying face-down in the mountains, less than three miles from the truck. 3. Surveillance footage from their home revealed the couple's unusual, "trancelike" behavior as they prepared to leave. Reports suggested that Bobby and Sherilyn, both thin and emaciated, may have been involved with crystal meth, though no evidence was found. 4. Leading up to their deaths the couple were paranoid and claiming to witness ghostly visions, the couple spoke of hauntings in their home. When the overly private family of three, Bobby Jamison, Sherilynn Jamison and Madyson Jamison, decided that they wanted a change, no one could have predicted what would happen next. The Jamison's were a quiet, religious family who lived in Eufaula, Oklahoma. The couple decided they wanted to move their family of three up to the more quiet San Bois Mountain region, and live out of a shipping container. On their second trip up to look at a piece of property, no one ever found saw them again. Their truck was found abandoned with the family dog, $32,000 in cash and all of their belongings, but there were three things missing, the members of the Jamison family.Make sure you're following along as we upload new episodes every Monday, and as always, thank you for listening!Contact us crimewithak@gmail.comFollow us on Instagram @crimewithakSources for this episode include:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamison_family_deathshttps://allthatsinteresting.com/jamison-familyhttps://people.com/crime/notorious-small-town-murder-mysteries/https://buzzfeed-unsolved.fandom.com/wiki/The_Disturbing_Mystery_of_the_Jamison_Familyhttps://disappearedblog.com/the-jamison-family/https://coldcaseexplorations.com/oklahoma-cold-or-unsolved-cases/what-happened-to-the-jamison-family/https://disappearedblog.com/the-jamison-family/https://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/crime/2013/11/27/jamison-family-was-threatened-by-relative-before-vanishing-records-show/60862685007/https://allthatsinteresting.com/jamison-familyhttps://whatliesbeyond.boards.net/thread/2210/happened-jamison-familyhttps://forensictales.com/jamison-family-deaths/#:~:text=Their%20skeletal%20remains%20were%20found,and%20deaths%20remain%20a%20mystery.&text=Your%20browser%20can%27t%20play%20this%20video.https://whatliesbeyond.boards.net/thread/2210/happened-jamison-familyhttps://allthatsinteresting.com/jamison-familyhttps://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/crime/2013/11/27/jamison-family-was-threatened-by-relative-before-vanishing-records-show/60862685007/Support the show
Not too long ago, a family would purchase a home not only to escape their supposed haunted circumstances but also to start fresh. As they went to look at the land, their truck and dog would be left behind the small family would completely disappear from the face of the Earth. Despite extensive searches, they would not be found for years. After some time passed, eventually some skeletons would be found that would only raise more questions as to what happened to them. So what happened? Lets discuss that in todays episode! Anyway, we're back with another true crime case this week, and it's the mystery surrounding the Jamison Family and their strange disappearance. It happened back in 2009 when the family, Bobby, Sherilynn, and daughter Madyson, packed everything up and went in search of some land to build a home upon. Only they never found the land, and they never returned. It wasn't overly surprising to friends that they vanished as the parents, Bobby and Sherilynn, had issues with substance abuse and drugs. They were also into the occult, which, of course is the actual reason for their vanishing. I hope you picked up the sarcasm there... Anywhoo, the theories about their disappearance are vast and varied. And I'll go over all that in the episode! We may never know what really happened to the Jamison family…
A family disappears one day in 2009, and their skeletal remains are found several years later. In their car is 32,000 dollars, and videos show the family seemingly packing up in the days leading up to their disappearance. The case of the missing Jamison family who disappeared from Red Oak, Latimer County, Oklahoma, on October 8, 2009, is very strange. Mind-boggling might be a better word to describe it. Today's story is a bit of a break from the norm, as you normally hear me talk about confirmed murders, and mostly solved cases. On October 8, 2009, Bobby, Sherilyn, and Madyson Jamison set out to scout a 40-acre tract of land for sale near Red Oak in the San Bois Mountains of Oklahoma. The Jamisons were last seen just before they told family they planned to move out to rural Oklahoma for this change of scenery. The Jamisons remained missing until one day in November, 2013, hunters came across their bodies in a wooded area about three miles from where their parked vehicle was discovered four years earlier. Many theories were considered in their disappearances, including witchcraft, drugs, marital problems, the supernatural, and a little thing called the 35th degree latitude. The Jamison family vanished seemingly without a trace for over four years. Their truck was discovered shortly after they were last seen; however, the vehicle's contents would raise far more questions than they answered. Over four years later, the family's bodies were all discovered together just 3 miles from the location their truck had been left. With not much to go off other than statements and an unsettling clip from their security camera, theories have emerged pointing to all sorts of foul play. From demonic possession to white supremacists, this episode has a little bit of everything awful, including (once again) a possible cult influence. In October 2009, the Jamison family left home to look at a property for sale in a remote area of Red Oak, Oklahoma. They were never seen alive again. Their bodies weren't found until four years later, and the medical examiner could not determine a cause of death for any of them. Theories on what happened to the Jamisons range from murder-suicide, starvation, or drug-related activity to a murder committed by a cult. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance and deaths of 44-year-old Bobby, 40-year-old Sherrilyn, and 6-year-old Madyson Jamison. Their truck was found and what was inside, including Madyson's dog, has perplexed investigators and fueled speculation for years. Madyson loved her dog and would have never left it behind. It looked to investigators as though the Jamisons were forced out of their truck in a hurry. But who was behind it and exactly what happened remains a mystery. This week's episode of “The Trail Went Cold” explores a truly baffling case involving the disappearance and death of a family which has yet to find a conclusive resolution.
