These four women weren't passive bystanders; they were active facilitators, named repeatedly in sworn testimony, lawsuits, and official documents as key players who helped recruit, schedule, and silence victims. Some even participated directly in the abuse or destroyed potential evidence. The idea that there was insufficient cause to prosecute them is a disgraceful lie. The DOJ had mountains of testimony and documentation, yet still chose to shield these women behind a veil of bureaucratic apathy. Wade, and abortion was now illegal in Alabama.
