Just a few 30 somethings hunting some ghosts with a drink in hand. Mostly paranormal, documenting our experiences as we investigate locations and discuss our findings. We also have a guilty pleasure for true crime, conspiracies and urban legends...these are sprinkled in along the way!
The Tipsy Ghost podcast is an absolute delight for fans of the supernatural. These ladies have a genuine passion for all things spooky, and it really shines through in their show. From ghost hunting to true crime, they cover a wide array of topics that will keep you entertained and engaged. I stumbled upon this podcast recently and I am so glad I did because it has quickly become one of my favorites.
One of the best aspects of The Tipsy Ghost podcast is the chemistry between the hosts. They have such great voices that are pleasant to listen to, and their banter is on point. It's obvious that they enjoy each other's company and have a lot of fun while recording. This creates a lively and entertaining atmosphere that draws listeners in. Additionally, the stories they share are captivating and well-researched. Whether it's discussing haunted locations or diving into unsolved mysteries, they provide detailed accounts that leave you wanting more.
Another great aspect of this podcast is its ability to balance humor with the supernatural. While dealing with topics like ghost hunting and true crime can be intense, the hosts manage to infuse humor into their discussions, making it enjoyable for those who may find these subjects unsettling. They take a lighthearted approach without diminishing the seriousness of the content, creating a unique listening experience.
In terms of drawbacks, there are very few negative aspects to mention about The Tipsy Ghost podcast. Occasionally, some listeners may find certain stories or topics queasy or uncomfortable, but this can vary depending on personal preferences. However, even in these instances, the hosts do a fantastic job at alleviating any stress by keeping the mood light and engaging.
In conclusion, The Tipsy Ghost podcast is an absolute gem among paranormal-themed podcasts. With their passion for all things supernatural and their captivating storytelling abilities, these ladies have created a show that is both informative and highly entertaining. If you're looking for something off-kilter, fun, and filled with spooky content, this podcast is definitely worth a listen. The episode where we return to the Horridge House in Vinton, Iowa. We haven't been to Horridge House since 2021 so it was time for a return visit. Check out episode 95 for all the history behind this place and how our first investigation went. This time we had two changes: 1. We brought our new friend: Lauren! She's our (lightly) haunted doll and will be joining us on our investigations! And 2. We couldn't go to the train depot where we famously played train station, sad times. We are three adult women who just wanted to play trains with our doll, is that too much to ask?!? Okay, but really, Horridge House was still amazing the second time around so give it a listen!Come say hi on our socials! The episode where Linda brings us some true crime in the form of an unsolved mystery. This is the story of the Lead Mask case in Brazil. We may have other names for the case, so media, consult us next time you need naming help. Really, if you don't know by now, naming things is kinda our calling. This story has everything: aliens, conspiracy, and ghosts. The episode where Sarah brings us the Curse of the White Star Line. If you've never heard of this, it's okay because Sarah made it up but we're trademarking it. The name is ours but the curse is real (probably), and it's the story of the Titanic and its two sister ships, the Dicktanic and Satanic. Okay, jk, it's actually the Britannic and the Olympic, but please come to us for your ship naming needs, because we are REALLY good at this. Everyone knows the tragic story of the Titanic, but its two sister ships were similarly cursed with “unsinkable ships”, the unluckiest woman alive, and some bad steering. www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where Boydston brings us a smorgy crime…aka a smorgasbord with a true crime thrown in! We're gonna go to one of our favorite countries to discuss the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist. Yes, you read that right. Canada, you're adorable and we love you. Taking place over several months, this is how over $18 million worth of syrup was stolen without anyone noticing. There's lots of jokes about Michael Gadget, TS references, and a Chad story about Sound to discover who is the favorite owner. Spoiler alert: feelings will be hurt.www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where we share our recent investigation at Cambre House in Nauvoo, Illinois. This place is a haunted wedding venue, so we of course had to spend the night! Who knew that the history behind this place involves a utopian society that gives off culty vibes. We saved Sarah from joining yet another cult. Through our investigation, you'll meet Eglantine, Rusty Scissors, and exasperated spirits. We captured some creepy noises that are very unsettling when you're out in the woods alone, a male voice, and some EVPs - the gang's all here!www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where Sarah brings us an unsolved true crime. This is the Oslo mystery woman case, aka the Jennifer Fairgate case. It's May 1995, Oslo, Norway. A mysterious woman checks into the hotel and is found dead, alone, in her room. To this day, we still don't know who she is. Government conspiracy? Possibly. Really what we do know is that she is the OG Kevin and possibly the Illuminati's mistress. She also doesn't wear an appropriate amount of pants and we are very stuck on this one issue.www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where we finish our story on the Hills and their alien abduction. Make sure you catch last week's episode to hear Boydston start the story (or you might be confused). This episode, we will discuss the aftermath of the abduction. We get to learn more about the humanoids..who are just teen emo alien cadets who have a lot of feelings. They give butterfly kisses to transform you (not really but possibly). Let's just hope we don't meet an alien because they will return us immediately with all our impromptu singing. You're welcome, aliens.www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where Boydston brings us a two parter about… aliens, of course. This is part 1, so make sure you catch next week for the conclusion. The episode where Lindsey brings us a paranormal episode about a ghost train…aka the Silver Train of Stockholm. This is an urban legend that originated when the Stockholm Metro decided to change their trains, which obviously didn't go over well. Instead of adapting to the new train design, a ghostly urban legend was born. Get on this train, and you die. Or go to hell. Or be surrounded by zombie like morning commuters. Honestly, there's a lot of rules and we're not sure we understand it all, but don't worry, Boydston is going to get it tattooed so we'll remember. www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where we share a famous landmark in Kansas City…that also happens to be haunted. If you know KC, you know Union Station. We couldn't get complete access obviously, but we did get to have a night out at Union Station and be locked in an escape room. Not to brag, but we totally solved the Da Vinci escape room, thanks to Boydston's binging Da Vinci documentaries. We'll share the history of Union Station, the Kansas City Massacre, and the ghosts that hang around still. Listen, there are SO many jelly jokes, discover Lindsey's favorite word (nerd), and give us some good food nicknames.www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where Boydston brings us some pleasant true crime that involves the stealing of the Mona Lisa. Much like Nicholas Cage stealing the Declaration of Independence (we keep telling him to STOP IT), a mustachioed man stole the Mona Lisa in 1911. This not only made the painting famous - because nobody appreciated her before, okay?! - but sparked a two year search with some famous suspects. We love a good art con story, and we love giving nicknames to Da Vinci (spoiler alert, it's Nard Dog). Shenanigans ensued in this episode and we aren't even sorry. www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps

The episode where Sarah brings us a paranormal episode about the Bermuda Triangle…in Alaska. Most of us know the Bermuda Triangle but the Alaskan Triangle is even spookier. Look we know Alaska is a gigantic beast of a state, but did you know they have the highest missing person rate in the country by far? Sarah is going to go over some of the most famous missing person cases in the Alaska Triangle along with some theories; spoiler alert, it's obviously because of a cryptid, alien, or government conspiracy. The episode where Lindsey shares part two of the JonBenét Ramsey story. Make sure you catch last week's episode for part 1! Here we will discuss the two main theories that have emerged over the years: the Ramseys did it, or the Intruder theory. We're going to learn why people fall on one of these two sides, and you'll see which side we hang out on.www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps
The episode where Lindsey attempts to tackle one of the most popular cold cases in the USA: the murder of JonBenét Ramsey. If you haven't heard of this case, how's the rock you've been living under? Seriously. JonBenét was a child pageant star who was murdered in her Colorado home the day after Christmas in 1996. This is going to be a two parter, because there's no way we could cover everything in one episode, so make sure you check out next week's episode too. Lots of trigger warnings apply for this episode obviously. But look, to lighten this episode, we'll share some embarrassing stories. The episode where Sarah brings us a smorgasbord and we're gonna learn some things! This is the story of Resusci Anne, aka the origin of CPR and the mannequin we've all practiced on. We all know her face, but did you know she was created from a death mask? Or that MJ's famous song is about her? Or that we will quote the Office about a hundred times? The episode where we share our recent return investigation to Whiteface House in Yates Center, KS. We loved it so much, we had to make a repeat trip ASAP! Check out episode 238 for our first trip there to hear about the history and poltergeist activity we experienced. This time, we had some parseltongue EVPs, some Ts and Bs (thoughts and bears), and practiced the “drop” part of the fire drill. Johnny Frank Garrett was convicted of a brutal murder when he was only 17, but was he really guilty? We will give out trigger warnings for this story, and it is a tragic one where everybody loses. The episode where Boydston brings us one of her favorite types of stories: medical practices in the 1800s! This is the story of how washing your hands became standard medical practice, and honestly, how recent this happened is gross. The episode where Linda brings us the spookiest cave in the world. Well, maybe, but it is definitely the longest known cave system in the world. This is Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky with over 200 miles mapped out, a blind albino fish, and several mummies! You voted and this episode won! The episode where Sarah brings us a short commuter episode about Lake Superior - the creepiest of the Great Lakes. Little disappointed it's not Lake Erie, but oh well. This lake is honestly bigger than a lake…maybe why it's a Great Lake…but this lake is THICC, and she's got a haunting history. The episode where we share our investigation in New Orleans, LA…or as close as to an investigation as we could find there! Destrehan Plantation has a lot of history tied to it, and we'll be real, most of it is not great. You'll hear us completely mispronounce all the French names. The episode where Boydston brings us a ghost story or possible lore from NOLA. This is the story of the Sultan's Palace in New Orleans, LA. First, we're gonna play some fun games to learn more about our personalities. Listen, these are necessary facts we need to learn about ourselves. Okay, but back to the Sultan's Palace - this house involves a Turkish prince, opium, a river running red, and some zombie level stuff. The episode where Sarah brings us some paranormal from our recent trip to New Orleans, LA. If you've been with us from the beginning, this story may sound familiar, but I promise you'll want to hear it again. This is the story of the LaLaurie Mansion. It just sold, so we narrowly missed our chance to buy it (darn), and the history behind the house is graphic and disturbing, so trigger warning. The episode where Lindsey brings us some true crime but surprise! It's a two parter and involves a cult, so make sure you tune in next week for the conclusion. The episode where Sarah brings us a smorgasbord of a pretty BA woman in history: Nellie Bly. You probably know her story even if you don't know her name. Yara is going to join our favorite friends from Down Under, Drop Bear and Bill the Australian Yeti. You let us know who you would rather encounter. Yara is a cute little guy but he's also pretty gross and Lindsey and Sarah have SO many questions. Could you outrun Yara? Are you faster than Sarah? How does he drink your blood? The episode where we did a haunted investigation at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence, KS! The Eldridge has a long history of hauntings and is in in the heart of downtown Lawrence. Turns out, Lawrence was pretty important when it comes to the civil war. Lawrence is near and dear to our hearts for different reasons, but this time we got to experience it together! We tried to relive our college glory days on Mass street and realized that maybe we should leave the cheerleading jumps in our past (because, ouch).

The episode where Boydston brings us another wonderful WTF History story: Project X-Ray. Never heard of it? Good, neither had we. This was back in WWII times when ethics weren't really a thing. And one guy, Adams, hated bats, so he pitched an idea to the government to drop bat bombs against Japan after Pearl Harbor. The episode where Boydston brings us some true crime of our new favorite bear…Cocaine Bear! She's kind of an expert on bears now, FYI. Listen, you may know of Cocaine Bear because of the cinematic genius of a movie, but do you REALLY know the story? The episode where we return to the 1858 Garnett House Hotel in Garnett, KS. It's been 4 years since we were here (episode 47), so we HAD to return! If you don't remember, this is the place where Sarah teleported, a ball flew at the Sarahs, and we heard footsteps while we slept. This time around, we encountered a doll named Sarah and she threw us for a loop. Garnett continues to show us poltergeist activity and we are here for it! www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review, & give us a 5 start rating— it really helps!
Originally published 2/6/21: The episode where we did a group presentation, just like school days! This week we are covering the Paris Catacombs, which we're pretty sure that everything stems from this place...Star Wars, Harry Potter, Blair Witch Project...you get it. We're gonna give a warning out here that this place is incredibly dangerous and to please take caution before visiting. Beware the demon werewolf, take some silver bullets, and enjoy all of Boydston's Zak impressions! www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost. The episode where Sarah brings us some true crime about Jolly Jane, who is really not that jolly. Jane Toppan was a nurse who liked to kill…she missed the day of orientation when “Do No Harm” is covered. Jane killed numerous patients in Massachusetts from 1895-1901 and is thought to be one of the most unusual female serial killers due to her motives behind the killings. Look, we have lots of questions here: where were her preceptors? How did she get away with it for so long? And where was Florence?! She would never. www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review, & give us a 5 start rating— it really helps!
The episode where Boydston brings us another mummy story for our smorgasbord episode! This is Ötzi the Iceman, a wet mummy who was discovered in the Alps between Austria and Italy in 1991. Ötzi was preserved so perfectly, it is thought he had lived back in 3230 BC (Before Destiny's Child, guys). We love a good mummy story, and Otzi is definitely one of a kind! www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review, & give us a 5 start rating— it really helps!
The episode where we discuss a paranormal story that inspired one of the most famous horror movies! This is the story of Popper the Poltergeist, a mischievous little spirit who liked to pop bottles. Clever name, we know. Popper just wants to be heard, okay?! And maybe make a bit of a mess while he's at it. www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review, & give us a 5 start rating— it really helps!
The episode where we introduce ourselves…again! This is our VERY first episode, reimagined. You'll get to hear how the podcast was born, how we met, and what got us interested in true crime and spooky stuff! www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review, & give us a 5 start rating— it really helps!
The episode where we share our recent investigation to Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville, Illinois. This psychiatric hospital opened in 1902 and was closed in 1972, and it was one of the top hospitals in the US during its prime. Their treatments of patients was incredibly progressive for its time, so this place was fascinating to visit! We encounter a mimic, Tree-no Mars, an eventful road trip, and our new nickname…the Muffin Crew. www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review, & give us a 5 start rating— it really helps!
The episode where Boydston brings us some 1800s true crime. She's really into this era lately, so this is the story of the Burke and Hare murders. Taking place in 1828 in Scotland, these guys essentially took body snatching for the purposes of anatomy practice to the extreme. Meaning, murder. Look, resurrection men were pretty common back then but killing people to be able to donate their bodies to science…wasn't. Not a good look, but a fascinating look at history! www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review, & give us a 5 start rating— it really helps!
