Seeking external validation fuels the imposter mindset; instead, cultivating a sense of intrinsic worth can free us from the constant need to prove ourselves to others. The cost of imposter syndrome is high, robbing us of meaningful connections and present moments. Celebrating small wins, not just big achievements, is crucial for building confidence, and the "stacking pebbles" approach helps us acknowledge our progress and capabilities.Repetition is the key to rewiring our mindset."Time with your kids, presence in the moment, with people that you care about, the ability to set your own schedule so that you can do stuff like that, yeah, and the confidence that you've got to go out and do what's inside you and bring that out and impact lives, that's huge."— Jeff Koziatekon the benefits of overcoming imposter syndromeConnect with Jeff Koziatek: Facebook Name: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.koziatekFacebook Business Page: https://www.facebook.com/coreauthenticity/LinkedIn URL: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffkoziatek/Instagram Business Link: https://www.instagram.com/coreauthenticity/?hl=enLink to Gift from Jeff Koziatek:Downloadable PDF - 3 ways to BREAK Impostor Syndrome!Link: https://coreauthenticity.com/badassConnect with Jennie:Website: https://badassdirectsalesmastery.com/Email: jennie@badassdirectsalesmastery.comFacebook personal page: https://facebook.com/jbellingerPLFacebook podcast page: http://facebook.com/BadassDirectSalesMasteryFacebook group for Badass Crew: https://facebook.com/groups/BadassDirectSalesMomsInstagram: https://instagram.com/BadassDirectSalesMasteryPersonal Instagram: https://instagram.com/jenniebellingerLinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/BadassDirectSalesMasteryThe Badass Direct Sales Mastery Podcast is currently sponsored by the following:Bella Grace Elixir: https://shopbellagrace.com/?ref=jenniebadassdirectsalesmasteryLeadBuddy Digital Marketing: Use code BDSM when checking out at https://leadbuddy.io/pro-monthly-9310?am_id=jennie582Show Notes by Podcastologist: Hanz Jimuel AlvarezAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. When you've been performing since age four, the line between your work and your worth gets a little fuzzy. Jeff Koziatek shared with us his philosophy of separating the performer from the performance and how you apply this in your own work, whatever field you're in. Jeff shared how he made a major shift in his work by focusing on the audience more and himself less. He also talked about the power of genuine curiosity—a value both of us operate from. We both agree that having a team that feels safe to bring up new ideas and to fail is the fastest way to success. His reminder that our work — whether it's on a public stage or private cubicle — is really just a gift to our audience. This people get to choose to accept it or not was a reminder I know I needed this week! If you have thoughts after this conversation, feel free to join us in the comments! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR9PGymGi3I Here's what we talked about: 05:26 The difference between a performer vs a performance 08:30 Ways to make it less about you and more about the audience 11:07 What does the power of curiosity do for connection 14:30 Why creating a safe culture will benefit your team 16:52 Your best work is a gift that won't always be accepted Links: https://www.coreauthenticity.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffkoziatek/

How does our focus on big wins set us up for failure? How can you be confident without sounding arrogant? Why is it self-destructive to identify ourselves and other by performance? These and other confidence-boosting topics are addressed when peak performance coach Jeff Koziatek returns to The Rabbi and the Shrink.https://www.coreauthenticity.com/https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffkoziatek/Focusing on little wins sets us on the path for huge success.Every time temptation comes, either we push back and get stronger or give in and stay as we are. Over time, we develop the habit of pushing back or giving in.Confidence without competence is not a recipe for success.Ethical leadership acknowledges mistakes, takes responsibility, and looks for lessons and solutions. Is there ever a time to reward failure?Failure is the time when loyalty really reveals itself. When the team manager ignores the demands of 40,000 fans.Churchill: Success is going from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.Focusing on short-term wins often sabotages long term goals. The word of the day: Simulacrum [ sim-yuh-ley-kruhm ]Superficial representation or likenessLeaders whose top priority is the appearance of competence or power are not genuine leadersOvervaluing performance can make us go out of our way to prove something that was never true to begin with.Keep asking until you understand. Meet Jeff Koziatek: For years he juggled…literally he was a juggler, entertaining people around the world. He worked as hard and as often as he could until he realized his profession as a juggler was the perfect symbolism for what he was doing with his life as a whole. When he entered his forties, he was constantly on the road, working faster, juggling more, and falling behind. He was consumed by his performances and defined success as a jam-packed calendar. As a result his marriage was suffering, his health was suffering, and he felt no matter how many balls he threw in the air, it was never enough. It was only a matter of time before everything would hit the floor. In that place, he began to shift his identity from performance to performer, from behavior to human being. He discovered the power and freedom of personal worth, redefined success, and a new journey began – one of health, prosperity, and balance. Now he is a highly sought-after speaker, award-winning performer, bestselling author, and certified coach with both The Values Conversation and the John Maxwell TEAM. What I love about Jeff is his absolute dedication to supporting as many people as possible live the life they truly want to live and NOT the life they think they should be living. He is one of the most authentic, inspiring and wise people I have ever met. So buckle up this is going to be a good one! ... Does the image of yourself align with how you really feel about yourself? There are buzz words being thrown around all the time about being your ‘authentic’ self or showing up fully. The first time I heard someone say “show up and play full out or go home”, I was honestly offended. I didn’t realize what she meant by this and I was like “You Go Home!” (childish I know!) But that was where my mindset was at the time. Even though I ‘thought’ I had a growth mindset, I was quite limited and fixed. There were so many feelings I had and ways of ‘being’ I wanted to become. But my old beliefs were strong. VERY STRONG. They kept me comfortable. They kept me living the words I was saying and supporting my actions (which were not helping me become or achieve who or what I wanted). I had to do some deeeeep reflection and understand some real truths about myself. Once I did. I started showing up fully and playing full out! I started to FEEL more in alignment with WHO I wanted to become. I started to believe in who I was. And I started becoming who I wanted to be…I was now more of an authentic person. But how do you achieve this state of being? You have to: Reflect Discover your core strengths Discover the stories in your head Discover your true values and BELIEVE in yourself. HOW do you do these things? Listen to today’s episode to help discover more! THE GO REFLECT YOURSELF PODCAST To truly have the life you want; the career, house, family, relationships, car, lifestyle, wealth, freedom, you name it….you must learn what success is and where it comes from, starting with how you think. Welcome to The Go Reflect Yourself Podcast, where we provide 60-second brain-based strategies for your success; in all key areas of your life, including wealth, health, business, relationships, etc. Go Reflect Yourself was created after years of being a corporate employee and an independent business owner. Throughout all of those years, I learned that no matter what level of success people had achieved, and specifically financial success, typically they were still missing something, missing true joy, well-being, and fulfillment. I’ve spent a career helping business owners, leaders, and entrepreneurs learn the skills needed to discover their inner brilliance, and that’s how Go Reflect Yourself was born…my goal is to help as many as possible learn the necessary skills to achieve ultimate fulfillment and well-being. Your host, Heather J. Crider, CEO of Digital Architect Media, high-performance strategist, neurocoach, author, and speaker, interviews Jeff Koziatek. Jeff is The Mindset Catalyst. He’s an entrepreneur and artist. Jeff worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years where he produced award winning films and national touring shows, owned a complete event management company, acted in film and television, and performed more than 4000 shows across the country. What you will learn from today’s episode. Why identifying your values is necessary. You lead with your heart. You give others from your heart, even when you are wearing a mask, it won’t be received as a mask. How to stop comparing yourself to others. Why false beliefs will keep you unfulfilled. Having a mentor to hold space for you is crucial for growth. Understanding who are the people in your life that support you and believe in you when you are depleted will help you rise. Self-awareness is difficult but necessary to grow. No matter what your circumstances, your choices, or your past has been, you are a ten. Tune in and as you watch or listen to this special episode. Pause every 5-10 minutes and mindfully reflect on what you just heard. Write down your thoughts, then yawn and stretch before proceeding. Today, Jeff is CEO at Core Authenticity. Tim Price talks with Jeff Koziatek about how too many leaders base their self worth on what they do. Here's how you can break free. ABOUT JEFF: I help top performers gain more personal freedom and professional success by equipping them with the superpower ability to say NO. It's deeply personal. It used to be me. I was running the race – competing with everyone, trying to be the best at everything. I was never satisfied and a certifiable workaholic. I practiced the glorification of busy. My focus was on everyone else, the next step, the next client, and the next project. I was never fully present where I was. I “did” a lot and missed a lot. I avoided pain and, consequently, never really felt joy. I did not know who I was or what I had. Then – I hit a breaking point...
