Email: bidemiologunde@gmail.comIn this episode, host Bidemi Ologunde speaks with Dr. Robert B. Kerstein (DMD), a pioneer in computerized bite analysis and digital occlusal technology, about how dentistry can move beyond subjective guesswork toward more precise, data-driven treatment. What does a patient's bite reveal about TMJ symptoms, headaches, prosthesis failure, and overall comfort? Why does much of dentistry still rely on outdated methods when real-time digital measurements are available? And how can tools like T-Scan help clinicians improve outcomes while reducing treatment time?Dr. Kerstein earned his D.M.D. in 1983 and his Prosthodontic certificate in 1985 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he later served as a clinical professor of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics for 13 years. Beginning in 1984, he has studied every generation of T-Scan technology, from the original T-Scan 1 to the current T-Scan 10 Novus, and over the past four decades has become the leading authority in Computerized Occlusal Analysis. He has published extensively in leading dental journals and edited nine research volumes on T-Scan applications. A pioneer and academic advocate for digital occlusal technology, Dr. Kerstein teaches a measured, data-driven approach that improves bite-related treatment outcomes, enhances patient comfort, reduces prosthesis failure and remakes, and shortens overall treatment time.

In this episode of the HAPPY WHOLE YOU PODCAST, Dr. Anna Marie Frank sits down with leadership and performance coach Sean Patton to explore the real difference between managing and leading, and why so many high achievers still end up feeling unfulfilled. Drawing from his military Special Forces background and his work with top performers, Sean shares how to move from task-focused management to true leadership that expands human capacity, aligns personal and business vision, and prevents leaders from hitting a silent ceiling of boredom and overwhelm. They dive into the inner work, the role of coaching, and the importance of listening to your body and intuition to stay in alignment with your highest, most authentic path. "Leadership is about empowering and inspiring others to become a greater version of themselves than they ever thought was possible." – Sean Patton 5 Key Takeaways True leadership starts with clarity of mission and communication, but in civilian life you must learn to define the mission from within, not just follow one handed to you. Management maximizes the efficiency of existing systems, while leadership expands human capacity beyond what people believe they're capable of. A simple diagnostic is to list your tasks: if you can't clearly see how you're increasing human capacity, you're probably managing more than leading. High-level leaders often hit a hidden ceiling where they feel both overwhelmed and bored, signaling it's time for deeper inner work and a new, more aligned vision. Coaches help uncover blind spots and misaligned goals so you don't have to "hit empty" at the top; early alignment between inner purpose and outer impact prevents midlife crises of success. About Sean Patton: Sean Patton is a former U.S. Army Special Forces Commander turned executive coach, author, and host of the No Limit Leadership podcast. Hosted on Acast.
So much of what is happening these days seems utterly nonsensical, from Trump’s war crime and profanity-laced Easter rant, to the whipsaw on Iran. So, is it simply Occam’s razor, or is there more going on here than we’re led to believe? Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it. — President Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom: A Call for the Emancipation of the Generous Energies of a People (1913) The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson — and I am not wholly excepting the Administration of W. W. The country is going through a repetition of Jackson’s fight with the Bank of the United States — only on a far bigger and broader basis. — President Franklin D. Roosevelt, letter to Col. Edward Mandell House (21 November 1933); as quoted in F.D.R.: His Personal Letters, 1928-1945, edited by Elliott Roosevelt (New York: Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1950), pg. 373 I would suggest nothing we’re seeing, including (especially) the seemingly nonsensical, is ‘accidental’ or coincidental. It is PSYOP/PSWAR, a potent toxic mixture of POSIWID and chaos theory designed and intended to rapidly produce maximum chaos resulting in a ‘Clash of Civilizations‘ and The End of History and the Last Man, to ultimately bring about a ‘Novus Ordo Seclorum’1234 a la Genesis 11 → Genesis 6 → culminating in Psalm 2 → Revelation 19. Headlines [x] = Mentioned / Discussed Trump: “A Whole Civilization with Die Tonight” If President Trump carries out his threat to kill the entire civilization of Iran, he will join the ranks of Cato the Elder, Genghis Khan, Cortez, and other villains in history who chose the policy of destroying an entire civilization. Needless to say, this is not what Washington, Madison, Adams, Jefferson, and Franklin had in mind when they founded the US Constitutional Republic. Members of the US government—as well as We the People—should think about the reflections of multiple Roman authors who regarded the total annihilation of Carthage as an outrage and repudiation of Rome's republican values and virtues. In the Aeneid, Virgil frames the Punic Wars as a fateful conflict initiated by the Punic Queen Dido’s curse on Aeneas’s descendants. I interpret this as Virgil's way of condemning the “unspeakable” destruction of Carthage. The American people should be aware of the fact that if our US government does indeed annihilate the Iranian nation forever, it will certainly have a vast array of terrible consequences for us and for all of mankind. Among other disasters, it is likely that millions of Iranians will be forced to flee to other lands, including those of Europe. Many young men who see their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters suffer will be animated with a burning desire for revenge. I anticipate great horrors ahead for all of us.
In this episode of The Healthy Sleep Revolution, we speak with Dr. Robert Kerstein, prosthodontist and leading authority in computerized occlusal analysis, about how bite alignment and jaw function can interfere with sleep quality. We explore how excessive tooth contact and poor disclusion can overactivate swallowing and airway-related muscles, gradually narrowing the airway and contributing to non-restorative sleep, clenching, grinding, headaches, and facial tension. We also discuss why bite-related sleep issues are so often overlooked in standard dental exams and medical evaluations. Dr. Kerstein explains why primary care providers, neurologists, and even many dentists may miss the connection, and how traditional bite assessment tools fail to capture the timing, force, and friction patterns that drive neuromuscular overload and sleep disruption. Finally, we walk through what patients can do if they experience grinding, jaw soreness, morning headaches, or restless sleep. Dr. Kerstein outlines how computerized bite analysis using T-Scan and EMG can identify whether bite alignment is contributing to symptoms, what the Disclusion Time Reduction process looks like, and why working with a properly trained provider is essential for meaningful, lasting results. For over two decades, she built and scaled a thriving dental practice, became a nationally recognized airway sleep expert, and trained thousands of clinicians across the world. But her deeper calling emerged in the conversations happening behind closed doors — with women doctors who were exhausted, overextended, and silently questioning whether this version of success was worth the cost. Meghna saw a pattern: Burnout wasn't a mindset issue. It was a biology issue. And leadership wasn't a personality trait — it was a learnable system. That's when The Making of Her was born. Today, Meghna blends neuroscience, physiology, business strategy, and real-world leadership to help women doctors and leaders operate at their highest level — without grinding themselves into the ground. Her frameworks support women in making better decisions, executing at a higher level, and reclaiming ownership of their time, energy, and results. Through her mastermind, The Expansion Collective, her newsletter The Audacity Edit, and now The Making of Her Podcast, Meghna is on a mission to give women the tools, language, and systems to rise without burnout — and build the kind of lives they don't need a vacation from. This isn't self-help. This is science-backed leadership for women who are done settling. Meghna lives in Houston with her husband and their two daughters who are her greatest reminders of legacy, courage, and possibility. The Making of Her is where strategy meets real talk. Where biology meets leadership. Where women stop shrinking and start becoming the version of themselves they always knew existed. Welcome home. Garrett Bernardo is our guest on this episode. He is the CEO of NOVUS (pronounced Novice), a purpose driven athletic clothing apparel company. Garrett talks about his early life being raised in a devout Catholic home. He recalls sharing a bedroom with his brother where his mom put a football poster in their room with the headline “Never, Never Quit with the bible verse: “Blessed are those who persevere under trial, for having withstood the test, they will receive the crown of life for those who love Him”, James 1:12, a verse that follows the brothers throughout their lives. Garrett went to Maine University his sophomore year and then transferred to Anderson College in South Carolina with his brother, Nick. Garrett and Nick started NOVUS in college as what Garrett describes as a “side-hustle”. Garrett played college baseball and wanted to play in the pros, but God had other plans for him. Garrett was introduced to a Catholic ministry called FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) which became very important in his life. He became a missionary with FOCUS and talks about how being a FOCUS missionary changed his life. NOVUS sports apparel is different from competitors because the company not only offers customers customized sports apparel, but with faith, builds meaningful, lasting relationships. NOVUS in Latin means “new” or “new beginnings”. Garrett, his brother Nick, and their friend Scott (who played lacrosse at Rutgers) run the company. NOVUS offers purpose-driven design and team-focused apparel. The company's logo and mantra “Claim Your Crown” are derived from the poster in their childhood bedroom. Garrett also explains the three pillars of NOVUS: 1. Pursuing their passion through their God-given abilities 2. Being convicted and committed to their work 3. Never giving up on their dreams. Garrett explains the “1:12 Project” NOVUS created along with their partner, Encounter Travel, that goes to the Dominican Republic and offers employees and customers the experience Garrett had in FOCUS. The 1:12 Project derives its name from the bible, James 1:12, the same bible quote that was in Garrett's childhood bedroom. They bring a chaplain, celebrate Mass, have Holy Hour, then they hit the field with the kids. Although great, customized sports apparel with unique customer service is the goal of NOVUS, it is easy to see that there is a supernatural foundation that this company is built on! Dr. Justin Coulson speaks with former Disney executive and GameTruck founder Scott Novis about the hidden dangers of video games—and how parents can help their kids develop a healthy relationship with gaming. From understanding addictive design to replacing screen time with real-world connection, this conversation delivers practical, real-world solutions for every family navigating the digital age. KEY POINTS Addiction by Design: Some game developers deliberately design games using the "hook algorithm" to exploit children’s brain development and keep them playing compulsively. Self-Determination vs. Hooked Gaming: Games built on autonomy, mastery, and relatedness (like Minecraft) build skills and confidence. Hooked games create craving, not satisfaction. 3 Hacks for Safer Gaming: Buy the game (don’t use free-to-play). Play offline (limits tracking and manipulation). Listen to how your child talks about the game (progress = good, frustration = red flag). Ending Game Time Without Conflict: Pre-agree on ending conditions, give non-verbal cues (like flicking the lights), and offer choices that preserve agency. Offline Substitutes Matter: Create "hard to enter, hard to leave" real-life communities (e.g., sports, jiu-jitsu, Dungeons & Dragons) that offer connection, skill-building, and purpose. Social Disconnection: Excessive gaming and screen time can cause “virtual autism” and impair emotional and social development. The Goal: Return to a play-based childhood that prioritises real-world connection, effort, and fun. QUOTE OF THE EPISODE “If your child sounds like a victim when they talk about the game—they’re in trouble. If they sound empowered, they’re probably playing a good game.”— Scott Novis RESOURCES MENTIONED Books: The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt Glued to Games by Scott Rigby & Richard Ryan Scattered Minds by Dr. Gabor Maté Miss Connection by Dr. Justin Coulson Websites: https://www.scottnovis.com/ – Scott's personal site gametruck.com – Scott's company for social gaming experiences Article: William Siu's essay in The New York Times on game addiction and design ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS Buy Games, Not AddictionsChoose paid games that don’t rely on manipulating your child’s attention or money. Play Offline Whenever PossibleRemove always-on connectivity that allows companies to track and shape behaviour. Ask the Right QuestionsIs your child developing skills—or just chasing random rewards? Listen for signs of empowerment or frustration. Negotiate Game Time Up FrontPre-agree on stop times and methods, give warnings (e.g., flicking lights), and honour your child’s autonomy. Replace, Don’t Just RemoveReplace screen time with rich, social, skill-building real-world activities—like sports, martial arts, tabletop games, or outdoor adventures. No Screens in BedroomsSet screen bedtimes. Keep devices out of reach at night to prevent secret play. Get InvolvedPlay games with your kids—even if you're bad at them. Model effort, learning, and connection. Watch for Red FlagsLook for sleep disruption, secretive behaviour, rage quitting, or declining school performance. Patrick explores the challenges and joys of bringing families to Mass, from energetic children to talkative adults. He answers questions on Catholic teaching, clarifies the responsibilities of godparents, and explains how every person can find a home in church. Patrick encourages everyone to hold on to their faith in the midst of social pressures, standing up for truth with kindness. Norma - The priest would tell the congregation that he would encourage the kids to stay, and he would speak louder than the noises they make. There were older ladies who were talking loudly in Church while Mass was going on, so I had a problem with them. (00:33) Ramona - When I took my children to Church, I would give them special bags with religious things, and the only time they could use those was when we were at Church. (05:36) Robert - Why do we not talk about the Eucharist and share it with all of the world? (07:35) Alex (11-years-old) - Can Cardinals canonize people? Is the Pope's name omitted from the Novus ordo Mass because he is no longer Pope? (19:04) Marcy - We would love to invite Patrick to Arkansas, we are a mission Church. Our pastor took us on 3 years ago. (25:34) Jeff - What do you think about the authenticity of the movie The Conclave? (28:09) Isabella (9-years-old) - Where is the Garden of Eden located? (33:13) Chuck - My sister-in-law is forcing her daughter to get her baby baptized (36:18) Jay - My brother has a girlfriend that goes by 'them/they’ pronouns. I’m not sure how to explain this to my parents. (42:20)

The Statue of Liberty was inspired by Nubian funerary statues, making her likeness more akin to ancient Egypt than to more modern Rome, which itself certainly inspired the Lady in the form of their goddess Libertas. Roman and Greek architecture can be seen all throughout the western world, espeially at the U.S. District of Columbia. Egyptian antiquities played, as with many other powerful cultures, a significant role in the forming of now iconic 'American symbols' too, including the Eagle or Phoenix. The pyramid on each dollar harkens to the ancient world, as does the Eye of Providence, and the various latin phrases Annuit cœptis, E Pluribus Unum, and Novus ordo seclorum - 'he favors our undertaking', 'out of many one', and 'new order of the ages'. The masonic influence in the formation of the United States is either confusing, irrelevant, or sensational, but it is rarely if ever viewed in its proper context. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. Being human is hard. Let your creativity make it easier. Your creativity is boundless, your imagination is unyielding, and the weight of this world is unrelenting. Vyana Novus joins us in this very tender and open discussion on creativity, trauma, beauty, and safety in this interview-episode. You will walk away feeling so deeply seen and reminded that pain is integral to our growth and often plays a part in the creation of good art. Vyana is one of my dearest friends and we talk like two people who have a deep understanding of one another and a lot of mutual admiration -- but you're also going to hear a lot of curiosity and vulnerability as we get into some deep topics. TW: We discuss SA, ED, intimate partner abuse, and trauma. Nothing is described in any graphic detail but I want you to be aware in case you are looking for a purely light episode. I have 100 others you can listen to. However, this episode is BEAUTIFUL and full of safety and love.
