World War II. Somewhere in Germany. Accompanied by a cameraman shooting propaganda for Mother Russia, a ragtag platoon fighting the Nazis receives a distress signal from fellow soldiers and heads off to investigate. They approach a church where no Russians can be found, but the church is inhabited by creatures who appear to be constructed from weapons, parts of machines and vehicles, but still have blood flowing through their veins. The creatures seem like part of the Nazi war machine, but then, one can't be sure in the fog of war. Soon, cut off from the outside world, the platoon is surrounded, their C.O. down. It's up to the rest to get inside the factory of a mad scientist, and soon discovers just where the creatures are from, who created them, and why they exist. Before the asteroid comes to destroy the entire planet come check off this podcast from your Apocolist as Andrew and Presley discuss this ill-fated series. All our links: https://linktr.ee/seasononepodSpoiler Season Synopsis: No Tomorrow is a 2016 romantic dramedy where we find Evie Covington (played by Tori Anderson), a tightly wound, risk-averse woman working in the warehouse of a Seattle-based Amazon-like company. Evie crosses paths with Xavier at a farmer's market, shocked by her attraction to this random man. Shortly after this encounter, Evie receives a package on her doorstep that has been mistakenly delivered to her, when it was in fact destined for Xavier Holliday (played by Joshua Sasse), the same man she ran into at the farmer's market. When Evie brings the package to Xavier, they talk, and sparks fly. Xavier explains that the world is ending catastrophically by a meteor impact and that he wants to live his life to the fullest until the world ends. He has created a notebook that he calls his “apocalyst” which is a bucket list of things he wants to do before the world is blown to smithereens. Evie helps him accomplish one of these list items and decides to make her own, joining Xavier in his adventure. Across the series, we see Evie become less rigid in her approach to life and Xavier reigning in his wild lifestyle to meet somewhere in the middle. Philosophies collide when nobody, save a few people believe Xavier's theory, which has been meticulously calculated, and Evie asks Xavier to picture what life might be like beyond this catastrophic event should it not occur. In the end, we see that Xavier's math is correct, and he is recruited by top astrophysicists across the world to help save the earth while Evie leaves for the Philippines for a dream job working with people in need at a charity organization.

Perfection. Not one single misstep. I can't think of anything to criticize. The storytelling was stupendous, the chemistry was off the charts, the writing was amazing, and Paris adds to the perfection. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Hallmark definitely needs to do more movies like this. This time, our focus is on the 1992 Disney film ALADDIN. After some reviews, we discuss how this is a movie about people pretending to be something they're not; we talk about what ‘diamond in the rough' means (both to a 10-year-old Rob, and today); and we think about media depictions of class, from country-house dramas to inner-city soap operas. Next Up Next time (sticking to the format!), our focus turns to the 2019 live-action remake of ALADDIN. When talking about the animation at the start of the film, Sam mentions STEAMBOAT WILLIE; if you don't know about this Disney milestone, then this Wikipedia is worth reading: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steamboat_Willie. The ‘Evil Dead' franchise continues, but not after Rob mourns the passing of a cultural touchstone from our screens.
