Bust out the pancakes, ready for their stolen syrup worth $6 million, as Presley and Andrew discuss this black comedy about a syrup heist. All our Links: https://linktr.ee/seasononepodSeason Spoiler Synopsis: The Sticky is a 2024 Amazon Prime black comedy series based in Quebec, Canada. We follow Ruth Landry (Margo Martindale), a maple syrup farmer who finds her farm under threat as she works tirelessly to keep it going after her husband Martin fell into a coma. The leader of the Quebec Maple Association Leonard Gauthier threatened to close down the farm because technically she is running it, and it's in her husbands name. Remy Bouchard, the QMA's sole security guard, advocates for a bigger security team at the QMA but is rudely shot down by Leonard and his son Leo. Little do they know, Remy and his friend Orval have been stealing one barrel per month and making money on the side in the black market. Mike Byrne is a wannabe mobster who found himself on assignment to house sit for Charlie, his boss, after making a mistake during a heist. Remy has an idea--steal one million dollars worth of syrup from the QMA's stores before they close down the facility after harvest. While out at his birthday dinner, Remy overhears Mike on the phone discussing work when he mentioned a crime family's last name. Remy then approaches Mike with an opportunity: a maple syrup heist. Mike murders Orval to keep the heist contained to people he can trust. In a moment of frustration with Remy's uncertainty about their heist after Orval's murder, Mike puts Remy's blood soaked mittens back in their house to frame Remy. Mike approaches Ruth with an opportunity to join the heist and get some cash to save her farm. A big city cop is called in to investigate the murder of Remy's friend, leading Ruth, Remy, and Mike to race the police to a storage unit where the stolen barrels were being hidden. The group is able to narrowly get the barrels out of the storage unit and save their hides for a little while longer, until Leo introduces Remy to the new head of security at the QMA. Mike plans to kill Gary to resolve their personnel problem, while both Remy and Ruth urge him to be less violent. They agree that Remy will draw Gary out and Mike will just break one of his legs, putting him out of commission long enough to pull of their heist which must take place within a few days. Remy and Gary are checking Gary's traps when they have a heart to heart and Gary decides he'll quit because Remy was slighted by being sidestepped on a promotion. Mike goes off book and tries to shoot Gary dead to solve their problem, which results in Gary beating up Mike and Mike ultimately slipping away. Mike's actions and the unrest in the town attract a member of Mike's crime organization Bo to investigate. Bo interrogates Mike, Ruth, and Remy to uncover what they've been up to and takes over her supposed heist. Bo outs Mike as a screw-up and tells the story of his nickname, Lollipop. While Bo is upstairs chatting with Charlie, Mike, Ruth, and Remy argue loudly. Bo slams her cane into the ground to get them to shut up which snaps it and she flips over the balcony railing, falling to her supposed death. Mike hides Bo's body in a chest freezer in the garage and the next day is questioned by the police, who see some blood on the freezer. They check the freezer to find it empty much to both Mike's relief and dismay. Ruth, Remy, and Mike change their heist plan to steal the syrup via tanker in the middle of the harvest festival instead of doing it overnight. While the QMA festival is taking place and the farmers become aggressive, the crew is stealing syrup. Hearing the chants of the farmers, the crew realizes that they are on their way to the Association to take back their syrup. Ruth acts quickly to syphon some gas and throw a molotov cocktail at the foundation of a building the Association was building, creating a distraction. The crew finishes up and barely makes away with almost two full tanks of syrup while Remy's father is arrested for the murder of Orval and Bo is seen bloodied and bruised approaching Martin's hospital bed.

Grab your satanic bible, throw on your favorite heavy metal t-shirt, and come join the cult of Hysteria! with Presley and Andrew. All our Links: https://linktr.ee/seasononepodSeason Spoiler Synopsis: Hysteria! is a Peacock Original comedy horror-thriller show set in 1989 Happy Hollow, Michigan--a suburb in Detroit. The show opens with Ryan and Faith getting frisky in Faith's room when masked men break in to Faith's home and kidnap Ryan and Faith. When Ryan, captain and quarterback of the football team is kidnapped and later found dead, the scene of his death has Satanic elements. Faith is seemingly able to escape and stumbles her way home a few days later. Dylan, Jordy, and Spud are best friends, outcasts, and bandmates. Their heavy metal band Dethkrunch is struggling to get interest from people in town, namely their fellow high school students. Capitalizing on the sudden spike of interest in the occult (with Ryan's murder), the band rebrands themselves as a Satanic metal band. Dylan's popularity, alongside the band's, increases and he finally captures the attention of his crush Judith. Dethkrunch hosts a few concerts, while deepening the influence and intensity of their newfound Satanic "cult". The cult group grows as Judith and friends get more passionate about Satanism, and the group's practices and commitment grows beyond the scope of the band. Ryan's murder is being investigated, ending up with Dylan and friends being brought in for questioning. They're cleared from suspicion pretty quickly by the police but Faith's mother Tracy leverages Satanic panic to scare the townsfolk into placing the band and their "cult" into the center of the town's witch hunt, especially as more supernatural activity begins to occur in town. Dylan's mother Linda is attacked by a demon and later becomes possessed, strengthening Tracy's hold on the town. Faith gets suspicious about the group that abducted her and Ryan, finding out that Tracy was the one who called The Reverend to kidnap her and "deprogram" her (making her a good Christian again). It turns out that Ryan wasn't supposed to be there, and the men working for The Reverend had to take him too since he saw their faces. Ryan died of an untreated asthma attack and to draw suspicion away from them, they staged the scene to look like a Satanic ritual. Faith gets coerced into planting Ryan's inhaler in Jordy's room in order to nudge the police in the direction of the band once again. Faith ends up working with Jordy to expose The Reverend as Chief Dandridge uncovers Tracy's kidnapping many years prior, and The Reverend's deprogramming her. Tracy brings Linda, who is fully possessed by the devil at this point, to the church for an exorcism in front of the townspeople, with Dylan and Gene (Dylan's dad) tagging along desperate to save her. Dylan, Jordy, and Spud work to expose Tracy's involvement in Ryan's murder and the panic of the town but are unsuccessful in their effort. Dylan helps Linda break free of her possession, with Tracy succumbing to the devil as the church burns down around her. The Reverend, Beaumont Hicks, is arrested by Chief Dandridge and Tracy is arrested at the scene of the church fire. The townsfolk try to stop Officer Olsen from arresting Tracy, but she stops them and says she'll go with them because the truth will set her free. In the end we see the Satanic cult breaking up after the group stops Judith from ritualistically killing Tonya, Dethkrunch getting back together, Judith getting sent to LA to be with her dad, and Linda appears to still be haunted by the devil.

The show is a modern take on ancient Greek mythology. The story focuses on three prophecized humans destined to overthrow Zeus (Jeff Goldblum). The show is narrated by Prometheus, who details the stories of these three characters along with several other important gods and classic Greek characters. The story starts with Riddy (Aurora Perrineau), who has fallen out of love with her husband Orpheus (Killian Scott) and dies on Olympus Day, celebrating the gods. After her funeral, Orpheus takes away her coin to cross through the underworld, thus trapping Riddy to work in the underworld for the next 200 years. Zeus has become preoccupied with his prophecy, which reads, “A line appears, the order wanes, the family falls, and Kaos reigns.” After interpreting, a new wrinkle on his forehead is the line that starts the prophecy. Through their journey in the underworld, Liddy and Caeneus discover that the frame, the final destination in the underworld that reincarnates the souls, is actually a trap that steals your soul and funnels their energy into Zeus Meander water, which gives all the gods their power. Just as they are trying to halt people going through the frame, Orpheus shows up and tries to take Liddy from the underworld, and Caenaus gets dragged through the frame by his mother. Ari discovers that her brother is alive and well and has been turned into a beast, and she goes with Daeydilus to rescue him, resulting in the death of her father, fulfilling his prophecy, and her becoming the leader of Crete. It is revealed through various ways that Jo is indeed in a different reality and that this occurrence has happened to many other astronauts and high-altitude pilots, including Henry Caldera, hence his experiments with the CAL. Along with the boy, we see Daniel Solace (Aneurin Barnard) board the ship, seemingly from the Prometheus. He has mysterious devices and a beetle, which he uses to manipulate the ship in odd ways. As the show progresses, we discover more areas of the ship which seemingly are memories of the various passengers and break the confines of reality. This all reveals that this ship and the world at large that the passengers are living in is a simulation and are seemingly trapped by Maura's father, who is revealed to be watching the passengers on monitors. Before the simulation is shut down and the loop is started over for the passengers to relive, Daniel was able to modify the code and make a new reset key that will finally break Maura out of the simulation. Finally free of the simulation, Maura discovers that her and the various passengers we have been following are aboard a space ship named the Prometheus in the year 2099.

As Ilonka spends time in the house, she has hallucinations of an old man and old woman periodically, also uncovering the secrets of a cult called the Paragon that previously occupied in the house. The Midnight Club performs a ritual discussed in a journal of Julia Jayne (played by Larsen Thompson) to help save Anya (Ruth Codd) from terminal bone cancer after her health takes a dive. The ritual is ultimately proven unsuccessful, and Ilonka is convinced by Shasta (a woman who lives in a commune close to Brightcliffe, played by Samantha Sloyan) to allow her into Brightcliffe to perform the ritual again, by revealing that she herself is Julia Jayne and that the ritual will work this time. Georgia finds Ilonka, Shasta, and Shasta's friends from the commune in the hidden basement of the home, and pleads with Ilonka not to drink the tea Shasta has given her as part of the ritual, just before multiple of the other women there start falling very ill after drinking it. Georgia and Shasta scuffle, resulting in Shasta getting away while Georgia and Ilonka provide medical aid to and call EMS for the other women. A member of the group leaves as they are found to have been misdiagnosed, and the group finish their stories at their final Midnight Club meeting of the show. The series leaves us with a cliffhanger showing Georgia take off a wig to reveal both that she is bald (and potentially dealing with a sickness herself) but also has a tattoo of the hourglass symbol which represents the Paragon on the back of her neck.

They fight each other, and the Ants and Barbs prevail, taking Flame as a prisoner and coming to an agreement with Harmony, Flame's former friend, and confidant, the new leader of the Privileged.
