After five years, Kurt and Kate took to the road and returned to Lighthouse Ministries Family Store in Brandon! They've recently renovated that location, and it was wonderful to reconnect with the ministry to get an update on all their services that include residential programs, feeding and sheltering the homeless, and outreach centers within their thrift stores to assist low-income and at-risk families in West Central Florida. Do you ever feel like you don't have enough faith to do what God asks you to do? Or that God isn't big enough to help you? If you answered yes to either question, you're not alone. Even Abraham and Noah also struggled when God gave them instructions! We need to remember that it's not about having faith in ourselves. God isn't interested in the amount of faith we have when we start, but it is the faith we place in God that matters. Faith in ourselves doesn't impress the Lord. Throughout scripture, God commends people who obeyed Him despite their lack of faith. We start our race, and as we obey, our faith in God grows. Show Length 1 Hour 25 Minutes At The Break Out Session, we explore ways to increase our confidence, connection, and professional presence so we can achieve more, faster, with less stress. In the podcasts, we interview achievers, looking for lessons that can help us on our journeys. [caption id="attachment_1387" align="alignright" width="200"] Greg Horn[/caption] Our guest today is Greg Horn. Greg has learned and teaches many lessons. I met Greg about twenty years ago at a Toastmasters meeting. He is president of Horn Marketing and Consulting. He produces and hosts a radio show in Lexington called 1250 Sports Talk. He has been the Eastland Campus Pastor at Vineyard Community Church and Director of Development at The Lighthouse Ministries and Former Executive Minister at Northeast Christian Church. He's provided Leadership Development at CMI Consulting. He was a basketball coach at Western Kentucky. One reason he is on this show is due to a failure that began while he was at a John Maxwell conference. He owned a grocery store in Cynthiana, Kentucky that was ruined by a flood while he was at that conference, costing Greg huge sums of money and personal anguish. We talk about that story, and how he failed forward, met John Maxwell again, and got a chapter in the Maxwell book, Failing Forward.
