What does it really mean to live as a family on mission? In this inspiring episode of the Family Teams Podcast, Jeremy is joined by Mark and Michelle Tiderman, this month's Accelerator community coaches, to share their journey of following God as a family. From meeting on the mission field in Mexico City to planting roots in Fairfield, Ohio, the Tiderman's reveal how they've woven mission into every stage of life - raising kids, coaching sports, hosting neighbors, even starting a CrossFit community. You'll hear how they've learned to see family not as an obstacle to mission, but as God's design for mission itself. If you've ever wondered how to blend family life with kingdom purpose, this episode is full of practical wisdom and powerful stories. MC Live | How to Grow Your Missional Community | Apostle Moses Mukisa & Pr. Jeremy Byemanzi
Where do we find our identity? As we consider this, we realize it is a multi-faceted question. We have the family contexts that we grew up in, we have the cultures that have shaped us, and the places where we have lived. We have the schools we have attended, the friendships and hobbies we've enjoyed, and so much more. But as we consider the Christian faith in this question. we come to realize that we all find our identity somewhere along a four-part story arc: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and New Creation. And the more that we live into the identity of those who have been created anew in Christ. the more we understand our true purposes in life. Pastor Cheryl shares from 1 Thessalonians. The gospel of Jesus Christ transformed the world in the first three centuries after the resurrection, spreading from town to town and nation to nation with great speed. The book of Acts documents the start of that amazing process. Reflecting on the effectiveness of the early church, Pastor Cheryl highlights both the urgency they felt and the grounding of their faith.
In week 4 of our series, Sent | Living into the Missio Dei, Pastor Ben teaches on what it means to live as a missional community. As the body of Christ, we are given different gifts and abilities that the Lord can use to encourage others in their walk with Jesus. Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone to start the missional work that the Lord is calling you to do. It might be something in the community or within the local body of believers. We are all empowered by the same Spirit to edify one another and lead others into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our church's theme for 2025 is "Building a Missional Community." Worship, community and mission must be lived out intentionally for us to be faithful to God's calling. Through the lifestyle of the early church, we can learn what it means to be a missional community.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:18-21 - All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

In this episode, we invite Jesus' presence and explore how the Holy Spirit ignites our spiritual gifts to fulfill God's calling. Starting with a moment of silence, we dive into key scriptures like Romans 12:6-8 and 2 Timothy 1:6, discovering how every believer is equipped to serve. We'll challenge the traditional view of ministry, emphasizing that it's not just for clergy or volunteers, but for all believers in every area of life (1 Peter 2:9). By offering ourselves fully, God's Spirit can fan our gifts into flame, empowering us to be His missionaries and light up the world.Takeaway: Embrace your spiritual gifts, live your calling, and partner with the Spirit to reach those who have yet to experience God's love. How will you use your gifts today?
It can be difficult to establish a culture of missional community. Today, we discuss what the DNA of a new missional community looks like.

As we have been for a few weeks, we encourage you to review, re-listen and journal alongside this sermon. The false self keeps people out, the true self welcomes people in alongside Jesus. That's the difference… Jesus is in the middle and makes a safe playground, otherwise we're constantly afraid of getting hurt (again). Salvation is deeper by surrendering self to God alongside others. Here are the 2 questions that we were asked to process alongside someone we trust spiritually (or in your Missional Community). Personal Question: Are any of my attempts to manage my loneliness actually taking me into a greater place of loneliness? (notice any relational pattern that's second-rate to real love).Community Question: What story do I have that I want to celebrate with a faith community? (notice how God met a prayer, gave more than asked for, or just adds joy to everyday life).Support the show

The grain offering was a “tithe” symbolizing the surrender of the first 10% of our harvest to God. This offering connects to the overarching theme of surrendering a part of our lives upfront, to open up surrender in the rest of our lives. This is the first and best, not the leftovers. As New Testament Christians, we are called to give more than the Old Testament tithe. Not just to a church organization, not just to a good cause. Generosity, giving our first and our best, should be the posture of our lives. This goes far beyond money. This principle touches our time, our attitude, our gratefulness, our family priorities and a hundred other things. This is the point where idea of "surrender" turns into a regular spiritual "practice." We engage in this practice by consistently offering small aspects of our lives to God as a form of worship. As time passes, we begin to realize that there are additional small things that can be joyfully given to God. A lifelong commitment to this type of progress can lead to a life where what we've gained far exceed what has been given. Here are the 2 questions that we were asked to process alongside someone we trust spiritually (or in your Missional Community). Personal Question: What's the smallest thing that I'm having the biggest problem surrendering to God? Community Question: What small thing surrender (10%) would make me more alive and surrendered to God in the big things (90%)?Support the show
In the second week of our series about the Church as the Bride of Christ, we'll explore how churches serve as missional communities. What do we mean by "mission," and how do we differentiate the good things a church CAN do the missional things a church MUST do? Series Overview:Throughout history, the Christian church has occasionally lost its way, becoming distracted or obsessed with money, political power, or cultural relevancy. But at its best, the church has been a beacon of grace, acceptance, and holiness — a spiritual refuge for the broken-hearted and a light illuminating the way to God for those far from Him. How can the Church, the Bride of Christ, stay true to the purpose and assignment that Jesus gave her? Because when the Church looks like Jesus, the church is lovely.Join Verve City Church in person (14670 Ramona Ave., Chino, CA) or streamed on YouTube at 8:30, 10 & 11:30am PT on Sundays.

As Tribe moves into its silver jubilee celebrations, we were joined by Pastor Fini and so blessed to receive a great word of encouragement about the key values that Tribe has fought for. With great vulnerability, joy and courage, Fini shared six key themes that define Tribe Church:1. The presence of God is a stand-out value!2. Praying for the sick is a passion of this church.3. Ministering to the New Age people at national festivals and in our region has been a constant for many years!4. David's Tent worship with harp and bowl model of prayer and intercession.5. A passion for theology, including the books that have been written on healing, heart revolution, the glory, community and now sensitive prophetic people. Lastly,6. Tribe Church is a community of love. We live it to the best of our ability. We are not perfect, but we are authentic in our pursuit growing in His ability to love.We pray these values will be blessed and grown in the lives of all who visit, attend and participate in this community of faith.God is so good, and we give Him all the glory for walking us through 25 years of life together.“This is how we have discovered love's reality: Jesus sacrificed his life for us. Because of this great love, we should be willing to lay down our lives for one another.” 1 John 3:16 TPT
When He was on earth Jesus went about modeling what it looks like to be on God's mission. He told the people of His day that he would “only do what he saw His Father doing”. And the Father's mission was a mission that was compelled by great love!As God's children we now get to follow in Jesus' footsteps. God is sending us out on a mission to release His love and freedom into the world around us. However, just because He sends us doesn't mean that we won't have to contend as we go.In this message Rosie looks at a day in the life of Jesus and the disciples from the story in Mark 4, where Jesus crosses over to the other side of the lake, but has to calm a storm on the way.Rosie unpacks a number of myths that we can sometimes buy into as we follow in Jesus footsteps and looks at the ways God seeks to strengthen and grow us as we walk with Him.
This November we will be celebrating Tribe's 25th Birthday! Amazingly this milestone coincides with another significant date in early October, as Phil and Maria Mason celebrate 40 years of marriage, of life in the kingdom and of building and leading missional community together.Phil and Maria got saved and met each other in the Byron Shire during a revival outpouring in the early 80's. Needless to say the Lord has led them on a wild kingdom ride over the past 40 years, full of ups and downs and loads of glory. In this informal interview Phil and Ree talk about the different ways God has led and sustained them over the years. As a Tribe, this is a season to celebrate and honour all that the Lord has done, as we also look to the days ahead full of anticipation for all He is yet to do.
In our new series, we dive into messages and conversations on how to be a missional community. For us to grow and prosper, both individually and corporately, God wants to resource us with His Kingdom economy. This week, Maria takes us on a journey about the lavish generosity of God. In 1 John 3:1 we read:“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God - and that is what we are!”God is a generous Father who never does anything sparingly. He's not a tight-fisted god who gives only when we've earned something or have impressed him in some way. Humans, however, are not generous until they choose to model themselves on something! In the kingdom, we model ourselves on Jesus! Missional community is a demonstration of the lavish love of the Father. There are three things we can do to break scarcity:1. Before we can address that, we have to expose the devil daily as He attacks God's nature with accusations in this area.2. Generosity is the path to blessing. To break the fear of scarcity, we must give, not just financially but also emotionally, from our hearts.3. Put all entitlement on notice! Entitlement is a virus. God wants us to delete it from our hearts. Entitlement culture teaches that we deserve to have things given to us and that we should have special privileges. In stark contrast to today's entitlement culture, Jesus gave up His divine rights and privileges—and His own life—so that we could have eternal life and freedom. Let's become lavish and generous in all our ways!
In this Father's Day message, Phil discusses what it means to be activated by the Father's love in such a way that we are deeply awakened to our sonship identity and our divine destiny. Experiencing the Father's love switches something on inside us and literally activated us on the inside. An activated heart is an awakened heart: a heart that has been awakened by our Father's love to a state of passion and engagement. All this flows out of encountering the loving heart of our Heavenly Father.
God desires for all nations to know Him and declare his praise. Through the person and work of Christ, God has made it possible for all peoples to experience his love and grace. The mission of extending this good news and teaching others what it means to follow Jesus has been entrusted to the Church. God has transformed us by the Spirit to be a people dedicated to missional discipleship among our neighbors and the nations. Colossians 4:2-6CC: Biblical Community
In our new series, we dive into messages and conversations on how to be a missional community. For us to grow and prosper, both individually and corporately, God wants to resource us with His Kingdom economy. Many people have come to believe that it will all happen supernaturally, and God will foot the bill for revival. That is true on one level, but on another level, we are instructed to employ money to grow the Kingdom through entrepreneurial means and through Kingdom wealth. God has an economy, and we get in on it by participating in His strategies for Kingdom wealth! In the scriptures, we see 4 key principles to step into the Kingdom's economy and financial blessings! Stand firm in a good God who provides for what He orders. And who desires to give us the desires of our hearts to see the Kingdom grow. Immerse yourself in Biblical truth and proclaim His goodness. Give, and it shall be given. The 2nd principle is the principle of giving out of our income regardless of what has come in! We covered 5 ways to give: tithe to a local church you belong to, give to leaders who sow into you (Terumah), give random gifts, bless others with blessings of gifts, and lastly, invest in Kingdom projects. The third principle is that God will bless your plans if you bless His. He is passionate about His Kingdom, so do whatever you must to grow the Kingdom. The last principle is to use what you have in your hand and make as much as you can to become a blessing in this life! Start businesses and prosper! Leave a legacy for the next generation! We must repent of bad attitudes and bitter root expectancies, wrong theology and other things that are binding our minds and hearts so that we go forwards in His economy. His ways are not ours, so we must get our minds renewed and, in particular, come away from all poverty mindsets that bind our thinking. God is so good and wants to bless us so the Kingdom can increase! In Malachi, we read: “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.”
This week Phil brings a message on expanding our influence. Scriptures teach that God's kingdom is constantly expanding. “Of the increase of His government and peace, there shall be no end.” (Isaiah 9:7) Everything begins in seed form but grows and expands. Jesus told parables to teach us this principle. We are all called to be a part of the expansion of the kingdom and to be looking for opportunities to share Jesus with others, using the gifts God has placed in our lives. We live in the tension between Jesus' command to abide and to go. The deeper we abide, the more effective we will be when we go! The kingdom of God is within us and as the kingdom grows inside us, that expansion is expressed through the kingdom expanding in the earth. We are poised for great expansion so let's all take our place in God's ever expanding kingdom.
