Alexandra von Triessen, a shy yet gifted pianist, faces the pressure of cutthroat competition and her own insecurities at the prestigious International Ketterling Piano Competition. Raised by cold and distant parents, Alexandra found solace in music, channeling her deepest emotions into her art. At Ketterling, she crosses paths with Sebastian D'Antonio, a magnetic and ambitious pianist whose dazzling charisma masks the shadows of his fractured past. While Alexandra is drawn to Sebastian's charm, she is equally captivated—and haunted—by his estranged brother, Conrad, a mysterious and reclusive genius with an unearthly talent for composition. As Alexandra navigates the high-stakes world of Classical Music, she is forced to choose between playing it safe with her repertoire or taking a bold risk that could either make or break her career. Her growing connection to Sebastian complicates her focus, while Conrad's quiet intensity pulls her in another direction entirely. Just as Alexandra's career begins to ascend and Sebastian basks in newfound fame as a composer, a shocking discovery in the attic of the D'Antonio estate exposes a devastating deception—one that threatens to unravel not just their lives, but the very legacy they've built their careers upon.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

How many punches do you have on your gay card? This week Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with Matison Card (@matisoncard), a lesbian singer-songwriter, actor, and reality tv contestant on Coming Out For Love, the first US lesbian dating show. Although the show just became available for streaming this summer, it was actually recorded 2 years ago. So what has fan favorite Matison been up to since then? We dive into what Matison has been doing since filming wrapped (spoiler alert: there's a UHaul and karaoke involved!). We also talk about what it was really like behind the scenes of a queer reality dating show, what Matison learned about relationships from the experience, and where dating shows go wrong when it comes to casting and creating potential matches. It turns out you cannot just throw a bunch of sapphics in a room and expect them to bang, even if they are all astrology gays. We explore the best friends to lovers pipeline, the lesser talked about lesbian relationship benefits (being the same shoe size as your partner is severely underrated), and the bizarreness of trying to match whole adults with people whose frontal lobes have not even fully developed yet. For those of you who have not yet seen Nicole Conn's Coming Out For Love, you can check out the whole first season and get into all the juicy gay drama here.  Don't forget to follow us on the platform formerly known as Twitter: Lez Hang Out (@lezhangoutpod) and answer our Q & Gay questions at the end of every episode. Life (UN)Closeted: LGBTQ & Heterosexual Coming Out Stories & Advice for coming out of life's closets!

Lesbians just want to find love. Yes it is true, so why not give them their own reality TV show and let the fun, drama, and reality of dating life ensue. Filmmaker Nicole Conn along with model and actress Jessica-Rose Clark bring the desert life of Palm Springs to life fully in this rolicking adventure of Coming Out For Love. Think Bachelorette for Lesbians. Learn all about this ground-breaking approach to making sure Lesbians get some much needed air time about dating and mating. About Nicole, Jessica, and Coming Out For Love Prolific queer filmmaker Nicole Conn (A Perfect Ending, Elena Undone, More Beautiful For Having Been Broken), through her Nicole Conn Films Global, presents Coming Out for Love (“COFL”), a new, 16-episode dating competition premiering worldwide on February 14, 2023, across various digital streaming platforms. New episodes will air weekly. Watch the sizzle reel HERE. Conn tapped LGBTQ+ icon and activist Jessica Clark to host. An actress in such films as True Blood, Season of Love, ALIEN: Harvest, and A Perfect Ending, she is also known as co-owner of High Art Tattoo. "Jessica is made for this,” says Conn, “She's our Padma Lakshmi and Cat Deeley all rolled into one. Her imprint is so strong on this series, we immediately made her a producer.” COFL showcases sixteen queer women living together under one roof and participating in emotional and physical challenges to win weekly keys that unlock the heart of Season One's Single, influencer and activist Amber Whittington. The series prides itself on authentic representation of the queer community and does not shy away from, or edit out, hot button topics or highly volatile scenes, including sensitive racial conversations, racy sexual encounters, and not so “pc” moments. The format, competitions, and relationship interactions will appeal to all audiences, queer or straight. Queer visibility and representation are important for LGBTQ+ individuals to feel validated and helps challenge the toxic misconceptions and offensive stereotypes about the queer community. Season One Single Amber Whittington is a multi-nominee for LGBT Influencer of the Year awards and was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine as a “creator to watch” in May 2022. Whittington's YouTube channel and her “Amber's Closet” platform have been beacons of hope for many young queer women coming out. She boasts over 1.9M followers. Showrunner Nicole Conn continues, “Amber is Gandhi and Barack Obama's love child. She is the absolute strongest first lead we could have ever imagined and everyone in America will fall in love with her.” Conn is thrilled to finally have this series come to fruition, sharing, “I've always been labeled a pioneer and am proud to have the first female-loving-female reality dating competition show make Herstory in 2023. My daughter Gabrielle and I have watched The Bachelor together faithfully for years, rooting for our front-runners. I kept wishing there was a show that represented the love of two mothers she'd experienced in her own life. I've wanted to make this show for over 15 years. My business partners, Lissa Forehan, Brandon Amelotte, and I thought we'd try and have some fun with a small budget. After day one, we knew we were onto a project we'd all be damn proud of in its representation of a very diverse, multi-talented group of young queer women. THIS is the future of reality dating shows.” Co-Executive Producer Brandon Amelotte says, “Coming Out For Love gives the enormous fan base of dating competition shows another fun and engaging option. These are real women opening themselves up as they explore their issues, emotions, and sexuality. Come along for this remarkable journey, you won't be disappointed." Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) dive into Elena Undone for this Lez-ssentials episode, a recurring segment on the essential movies and TV shows in the lesbian canon. We talk about how this film fits into the lesbian media timeline. We go on to discuss the chemistry of the actors playing Peyton and Elena and the incredibly well done intimacy scenes. We’ll let the music choices and clear "The L Word" influences slide on this one, because the scenes are so well done. This movie is based on stories of real queer people, primarily the story of the writer/director Nicole Conn and her romance with Marina Rice Bader. We talk about the tropes shown (cheating, ugh), the experience of coming out later in life (like way later), and the importance of the film for the time period. It's hard to imagine that in 1992, when veteran director Nicole Conn's Claire of the Moon was released, there was not a significant market for lesbian films. Conn (whose film Elena Undone was QFest's 2010 Opening Night selections) is back again with her new sexy romance. In this bold story about the struggles for truth, love and happiness, we are introduced to Rebecca (Barbara Niven), an elegant, prim and punctilious mother to three grown children and wife of a wealthy husband she no longer shares a bed with. Rebecca has an unusual secret, which she's about to reveal to her lesbian best friends—she's never had an orgasm! Deciding that she needs a hand locating her G-Spot, her friends hook Rebecca up with Valentina (the iconic Morgan Fairchild) who manages a successful service business, catering to the sexual needs of its clients. While money can't buy her love, it can buy time. Her needs are attended to by a high-priced bisexual escort. Paris is a stunning sultry, tall brunette with come-to-bed brown eyes, played by out lesbian model and actress Jessica Clark.
