Pan Asia Metals (ASX: PAM) managing director Paul Lock joins Small Caps to discuss the signing of a new battery metals MoU with a leading South East Asian conglomerate. The agreement with a subsidiary (VinES Energy Solutions Joint Stock Company) of Vietnam powerhouse Vingroup is to run for an initial 36-month period with the organisations coming together to assess the potential development of a 20,000 to 25,000 tonnes per annum standalone lithium conversion facility. Pan Asia operates a range of lithium development projects in South East Asia and one of its tasks under the MoU will be to identify potential additional lithium concessions and lithium oxide concentrate supply agreements to feed the lithium conversion facility in Vietnam. The Vietnamese battery market is expected to record a compound annual growth rate of more than seven per cent between 2022-2027, while South East Asia is shaping as one of the world's fastest growing critical metal development destinations due to the potential for low production costs and a rapidly growing population. Welcome to Over The Influence, Series 3! We're Sharon, Freddie and Ben, three normal people who decided to give up alcohol to see how our lives would change. We're not medical experts but we are expert ex-drinkers, and our podcast brings people together who are on their own alcohol-free journeys by celebrating just how wonderful life without booze can be! In this episode we chat to Paul Lock, a fabulous artist who didn't even know he could paint until he stopped drinking! Paul gave up alcohol nearly ten years ago, and hasn't looked back since. He talks to us about his lightbulb moment - he was working in sales in London and has another terrible hangover, when his three year old daughter walked in to his bedroom absolutely full of life. Looking at her, he realised he needed to make a change - and he did it at a time when there wasn't much support out there. The most incredible part about Paul's story is that he completely changed career after going alcohol free, discovering a talent for art which he now does full time. We'd absolutely urge you to have a look at his wonderful work - his website is paullock-art.com. It's also fabulous to now have our Over The Influence community members watching the podcast as its recorded in our live studio (well, Zoom) audience! A question came in to Paul from Jen, and his answer was the answer she's been looking for to cement her sobriety. Of course, you can always get in touch with us (publicly or privately) on our socials - @alcoholfreepod on Instagram and Twitter, or search for "Over The Influence" on Facebook. We'd love to hear your story - please get in touch with us at otihq@overtheinfluence.co.uk and of course if you'd like to join our fabulous alcohol free community of likeminded people, visit our website to find out about the connection and resources we offer - www.overtheinfluence.co.uk. #alcoholfree #stopdrinking #healthandwellnessjourney #zeroalcohol #idontdrink #sobercurious #healthydrinking #alcoholfreelife #soberaf #alcoholfreeliving --- Over The Influence is produced by Ben Anderson for Sound Rebel. Welcome to 2020! To kick things off in true FMM style, I'm joined in this episode by one of the star members of the Finish More Music Community who only in the past 3 years has exploded in the deep house and NU Disco Scenes. Let's give it up for… PAUL LOCK! Paul's journey in the past three years is truly a remarkable example of what determination and grit can do. Paul started his journey into producing a brand new genre with zero industry contacts and a ton of new skills to learn. All this while securing a new job, a new house, and the arrival of baby twins! He was way busier than most of us and yet he still managed to smash it out of the park in just three years. In this episode, Paul shares his story, how to manage a busy schedule and come out on top with your music, how to quickly build connections in the industry, and also shares some ninja hacks on how to analyze and learn from your favorite artists. Check this awesome episode out! Key Takeaways: Determination and Grit: Keep showing up and get it done! The importance of having a clear end goal in mind “Stop worrying, make the music you like.” “If you know that something already works, just run with it.”Find the right balance with working with labels

In today’s conversation, you get to hear from Paul Lock. Paul used to spend the majority of his time in his head. He was constantly planning, hypothesizing, and dwelling on his thinking, believing it to be a positive and productive use of his time. Paul describes how this radically changed for him, once he saw that he was not his thinking. This was an insight that changed the rest of his life. Paul goes on to share his experiences with inner knowing, and how surrendering to these inner “nudges” can set you free. Paul Lock has always had a fascination with psychology and philosophy and, during his time in sales, came across the work of Sydney Banks. Since 2011, Paul has immersed himself in learning more about these Principles and as a result, experienced profound changes in all areas of his life. In 2014, Paul left sales and began working with individuals and businesses to help increase their overall performance, productivity and mental wellbeing. In 2015, Paul also began delivering programs to men in Prison with Beyond Recovery and also co-founded, Mind Spa. Paul picked up a paintbrush for the first time in 2012 and in 2017 rented his first art studio. Paul has since held two successful solo exhibitions with many of his paintings bought by private collectors, internationally.
August 2018 “For Those Who Stayed” Chilled Progressive House with a sprinkle of Balearic Trance. I love this one, I hope you will as well. Some context: from late June to most of July, my family went to Europe on a holiday and I stayed in wintery Melbourne. My presence here was necessary and the start of a lot of positive things, yet, I was nonetheless bittersweet and lonely. World Cup notwithstanding, (Allez les Bleus), I missed them terribly. Hence the darker and at times chilled and softer tone, interspaced with sun rays and Mediterranean rhythms and feel. A very, very current set (even the 2017 drops are from very late 2017. There is schadenfreude, emotions, sadness, hope. If all of it transpires, I have succeeded. In any case, a set I will listen to with pleasure once it settles. Check out my edits and last track mash-up. Playlist: 2018 Something Was Real (Original Mix). Eli & Fur 2018 Take it from Me (Extended Mix). In the non-soulful, deep house realm, Chicane is by far my favourite artist! Because he is STILL an artist, someone who releases, lo and behold, “artist albums”, a concept most of the others have forgotten as it is not a smart commercial move. Not sure what’s going on in his personal life but there must be sadness and milestones because he just released a very personal album, probably his best for a decade “The Place You Can’t Forget, The Place You Can’t Remember”. https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/the-place-you-cant-remember-the-place-you-cant-forget/1380873958 Do yourselves a favour and buy the album! I won’t tell you why I chose the particular tunes in this podcast as I would like you to sample the album and will probably drop most of the album tunes in the course of the remaining year. “Nirvana“might be my favourite track of the year in the progressive realm Chicaneon the net: https://www.musicglue.com/chicane/ https://www.armadamusic.com/artists/chicane https://www.facebook.com/chicanemusic/ https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/chicane-presents-sun-sets/id745185047?mt=2 Last word on Chicane, a 2018 remix of “Saltwater” was released in June by none other than Sebastien, very nice take on a pure anthem. Eli & Fur’s “Something Was Real”. Fitting track to start the set. Summarizes my mood at the time and it is an absolute beautiful track. Haunting vocal and the production work is faultless. Today Eli & Fur are my favourite producers and song writers. And yes, we are talking about two young British women showing that EDM has also had its #metoo moment! Since their debut release in 2013, Eli & Fur have been perfecting a sound built around infectious melodies with deep driving bass lines topped with their distinguished brooding vocals. Their sound has developed into something unique and has earned them respect from some of the biggest names in the industry. Eli & Fur on the net: https://www.eliandfur.com https://soundcloud.com/eliandfur https://www.facebook.com/eliandfur/ Enaya’s “Gimme your Love”: not sure who Enaya is but she sounds like a fresh Rihanna. Do miss my “Story” from Sharapov. Great progressive sounds, very much what comes out of Russia currently and I am absolutely in love with the vocalist one! Can’t find much on Sharapov but have bought a few tracks from him, Progressive, nice low impact Trance. Sharapovon the net: https://www.facebook.com/sharapovmusic/ https://soundcloud.com/sharapovmusic https://vk.com/sharapovmusic “It's Too Late” from Jay Santi. WOW! This track has everything! Production, great vocalist and such a rolling groove and piano underline! Do not know much either on Jay Santi. He is Dutch and is always good for a real floor banger, no matter if it's funky or techy. Very cool producers and looking at my hard drive, just realized I have more than 20 tracks of his! Pray for More’s“Musical Freedom”. Do yourself a favour and check the track. Not only will you recognize what immense house classics it is the remix of (won’t spoil it for you), but you will be ON YOUR FEET and humming the tune in no time. Pray for Morerealm ranges from from funky, pumpin’ and jackin’ House to techy Disco vibes, ending up with percussive Tribal Grooves… The whole House package… Pray for More is the brainchild of Austrian born and raised DJ, Producer, Label Owner and Club Promoter, Roland Bartha. He’s not a newcomer to this scene, having more than 25 years of experience behind the decks, including a 5 year Residency at one of Ibiza’s biggest and most prestigious clubs, Es Paradis Terrenal. A set by Pray for More is mostly a set of completely unreleased stuff that will destroy any floor, ranging from funky, pumpin’ and jackin’ House to techy Disco vibes, ending up with percussive Tribal Grooves… Pray for Moreon the net: https://soundcloud.com/pray-for-more https://www.facebook.com/prayformore2 With Omar Gharbi’s “Lost in Aegean” I both went to the dark side AND INTRODUCED a bit of Greek bouzouki to “House is a Journey”, well done Xtian ;). Pure House world music! London based DJ and Producer, Omar he is one of most requested DJ’s in London and on the international circuit. Demonstrating his own style in some of London’s most prestigious venues: Park Chinois, Buddha Bar London, Nozomi, Mayfair Club, Boujis, Penthouse, Tramp, Sugar Hut, Cafe Royal. Omar Gharbion the net: https://www.beatport.com/artist/omar-gharbi/603712 https://soundcloud.com/omar-gharbi More Progressive house World music with Est8’s “Emhlabeni”. Est8 seems to appear as a remixer of most Spiritchaser’s production. Always perfectly on point unsure as to whether they are one and the same or a true entity. Love the middle-eastern feel, blended in the Mediterranean feel of the set. A duo from Chichester, UK, comprising of … Richard Earnshaw and Mark "Bamo" Bamford from the South Coast of England. With the two coming from different ends of the spectrum, Bamo from the DJ side and Richard from the production side, the ultimate result was a solid understanding of music right through the process of making to playing the tracks. Richard Earnshaw is most probably my favourite living house legend producer.. Here we go!
