There will be no letup for U.K. lawmakers worn out after Britain's bruising election campaign. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to begin "before Christmas" the push to secure Parliamentary approval for his Brexit deal.Buoyed by its landslide victory in Thursday's election, Johnson's Conservative government plans to move fast to make good on his campaign mantra to "get Brexit done." That means ensuring legislation known as the Brexit withdrawal agreement bill is passed in time for the U.K. to complete its historic departure from the European Union by the current deadline of Jan. 31.Conservative Party lawmaker Rishi Sunak on Sunday told the BBC that Brexit-enabling legislation will be "back to Parliament before Christmas."The Conservatives won 365 of the 650 seats in the House of Commons. Labour took 203 seats, its worst total since 1935. With a Conservative majority of 80, the tortured wrangling that has been a hallmark of Brexit debates since Britain's 2016 referendum on its EU status should be consigned to history.But once the Brexit legislation has passed, negotiations between London and Brussels will begin on a new deal covering their economic and strategic relationship. A transition period built into Johnson's Brexit deal means that trade between Britain and the bloc will remain smooth until the end of 2020. But if no pact is ready then, the United Kingdom could still face an economically damaging departure from the EU, its main trading partner.Senior Johnson ally Michael Gove told Sky News on Sunday that much of the work has already been done on the new deal and "there are areas where the European Union's interests and the United Kingdom's interests are already closely aligned, so I am confident that we will be able not just to leave the EU on Jan. 31 but also to conclude all the details of a new relationship in short order."Yet procedures in Britain's centuries-old Parliament will stand in the way of instant gratification for Brexiteers.The first order of business when the new lawmakers take their seats Tuesday on the green leather-clad wooden benches of the House of Commons' debating chamber is electing a Speaker. Trump said in a tweet that he told Bolton last night that his services were no longer needed and that Bolton resigned this morning. He added that he will name a new National Security Advisor next week. Washington is abuzz with news that the CIA had to exfiltrate a sensitive Russian source, according to CNN because the Agency didn’t trust Donald Trump with the secret. But it turns out that the story is far more complicated. The source was actually not as well-placed as has been reported. He was under pressure from former CIA Director John Brennan to produce intelligence that he didn’t have access to. And now he’s living openly--using his true name--in suburban Virginia. Aaron Maté, a journalist with The Grayzone and The Nation and the host of Pushback with Aaron Maté, joins the show. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today that, if he wins reelection in the country’s September 17 election, he will seek to annex parts of the West Banks. The Israeli media is reporting that Netanyahu told aides that if the West Bank were to ever be annexed, it would have to be done during a Trump presidency. Meanwhile, Trump said that he will unveil his “deal of the century” for Middle East peace as soon as Israeli elections are completed. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has suffered a stinging defeat in Parliament that could lead to a general election in the UK.Opposition MPs and rebel members of his Conservative party voted for delaying Brexit beyond October 31 if he cannot agree exit terms with Brussels.The motion was passed 328 to 301 - meaning Johnson suffered a defeat in his first parliamentary vote since coming to power.One MP yelled out "Not a good start Boris" after the result was read out.Around 15 Conservative MPs said they would vote against their own government, including Winston Churchill's grandson Nicholas Soames.They all now risk expulsion from the party.They essentially passed a motion to allow a debate tomorrow on a bill to prevent a 'no deal' Brexit departure from the EU on October 31.Johnson has indicated he would go to a general election rather than risk a 'no deal' Brexit.After the result was announced, Johnson says he will table a motion to call for an election if tomorrow's delay on Brexit is passed."The leader of the opposition has been begging for an election for two years," he said."I don't want an election but if MPs vote tomorrow to compel another pointless delay to Brexit then that would be the only way to resolve this."The vote defeat comes after Johnson's Conservative government has had their majority of one wiped out during an explosive parliamentary session over the future of Brexit.The Westminster chamber erupted in a chorus of jeers yesterday as Johnson addressed the packed house in the first session since MPs returned from their summer break.Speaking 80 years on from the day Britain entered World War II, Johnson said "this country still stands then as now, for democracy, for the rule of law.""This whole house is united in defending those values."The comments were met with widespread jeers from fellow MPs, given Johnson has recently asked the Queen to prorogue parliament until October 14 and threatened Conservative MPs with deselection for opposing his Brexit strategy.Speaker John Bercow was forced to repeatedly call for order during Johnson's short speech."Order, order … I ask the house to have some regard for how proceedings are viewed … outside our chamber," he said."The Prime Minister is making a statement and that statement should be heard … he will be heard, as will every other member."
