For this very "nice" episode, we decided to take a brief diversion from our usually scheduled program to take a look at the House MD video game. Writer and game developer Chris Kopcow returns to the show for a video game that looks like if you stuck WarioWare and a visual novel in a blender and then covered the whole thing in WikiHow illustrations. Our particular experience was also narrated by someone who referred to themself as the "House of Let's Players" but this was like ten years ago so we try not to be too harsh. Enjoy this fun episode, we'll be back to our regularly scheduled program next episode!
You've got a fever (needing to kill time) and we've got the prescription: One dose of Sherlock Says with Ansel and Rachael every 2 weeks. Taken for joint pain, muscle spasms, boredom, anxiety, and having to watch more House MD. Side effects may include rude doctors, exploding penises, hallucinations, exposure to transphobia, and events surrounding children that use some demonetization words. Content warning for a person being sliced open and having a worm pulled out of their guts. Michael Chau returns for a wild episode that has a lot of great stuff to dig into but is also very hard to watch. This podcast episode, however, is quite easy to listen to. Yes, whether you want to hear about House MD, Cuphead, or circumcision, this is the episode for you! It's packed with more fun than a worm in an intestine. What does that metaphor mean? I guess you'll have to listen to find out!

Get your canes and Vicodin ready, kids! Big Content Warning for this one! House has a woman who was sexually assaulted and then also it turns out she's Christian so they have like a college freshman philosophy argument. This is a good House of House episode about one of the worst House MD episodes. Wishing someone would mention the mostly forgotten sitcom "Yes Dear" and celebrate the time it got a theme song? This is the show you've been waiting for!

Hey, you lovely people! We recorded this a couple weeks ago, but it's a ride, man! We talk about some series subjects, Natalie flying for the first time in years and quizzes Michael on the wonderful show House, MD, and much more!
We're back, baby! SAG got a deal so we're promoting the hell out of House MD, now available on Hulu as well as Amazon Prime. It's another episode dealing with a fat person, but it's handled a whole lot better even if Chase is still Hitler to him. We do briefly get into the Holmes story we promised to cover but who cares?! House is back! And he's in trouble with the law! Wilson might betray him?! It's a top tier ep and this is a top tier podcast ep about it, listen now!

Even if you haven't watched the TV show House MD, you're probably familiar with the phrase “it's never lupus”. But have you stopped to consider why it's never lupus? Or why lupus is so often suspected in the first case? Well, dear listeners, this episode aims to get at the heart of those questions, which is easier said than done. Like many other autoimmune diseases, lupus erythematosus continues to baffle, but we know a lot more now than we used to. In this episode, we take you through that knowledge as best we can and then trace the steps of how we came to first recognize, then describe, and then treat lupus, a journey that takes us through how we learned about autoimmunity in the first place. If you've ever been curious about how lupus got its name (wolf bite, anyone?) or what the pregnancy compensation hypothesis could mean for this and other autoimmune diseases, then this is the episode for you.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW HERE: https://go.doctormikemedia.com/youtube/KalPennFull Buy Kal's book here: https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/You-Cant-Be-Serious/Kal-Penn/9781982171391 Kal Penn has one of the strangest resumes in Hollywood. You most likely remember Kal as half of the stoner comedy duo “Harold and Kumar”, or if you've watched a lot of medical dramas like I have you may have enjoyed his 2 season arc on House MD where he lit a patient on fire instead of doing chest compressions. But if your name is “Barack Obama” (hey Prez, check your DMs, come on the show?) you may instead remember Kal as a full time staff member at the White House. Huh? President Obama hired the White Castle guy, after he was already famous? That's right. Your tax dollars paid his salary for years as a full time staff member of the White House Office of Public Engagement. Turns out the roller coaster ride of Kal's life didn't end with him sitting at the movie premiere for Van Wilder, next to his strict Indian immigrant parents, watching his oiled body slide off a naked woman while playing a character literally named “Taj Mahal” (yikes). In Kal's new book, You Can't Be Serious, he not only details some of the stunning racism he's faced throughout his 20+ years in Hollywood, but also stories of those late nights in Washington DC working alongside President Obama navigating some of America's most highly controversial political issues, such as the hurdles they had to clear to remove the army's “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” policy, which barred openly queer people from serving in the armed forces. I asked Kal about all of these big picture stories, as well as some smaller ones, like how it's possible he walks around every day with a tattoo on his left arm that has a typo. Today, the guys discuss the life and career of Ashton Kutcher (1:07). They discuss his early life, his family and how he became a model and later an actor. They discuss his early career hits, including ‘That 70's Show' and ‘Punk'd'. They discuss his marriages to Demi Moore and Mila Kunis and the fact that his girlfriend he was dating in 2001 was horrifically murdered by a serial killer. They discuss his business and investing career and how he is in some way more successful in the ventures as opposed to in acting. They also discuss his controversial ad for “Popchips” involving an Indian accent and brownface. They then discuss how Ashton Kutcher disclosed on an episode of ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge” that he suffers from a rare form of vasculitis which caused problems with his vision, imbalance and equilibrium (16:49). Ali challenges Asif to do ‘House MD'- style detective work to try and figure out exactly what type of vasculitis Ashton had. Asif speculates that Ashton may have had a rare type of brain vasculitis called ‘Central Nervous System Vasculitis (or Angiitis)'. He then briefly discussed how it is also possible he may have had two other even rarer diseases: Susac's Syndrome and CLIPPERS (chronic lymphocytic inflammation with pontine perivascular enhancement responsive to steroids). Welcome back, Cuddy Buddies, to the second season of House MD! Yes, we've finally made it and we're joined by Dave Grom of the "In The Mix" podcast to discuss a wild episode. It's got everything! Ethical dilemmas, LL Cool J doing a pretty good job, Cameron being a pathological narcissist, and somehow Chase gets to be the most reasonable member of the team this week?! Plus we learn about gummer lore, goof on the Google fancy man who fell in love with a chatbot, and have more spoofs and goofs than you can imagine. It's the perfect podcast episode to request as the last meal for your ears if you're on death row, assuming the Supreme Court hasn't already ruled the concept of last meals is too "woke" or whatever SORRY TO GET POLITICAL JUST LISTEN PLEASE!

You know when you watch Grey's Anatomy, House MD, MASH or the Good Doctor and something bizarre that you never heard of happens and miraculously it's solved and the doctor just goes back to her shift? If you think that doesn't really happen you haven't listened to this episode where Dr. Arjun Iyer does stuff like this in the ER on a regular basis! Some podcasters might be deterred to cover one of the most popular medical dramas of all time - that also kind of counts as a Holmes adaptations - considering we haven't either really watched any of it. Not us though. Today's case file covers House M.D., and we've invited Twitter's greatest House fan, Sara Ghaleb, to give us a hand. Sara recommended a few key episodes that she thinks summarize how House is a Holmes adaptation - and so armed with that very limited knowledge, we sat down to talk about it. Tune in for the highs, lows, and accidental murders in this long-running medical drama, the joys of seeing the Holmes & Watson friendship in many different formats, and the inherent Victorian-ness of serialized television. This episode does contain some language, as well as spoilers for the show. Sara Ghaleb is a writer and comedian in Los Angeles, California. She writes sketch comedy, and her work has appeared in Paste Magazine, Vox, and Them. Sara is a writer and co-creator of the scripted mystery podcast Arden, and also co-hosts the non-fiction history-comedy podcast Historical Hookups. Find her on Twitter!
We hope you like House MD because we reference that show at least five times in this episode! Hawkeye goes through a bit of an identity crisis when his patient isn't recovering despite his best efforts. Is Hawkeye's breakdown because he's a good doctor, wanting the best for his patients, or is it all in service of his ego? Listen to find out! This one leans hard into classic medical drama! On this week's episode, Scrubs takes on House MD. In the real world, we're getting excited about our first red carpet experience for Cheaper by the Dozen! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Eh! We're watching all of House MD ova he-ah! The hilarious Rachel Jane Andelman joined us to discuss the gabagooliest House episode yet. What if you were a mobster and your brother was sick and the only way to save him was to accept that he's gay? Marone, that's a spicy meatball! While the House episode we're discussing was little weighed down with a lot of Vogler stuff and tea, drama, there was more than enough good stuff to pack a podcast episode fuller than your tummy after eating three servings of momma's manicotti. We speculate about the possibilities of a spin-off featuring a gay mafia pig man, do a bunch of Australian dirty talk, discuss the old and new New Amsterdams, and much more more! Now listen to the episode before I break-a you-a face-a!
Given that I now have him back for this episode I thought it would be best to finish the study of House MD in terms of his relevance towards the world we live in and how to better tackle the problems we face. How far does this resonate with you in terms of being above the nitty gritty of entanglement and the problems that biases can create. Would the world not be better off if we just said what we were thinking, stop bitching, had a conversation about it and then did several Vicodin?.....Ok maybe not the last bit.Dont forget, Everybody still Lies! And, its still never Lupus!ACT 3 IS OUT NOW! in this episode episode I am not only flying solo (thanks adam) but we are also taking a look at the deeper content of House MD and some of the points that we can take away for what we do as readers of people and solving of problems. Lets put aside some of the more outlandish things that he does, but look at the content. Get rid of as much of the entanglement from the irrelevances as possible.Dont forget, Everybody Lies! And, its never Lupus!ACT 3 IS OUT NOW! This weeks movie is a little piece of history: the film set that Adam and Leighton met on. That's right folks, we're talking about the Oranges! A movie where House MD kisses Blair Waldorf and Maeby from Arrested Development is mad about it. Also Allison Janney is there. Other Talking Points Include: Wes Craven Protest, Adam Brody Motivation, Sorry to the Tobiases of the World, Allison Janney: Queen of Comedy Follow us on Twitter @BrodyQuestPod!
Hey Adele (Wiebke, not the singer — common mistake), can I interview you for my spacecast? This week, a lonesome Ellie is joined by the wonderful Adele Wiebke to talk about Midnight Gospel, a very trippy, pretty hippy, animated podcast on Netflix. We discuss love & loss, a meditation tip that may actually help someone who hypothetically sucks at meditation (cough, cough, Ellie), and jumping mediums. Shoutouts to: Lana Del Rey, House MD, Mothers (especially Karen & Kathy).Follow Adele on Instagram! @adelewiebsAnd follow us! Insta: @werehavinganepisodeTwitter: @WereHavingAnEp
