A 20 year old fraternity pledge died as a result of his initiation ritual. Who is responsible for this tragic accident? Is it the fraternity brothers who put the bottle of whiskey in his hand and then left him? Or is it the University that had turned a blind eye to hazing for years? Listen in as Savannah details the events that led to his death, the trials and who she believes is responsible while Elysia awkwardly discusses why she steered clear of the sorority/fraternity life.    Let us know who you think is responsible on Instagram and Facebook!   Sources: https://iamstonefoltz.com/home https://www.scribd.com/document/507528426/Complaint-filed-against-fraternity-men-accused-in-connection-with-death-of-Stone-Foltz# https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Stone_Foltz https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/courts/2022/08/18/stone-foltz-hazing-death-final-bgsu-fraternity-brothers-sentenced/65408996007/ https://interactive.wtol.com/pdfs/BGSU-Complaint-with-hyperlinks-filed-6-23-22.pdf https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/19/us/ohio-fraternity-sentencing-hazing-death/index.html https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/28/us/ohio-fraternity-members-hazing-death-acquittal/index.html   Music By: https://www.fesliyanstudios.com/royalty-free-music/download/shady-business/2181

After the loss of their sons Collin and Stone the mothers worked together to keep their promises by pushing lawmakers to pass an anti-hazing law. The new law, Collin's Law, makes criminal punishments more severe for those who haze and expands the definition of hazing in Ohio to include the forced consumption of drugs and alcohol. The CDC has issued new guidelines for those who are fully vaccinated. The good news is that those people can now visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or social distancing. And if they are exposed to the virus, there's no need to quarantine or get tested if they show no symptoms. Lev Facher, Washington correspondent at STAT News, joins us for the new rules for those that have gotten their vaccine. Next, we are seeing a rise in border crossings at the southern border. Some have blamed the policies from the Biden administration as the reason for encouraging the surge, but that is only a small part. There have been hurricanes in Honduras that have left people homeless, food shortages in Central America, and the pandemic has also been pushing people to the U.S. Stef Kight, immigration reporter at Axios, joins us for why migrants are fleeing their homes once again. Finally, another tragic story of fraternity hazing gone wrong. 20 year-old Stone Foltz from Bowling Green State University has died after being given “copious amounts of alcohol” as a frat party. His family has decided to donate his organs. The fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha, has been stripped of its status as a student organization and an investigation is underway. Bethany Bruner, reporter at The Columbus Dispatch, joins us for more.
