The Department of Education has signaled plans to expand the Supreme Court's affirmative action ban beyond admissions, which could target race-based student organizations. Black fraternities and sororities have historically provided leadership, support, and community service in response to systemic exclusion. In 2018, Delta Phi Lambda selected osteoporosis awareness as their national philanthropy focus, partnering with American Bone Health, which later merged into the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF). This partnership has provided valuable educational resources, helping members become peer educators who inform their communities about bone health.
