This episode was pre-recorded, but we wanted to make a point of acknowledging the horrific school shooting that took place in Uvalde, Texas on May 24th. We will be sure to verbalize this in our next recorded episode. The murder of these innocent lives is above and beyond a tragedy and has become way too commonplace in our society. Thoughts and prayers are not enough right now for the families and the lives of the children and educators that were lost— but we are sending our deepest condolences and hopes of active change. 1999 was when a greater action should've started and reverberated in 2012, among countless other times. By now this should be more preventable. Never again should a child lose their life like this. Never again should anyone fear getting through a school day or dropping their child off at school. TRIGGER WARNING: Case contains graphic details and mention of rape. This case took place in Austin, Texas on December 6, 1991. A little before midnight, a fire was reported at a frozen yogurt shop called I Can't Believe It's Yogurt! … but it wasn't just a fire when first responders arrived at the scene. Four teens had been found murdered and with that came multiple eyewitness accounts, trials, and lotsss of questions. Some of which still remain unanswered decades later. If you have any information about the Yogurt Shop Murders: * Call Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS OR * Austin Police Department Homicide tip line at 512-477-3588 --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/crime-cults-and-coffee/support

Wedding favors used to be pretty cheesy, but they’ve improved in recent years. Couples realize that giving guests something consumable is usually the best bet, but it’s possible to give them something cool that’s a forever present if you think about what people might actually want to have in their homes. that we here at From Ring to Veil are not fond of the wedding favor unless it is something unique or practical. We feel that as a guest a favor and/or a gift is not necessary. Guests are there to enjoy and share in the wedding celebrations. BUT if you feel as though you need or want to give a favor please do. But before you hand out the bubble or jar of jelly, do a little research and go with something unique that isn't going to be left or thrown away. We have some wedding favor do's and don'ts for you to consider. Do Put a bit of yourself into the favor. Example: You or your groom are an artist, make something that is reflective of you so that it is personal Make sure there is a purpose or meaning behind it. I’m thrilled to have Polly Liu on the show today. Polly’s wedding favor store, Beau-Coup.com, started in her own bedroom and has since ballooned to an 8 figure business. In fact, Beau-Coup was the inspiration for my own online store. Early on, I modeled our shop just like hers and I tracked and studied her every move. Don’t be fooled by Polly’s modesty on the podcast. She’s a super star and there’s a lot to be learned if you want to dominate in ecommerce like she has.
