Kelsey Marie and Brynne Nicole
The Crime, Cults & Coffee podcast is an absolute gem in the world of true crime and paranormal podcasts. From the very first episode, I was hooked by the captivating storytelling and genuine passion of the hosts, Kelsey and Brynne. Their chemistry is palpable, making it feel like you're sitting with them in your living room, sharing scary stories with friends.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is their unique format that combines coffee reviews with true crime and paranormal topics. It's such a refreshing twist that sets them apart from other podcasts in the genre. Not only do you get to learn about different coffee companies, but you also dive deep into fascinating cases and spooky mysteries. It's like getting two awesome podcasts rolled into one.
Another strong aspect of this podcast is the extensive research that goes into each episode. Kelsey and Brynne clearly put a lot of time and effort into uncovering lesser-known cases that aren't commonly seen in mainstream media. They provide thorough details and present the information in a way that keeps you engaged from start to finish. Their passion for these stories shines through, as they not only share the facts but also show empathy for the victims involved, humanizing their experiences.
However, no podcast is without its flaws, and The Crimes, Cults & Coffee has a few minor ones that are worth mentioning. Sometimes, while discussing dark and disturbing topics, there can be a fine line between humor and sensitivity. Although Kelsey and Brynne do a great job adding humor to their storytelling, there have been a few instances where it felt slightly out of place given the seriousness of the subject matter. However, this doesn't happen frequently enough to significantly impact my enjoyment of the podcast.
In conclusion, The Crime, Cults & Coffee podcast is a must-listen for true crime enthusiasts who are also intrigued by paranormal stories. Kelsey and Brynne's storytelling skills are top-notch, and their ability to blend coffee reviews with dark and mysterious tales is truly impressive. Despite a few minor hiccups, this podcast continues to improve with each new episode, delivering captivating content that keeps you coming back for more. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an engaging and entertaining true crime experience.

Although Roswell is known for lighting the match with UFO sightings, it may not have actually been the first one (contrary to what we've believed for generations). In this episode, tune in as CCC covers the Trinity UFO case and all that comes with it. Taking place in 1945 New Mexico, it would have actually pre-dated Roswell by 2 years… if it in fact happened. This story is shrouded by conspiracy theories, as well as the most prominent question— is it a hoax?
Listen in to this month's episode, as Joan (from Late Night Legends podcast) is BACK as a guest cohost and taking over CCC! Not only did she pick the case, but she's covering it as well. So sit back & listen in, as she delves into the story of Greenbrier Ghost. It involves murder, mayhem, misogyny, and the magic of a mother's intuition... or mediumship! We had a lot to process with this one. Let us know what YOU think.

Bare with me, as this week's episode is a RE-RELEASE! TRIGGER WARNING: This case includes gruesome crime scene details. What do you get when you combine fire, murder, money, and a bat-shit crazy human with a pig farm? This. Episode. Let's take you back to the early 1900's... when searching for a husband in the personal ads was apparently a thing (at least in this story anyway), and people were going missing left and right across the U.S. If you've never heard of the crimes committed by Belle Gunness-- you're going to want to give this week's episode a listen. TRIGGER WARNING: Includes graphic detail, rape, and murder. Peter Morin aka The Chameleon spent decades committing crimes... and 12 years (that we know of) taking the lives of others. Manipulative, cunning, and elusive -- he found ways to ensnare those around him, with no regards to human life. Listen in to hear not his story... but the story of the lives that were taken and/or affected by Morin, as well as his eventual capture. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/crime-cults-and-coffee/support

This week's episode is a RE-RELEASE because this week turned out to be very unpredictable and LOUD NOISES! This episode dives into the drug rehab turned cult. Synanon began in the late 50's-early 60's, and grew to be a nightmare for most that attended. From shaved heads, to attack therapy, to a fleet of 400 motorcycles and an airstrip, Synanon became very well known to California residents. But no cult starts out as a “cult”! When she disappeared in Chicago in 2003- the worst was assumed by her family, but her case was sadly not taken seriously. That was until weeks later, when nothing but foul play could be suspected. Nancie is one of the many black women who have met a tragic end, only to have her story bypassed in the media.
