BEST OF compilation of WHITE VAN KARL, one of the most memorable features of The Ricky Gervais Show's run on XFM in the early 2000s. Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais ask their "producer," Karl Pilkington, the questions that the Sun asks someone else in their White Van Man section, where a member of the public is asked their opinions on the week's big political and social hot potatoes. Essentially, the Sun's White Van Man provides the "average Joe" perspective on the week's big stories. Similarly, WHITE VAN KARL provides an avenue to explore Karl's unique perspective on political issues and current events. Some of the greatest moments on the XFM show; e.g., MAN MOTH, HORSE IN THE HOUSE, etc., came out of this feature. This BEST OF compilation is based on the 2-part compilation of WHITE VAN KARL released previously on the channel.
Back On The Ball now visual and audio. This week we finally get some decent weather and look at VAR and rule changes down the years. Watch until the end when Fitz gets some culinary recipes from The Black Country. Including special guests….. Pablo The Cat, Steven Seagull, and The White Van Man.

In Which Murderer's Episode 9 Season 5 the girls talk about White Van Man Murders. Holly starts you off with the case of driver James Martin before Mel goes into the tragic story of Matthew Tvrdon.Shoutout to Saraid for the theme suggestion, even though it wasn't really what you suggested and more what we decided….but you got us there so…..SHOUTOUT. You will learn a great many things about white vans and lizards, Holly is disappointed there is no archery planned at Mel's wedding, the country of Wales is likely highly offended by the girls and the end of the episode is the usual car crash I'm sure you've come to know and love. Production, recording and post production completed by Holly who has asked Consulting Producer Craig to go on a sightseeing trip to Wales next week. Holly edited this week. All complaints should be sent directly to Mel while Consulting Producer Craig remains blissfully unaware that Holly has nicknamed her basement Wales and will be holding him there until the editing is done for 2022. Big thank you to all our listeners for subscribing, leaving fantastic reviews and sending in great theme suggestions. www.whichmurderer.comWARNING - Explicit language, content and themes (plus whatever else will cover us legally). With characteristically good timing, Alan needed to make a trip to Scotland inter-lockdown to collect more stuff than would ever fit in a Yaris. This seemed like a good opportunity to play at “White Van Man” to remind ourselves just how competent the current generation of mid-sized vans is and to see just how much you can fit into a Mercedes-Benz Vito.

In Episode 66 of the Weird Tales Radio Show: We take a look at Whitsuntide folklore and ask how did Old Mother Shipton get involved? And we also investigate the sale of religious relics today - did you know your can bid for a vial of the blood of Jesus Christ or a piece of the Virgin Mary’s vest on the internet right now? We have a truth is stranger than fiction tale worthy of M.R. James from 17th century France where a murder was condemned to death on the strength of the wrong skeleton. Finally we revisit the perennial urban myth of the White Van Man. This week’s links: Urban Fantasist: https://www.urbanfantasist.com https://www.russianstore.com
The qualities of a successful entrepreneur are often hard to define and quantify, especially within the technology sector. Dave Dadds undoubtedly has those qualities. He spoke exclusively to UC Today about his industry history and how he managed to move from being a BT engineer in the 1980s to now being CEO of various successful technology businesses. Founder of VanillaIP and Uboss, Dave was one of the first to recognise the potential value in cloud communications and capitalise on this by providing great services to customers.

Steve hears from Lauren Fruen, the graduate trainee who secured the story for the Sun, and editor David Dinsmore about what this story, and the latest expose of David Mellor's exchange with a cab driver, tell us about the newspaper's wider strategy.
