Her smile lit up the room. The pain and purpose behind her eyes pulled me in like a magnet. I met Sherma Chambers in Miami who also attended Swim Week to speak on a panel about our mission to give back to our communities and what lead us to do so. Sherma spoke first and in a very brief introduction I learned of the tragic, senseless murder of her 21 year old son, Tyler less than a year ago. Sherma has united forces with her family and community to share a message and mission to the youth. Her message isn't one of revenge or hate. Instead she is fueled by the fierce love of a Mother to help the children see what choices and decisions can do for their own lives and the lives of all of those around them. She shares a message of compassion and hope. We all get to choose our path in life. Love Live King Kobe - a community based foundation taking initiative to provide community healing. On a personal note, Pamela today weighs less than the amount of weight that she lost ... over 160 lbs. Yet, her platform is not one of weight loss, but rather what was gained in the process of shedding limiting beliefs. A business, as an example, is also reflective of the core energy of one's self. She specializes in the transition from employee mindset to that of an entrepreneur. Much of her professional career was spent with the Macy*s organization in the cosmetic and fragrance industry. Having reached a senior level management, she celebrated the world of entrepreneurship by opening a special events company.
