In this conversation, Chanda delves into the multifaceted nature of beauty and luxury, exploring its historical roots, societal implications, and the modern economic landscape. The discussion highlights how beauty standards have evolved over time, the privilege associated with them, and the need for inclusivity in the beauty industry. Chanda emphasizes the importance of self-care and personal expression while challenging listeners to reflect on their own relationships with beauty and luxury.
This is a hard argument to make as I do try to advocate to the betterment of the world. But if you bear with me I just want to place the argument that without divine intervention or societal intervention people don't change. Theres this inherent nature we all have, that to some capacity we have to change, we have to change, but there isn't much room to change nature. The concept that people fundamentally do not change over time is a view supported by the idea that core personality traits and behaviors are deeply ingrained and resistant to alteration. Despite life's experiences and external influences, there are compelling reasons to believe that individuals remain fundamentally the same.
Tale as old as time, beaty and the beast or shall we say Belle et la Bête. Beauty and the beast is a fascinating story that tackles, sabotage, arranged marriage, jealousy revenge and the idolization, oh you don't remember any of this from the Disney version, of course you don't I'm talking about the first adaptation by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont My main thought is the topic of true love is mistaken for a whirlwind of fluffy feelings but I think this story shows that love is logical, love is patient and love is sacrificial.
Next time you sit down to a Thanksgiving feast, remember the incredible story of the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag. It's a tale of survival, cooperation, and the spirit of gratitude that continues to inspire us today. Remember Sara Hale who fought for this to be a holiday so we can stop life for a second and be grateful. And remember one thing you can be grateful for is that you are seen and you are loved
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the constant news cycle, the pressure to achieve, or the general anxieties of daily life? If so, you're not alone. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to lose sight of what truly matters and get swept away by negativity. That's where Stoicism comes in. This ancient philosophy, founded in Greece around 300 BC, offers a practical framework for living a virtuous and fulfilling life.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde centers upon a conception of humanity as dual in nature,we confront the theory of a dual human nature explicitly only after having witnessed all of the events of the novel, including Hyde's crimes and his ultimate eclipsing of Jekyll. This episode will discuss our need to accept the duality of human nature as its central to being self aware.
In order to understand ourselves we need to put in a lot of hard work. A good way is to find out what other people see when they see us. Perception needs to be multifaceted .

As all things should go in sequence I thought I would talk about love bombing. I hinted at it in the last episode but I decided to go into it. You see the toxic side of it really well in Frozen and we end up with an exciting conversation. Love bombing is an emotional manipulation technique. It's not great. You basically love someone so much they are unable to see your more toxic traits. You are emotionally gaslit usually early in a relationship so you can manipulate them later. While an overflow of love sounds idyllic, this behavior can be a huge red flag as it is a pattern that can be associated with underlying abuse and a potentially toxic relationship. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

In a world begging to be more tolerant we have gone to far extremes to make sure no one is offended. But we will offend people, constantly so why soften words or hold back distinct meanings. We will be touching on the Euphemism treadmill and the evolution of language.

It's always dangerous to the collective group when you are ready to pursue individual gains at the expense of the collective. The "pick-me" person seeks acceptance from another group and often their individual actions are used to demonize the collective. I am taking on the challenge of discussing the bizarre and possibly the more complicated conversation of the "pick-me" trope.
This is a grinds my gears episode, for the treatment of Castor Semenya. There are so many harmful stereotypes perpetrated against Black women and Black sexuality. I face them all the time I live in constant fear of voicing rage for example as I know that there's rage stereotypes. Often black women are treated with less gentleness for the assumption of strength. In this episode we see how terribly a beautiful woman was treated and why it was wrong.

Often the why behind our mannerisms is lost on us as a modern culture. We take things that seem cute and apply them to our lifestyles without a moments thought to their origin. I decided to continue my kindness motif. I asked what is kindness and use more of a scientific basis . I consider circumstances as a reason for the genetic or innate idea of human kindness.
