Avant d'entrer dans le vif du sujet, nous tenons à vous informer que cet épisode contient des triggers warnings (inceste, violence sexuelle, violence mentale et physique) faites attention et prenez soin de vous. Les sorcières de Mayfair Après avoir adapté avec brio Entretien avec un vampire, le Immortal Universe s'attaque cette fois aux Sorcières de Mayfair, une trilogie écrite par Anne Rice en 1990. Le livre conte l'histoire de Rowan, une jeune femme qui découvre l'histoire maudite de la famille qui l'a rejetée toute sa vie. Un démon semble conduire les femmes du clan, des sorcières, à la folie et à la mort. Cette trilogie, malgré un premier tome prometteur, sombre rapidement vers une ambiance dérangeante et très toxique. Les livres ne sont pas à mettre entre toutes les mains. Adapter le dérangeant La série dont la première saison est sortie en 2023 tente d'adoucir un peu le propos bien qu'elle ne puisse pas échapper aux histoires d'inceste et de violence faites sur les femmes. Elle tente également de relier cette histoire à l'actualité, notamment au travers des Incels. Malheureusement, Les Sorcières de Mayfair perdent rapidement son public avec des personnages et des intrigues manquant de logique. Avez-vous aimé cette adaptation ?
