It's all about the Predator, monster sci-fi icon, and his efforts to purchase and install a new shed to put all his blood in. He goes to Home Depot, he tries building one himself after watching YouTube videos, but all the sheds leak blood out, ruining the Predator's begonias. None of that is true. But there really is a Predator: Bloodshed series, Jordan is behind it, and it's quite entertaining, as is Jordan. After the obviousness that was all our positive reviews of 1987's original Predator film, we knew that starting this week there would be some chinks in the title character's armor. Predator 2 was released around Thanksgiving in 1990 and even with Jim and John Thomas returning to pen the script, to say it wasn't received nearly as well would be an understatement. This may have to do with changing the director from well renowned action director John McTiernan to Aussie Stephen Hopkins (A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 The Dream Child). But the big change, of course, was changing out muscle bound full of machismo Ah-nold Schwarzenegger to Lethal Weapon's ‘I'm too old for this shit' Danny Glover. Listen to the latest Three Men and a Retrospective Podcast to hear Adam and Garrett recount their theatrical experiences of seeing the film (as Matt laughs at the fact it came out three years before he was born), and of course give their expectations and overall thoughts as they revisit Predator 2 for this long form review. Also, keep in mind that the co-hosts already reviewed the Alien Vs Predator films in the lead up to 2022's Prey (check for those reviews in the archives), so next week's review will be 2010's Predators!

This week on End Credits we're heading back to space! Leaving the bounds of Earth behind, we go to the stars looking for old friends and familiar faces. First, we will stop by Pandora, setting for James Cameron's very successful sci-fi series Avatar, and then we will head to Genna where the wildest game in the galaxy is waiting for a hunter in Predator: Badlands. This Wednesday, November 12, at 3 pm, Adam A. Donaldson and Peter Salmon will discuss: Back to Pandora: Avatar Revisited. In a few weeks, Avatar: Fire and Ash will be released in theatres everywhere, and unless something really weird happens, it will easily skate to more than a billion dollars at the box office. But Avatar is a rare feat in more ways that one, a massively successful, original, sci-fi franchise that has no broader cultural footprint. So to try and understand the phenomenon we will revisit Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water. REVIEW: Predator: Badlands (2025). In space, no franchise is ever really over and guess who's back again? Predator: Badlands is the eighth film in the series (if you count the Alien Vs Predator films), and the second one from Dan Trachtenberg, director of 2022's Prey, but it's the first to feature a Predator, or Yautja as they're technically known, as the lead heroic character. On the deadliest planet in the universe our Predator hero will test his mantle with an android sidekick played by Elle Fanning, but is Badlands a movie worth turning into a trophy? The series is said to focus on Olsen and other Daily Planet reporters, (though Lois Lane and Clark Kent were conspicuously excluded,) as he tackles cases involving superpowered villains, with Season One featuring Flash rogue Gorilla Grodd as a big bad. Predator Badlands was the apex, ahem, predator at the box office last weekend debuting to $40 million domestically and doubling the haul internationally at $80 million worldwide. The film outperformed expectations, representing a much-needed shot of adrenaline in what has been a lethargic Fall box office, while also putting up bests for the franchise; beating out 2004's Alien Vs Predator and 2018's The Predator in the domestic and global arenas, respectively.Blue Beetle and Cobra Kai star Xolo Maridueña has been cast in season 3 of Netflix's One Piece and will play the character Portgas D. Ace.Jennifer Lawrence recently revealed that she and Emma Stone are developing a movie about the iconic Muppet Miss Piggy with Oh, Mary! writer and Tony winner Cole Escola penning the script, marking the character's first solo outing siynce Jim Henson debuted her on The Muppet Show in 1976.Netflix and Sony have finalized a deal for another “KPop Demon Hunters” movie, with plans to release the animated musical sequel in 2029.Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Michael Jackson biopic 'Michael' starring Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of the late pop icon. The film from director Antoine Fuqua is set to hit theaters on April 24, 2026, after its release was delayed several times.Prime Video announced that season two of The Night Manager, starring Tom Hiddleston, will premiere on January 11. Rockstar Games also announced that they would be delaying Grand Theft Auto 6 once again, this time from May 2026 to November 2026 as well. Ryan Reynolds and Amazon MGM have teamed up to develop a remake of Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, a 1974 action comedy that starred Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges. Reynolds is eyeing to star in the adaptation and is also collaborating on the script with writers Enzo Mileti and Scott Wilson, a writing team who worked on season four of comedic crime show Fargo. Shane Reid, who edited Reynolds' Deadpool & Wolverine, will make his directorial debut with the project. 

After one sequel in 1990 and two lackluster Alien VS Predator movies Predators took the franchise back to its roots in 2010. We get the return of a rag tag group of lunatics, a jungle setting, a muddy showdown but also some additional elements that elevate this movie beyond what had been done in previous sequels. It's just a shame we never got an actual follow up to what is considered by many to be a movie that I, Mr Sunday Movies, like very much.
