Even though we are adults, we still need advice and guidance from our parents. In today’s bonus episode of NAKED, Catt calls her mother Linda Rendleman. In this conversation the two connect on important issues, but also discuss what’s hard to talk about for most of us. Race relations. Aging. Vanity. Menopause. And even incontinence. This episode is made possible by our friends at Depend - www.depend.com.
This week, Eve Rodsky - author of domestic partnership bible, Fair Play - joins Catt in her bedroom for a pre-quarantine deep dive into sharing the workload at home. Before getting into the details of her game-changing book, Eve opens up about her early life -- from being raised by a single mom in the Lower East Side of New York, to graduating from Harvard with a law degree and moving on to build an incredibly successful legal career. But even with all these wins in her professional life, Eve's home dynamic was flailing. She realized there needed to be a dramatic change if her marriage was going to survive. So, after a life-changing "blueberry moment" (don't worry, she explains), she crowd-sourced hundreds of men and women about their division of labor and went to work building a roadmap for revival. Also in this episode, Catt shares some insight on her Vanity Fair essay about related issues (if you haven't read it yet, go check it out)! https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2018/04/catt-sadler-mom-tax-equal-pay **This week, we want to call your attention to the work being done by The Okra Project -- an amazing organization that works to have Black Trans chefs cooking healthy, delicious meals for Black Trans folks. This week, Catt welcomes New York Times-bestselling author Glennon Doyle to her virtual bedroom. She gets extremely candid about her personal history, sharing how she grew up in a conservative town in Virginia and developed an eating disorder and alcohol addiction at a young age. Glennon also opens up about why falling in love with her now-wife -- Olympic gold medalist soccer player, Abby Wambach -- was not all sunshine and roses. Glennon's also a big proponent of embracing your feelings (we second that!), and making a concerted effort to address your privilege, do the research and be ready to listen when you come to the table as an ally for Black women. Also in this episode, Catt acknowledges how much she has to learn about racial injustice in America -- and her role in battling it. To learn more about the work Glennon Doyle is doing as an ally, check out her IG page @glennondoyle and her philanthropic work at Together Rising: https://togetherrising.org/ **This week, We want to amplify the work being done by Color of Change: https://colorofchange.org/ , an organization that leads campaigns that build real power for Black communities by challenging injustice, holding corporate and political leaders accountable, and advances solutions for a transformed world. This week, Catt welcomes the incredibly talented and overall delightful Justina Blakeney to her bedroom. One of the last NAKED interviews recorded in-person, pre-pandemic, Justina shares how she grew her interior design business from a blog, to an empire. Justina's not just a savvy entrepreneur, she's a New York Times bestselling author, artist, and a whole lot more. From a very young age, she travelled the world - living in Switzerland and Italy - and was encouraged by her parents to embrace her multi-cultural background. With a self-described "global, jungalicious style," Justina's distinct approach to design and focus on accessibility has led to multiple collaborations with major retailers, from Target to Anthropologie. Justina also shares her secret superpower (learning new languages), how she manages to stay creative while also running the nuts-and-bolts of a business, and how she's forced herself to learn the art of delegation. Also in this episode, Catt talks about her first experience traveling abroad at the age of 28 - and how it spurred her to reflect on how the U.S. relates to the rest of the world. To learn more about Justina, check out her IG @justinablakeney, her Website: http://www.justinablakeney.com/ or her design blog, Jungalow: https://www.jungalow.com/,which started it all. ***And a special note this week: We want to acknowledge and voice our support for the protests taking place across the country following the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others. All across the U.S., people are coming together to demand an end to police brutality and bring awareness to the many issues that disproportionately impact Black communities. WE CAN ALL DO BETTER, and here at team NAKED, we pledge to listen, learn and amplify Black voices. As part of this effort, we will be highlighting a different advocacy organization each week that could use your donation. We are back in Catt's bedroom this week, and this time, she's joined by Lauren Paul and Molly Thompson - founders of the nonprofit Kind Campaign that aims to end girl-on-girl bullying in our schools. The two real-life best friends share a behind-the-scenes look at how they bonded over being bullied as young girls and why they decided to channel that pain into something productive. After meeting in college, Lauren and Molly joined forces and decided to travel the country to make a documentary on the "mean girl" phenomenon, and what we can do to foster forces of kindness instead. The film grew into an international movement, and the women now work with schools across the globe through in-person assemblies (when those were allowed) and educational curriculum, to help promote inclusivity, love and acceptance among girls and teens. Lauren also shares a peek at what it's like to be married to actor Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, BoJack Horseman) and how his support has made it possible for Kind Campaign to climb to new heights. And in this episode, Catt shares a story about experiencing harassment by fellow females during her freshman year of high school - and who stepped in to stand up for her. *A note, this was taped months before the Coronavirus hit, so the interview was done in-person in Catt's home

She shares stories from real people she interviewed for her book, talks about the importance of lowering our expectations - especially in the time of Coronavirus -- and explains why we need to stop comparing ourselves to others. Also in this episode, Catt continues to share details of her own journey with perimenopause, and why taking a social media hiatus was exactly the medicine she needed at this time.
In our second release of Catt’s new bonus series, she catches up with Nina Agdal - who is currently quarantining with Christie Brinkley in New York. Can you imagine? (Nina’s boyfriend is Jack Brinkley.) Most importantly though, it’s Nina’s very first podcast - ever! She talks openly about how her personal space has become a requirement to keep her sanity, reveals that she’s basically a bomb ass cook (our words not hers) and why the trolls and tabloids actually get to her sometimes. Don’t miss another must-listen NAKED episode, this time with model, fitness guru, and all around gorgeous goofball NINA. She is good for the soul!

This week's episode is a bit of a departure from our standard interview. In this episode - recorded remotely - therapist Sheva Rajaee joins Catt in her virtual bedroom to have an honest, constructive conversation about mental health. Focusing on the overwhelming conditions of this COVID-19 lockdown, Sheva shares helpful insight on working through anxiety, how to better cope with increased stress, and why we all need to be just a little bit more forgiving of ourselves. We also learn how Sheva's own OCD diagnosis led her to start the Center for OCD and Anxiety, why she made a dramatic career shift from marketing and advertising, to psychotherapy, and what healing powers lie within our pets. Sheva also answers some listener questions like, "How do I help my spouse to understand what it is like to have anxiety?" and "What can families with younger children do to cope during this time?". And, she opens up about her hopes for change following the pandemic.

Pour that second glass of wine because we are back this week with the one and only Jennifer Love Hewitt in the bedroom! First off, if you haven't heard Part 1 yet... PAUSE HERE, go back to last week and check that out. If you're all caught up, this episode is sure to answer every burning question that you have left about JLH! In her conversation with Catt, the two get real about motherhood -- from the joys of raising toddlers, to the perils of parenting teenagers -- and talk openly about anxiety, grieving and that elusive work/life balance. Also, Jennifer takes the time to answer YOUR questions, like her thoughts on starring in Can't Hardly Wait, what she would tell her 20-year-old self, and which celebrity she would most like to meet. And, in this episode, Catt talks about how she recently tried to coach her eldest son through heartbreak.
Make a bowl of popcorn and get a glass of wine for this one, because teen dream Jennifer Love Hewitt is in Catt's bedroom this week (recorded pre-pandemic, of course). In part one of her two-part conversation with JLH, Catt starts at the beginning -- with Jennifer's early forays into entertainment, from singing in Texas bars as a school kid, to landing her first Hollywood job. With a career that spans three decades and includes landing a record deal in Japan, we find out all sorts of quirky secrets about Jennifer. Like why once-upon-a-time she signed autographs as Alyssa Milano, why her friends call her the "Forrest Gump of pop culture," and the real reasons she uses Instagram filters (hint: the reason we all do! because they're fun!) And, in this episode, Catt shares how her first dream career was to be an actress. Also, what she does to block out social media trolls and stop comparing herself to others.
You're not the only ones losing track of what day of the week it is and squabbling with your partners during the Quarantine. In this bonus episode, Catt and her boyfriend Nick LaKind answer your questions about staying motivated in these dark times, what their biggest fears are right now, and when they're getting married. Say what?! This is not an informational episode but instead a let-it-all-hang-out share under the sheets while Catt is, naturally, drinking wine. If you kinda feel like you're losing your mind right now, these two will make you feel a little less alone in your current state of WTF. And make sure to stay tuned. This Thursday, April 2nd, Jennifer Love Hewitt brings some light and reverence back to the show.
Named one of Hollywood's Top 10 Power Stylists of the decade, Karla Welch showed up to Catt's bedroom looking enviably cozy chic. Down-to-earth and passionate, Karla is the woman behind some of your favorite celebrity looks - from Olivia Wilde to Busy Philipps and Justin Bieber - she has dressed them all. But being a revered stylist is a lot more than putting together an outfit; Karla's distinct approach involves creating looks for each celebrity that represent the best version of themselves. From designing 'fits for Justin Bieber's tour, to the logistical chaos that takes place behind-the-scenes while prepping for the Oscars, Karla spills all. She also opens up about her personal life - like how she first met her husband while she was working as a server at a restaurant in Canada, and how she credits her parents for her rigorous work ethic. Karla also shares how she's been using her power to advocate for causes she believes in -- like through her collaboration with Levi's that raised money for gun control and her spicy IG posts. Also in this episode, Catt reminisces about what it was like to work with a stylist (for the first time ever!) when she landed at E!, after years of styling herself on local broadcast TV. Karla and Catt also swap stories about the one and only... Oprah!
All bundled up on a chilly day in LA, astrologer and author of You Were Born for This: Astrology for Radical Self-Acceptance, Chani Nicholas, dropped by Catt's room and taught us all about astrology -- from the importance of time, to understanding the involvement of the planets. Chani also pulls back the curtain on herself -- sharing how her upbringing in a radical community forced her to grow up quickly, how she first became interested in reiki and astrology, and why moved to LA to pursue acting. Also in this episode, Catt talks about how having children at a young age helped her stay grounded even while working in Hollywood. (P.S. We also make our first ever LIVE PHONE CALL on the show -- can you guess who Catt calls?!)
As reality starts to sink in that the Coronavirus isn't going away anytime soon, Catt and Nick admit to some of the things they are struggling with personally while quarantined. They also answer your questions about mental health challenges, how to productively spend your time while staying at home, the strain these tight quarters might take on relationships, and why day drinking might not be the best idea. Also, why can't Catt kiss and hug her kids right now?! Also in this episode some book recommendations, some fitness recommendations, and ideas on how you can contribute to society (from a distance) during these trying times.

Stopping by Catt's bedroom on Valentine's Day, Michelle Monaghan was all smiles and oozing positivity (it was contagious!). She talked about her experience in the Middle East filming her latest show, Netflix's Messiah; how she almost became a journalist instead of an actor; and why Hollywood - and her brothers - helped her to build a thick skin. She also discusses being pregnant while taping True Detective, paying her way through college by modeling, and trying to use her power as an actress and producer to pay it forward to other women in the industry. Also in this episode, Catt shares how growing up in the Midwest made a career in acting seem like a far-off dream. And, Catt and Michelle swap insight to their self-care routines.
Kicking off the release of her first book, Buy Yourself the F*cking Lilies: and Other Rituals to Fix Your Life, From Someone Who's Been There, Tara got comfortable in Catt's bedroom and opened up about her life behind the book. She talks about growing up in an unstable, neglectful and financially insecure household, and what it was like to receive visits at school by social services. Tara also shares what happened when she struck out on her own; hugely successful in her career but deeply struggling with her mental health. Things came to a head one night in her mid-20s when she made a drunken phone call to her therapist proclaiming suicidal thoughts. Also in this week's episode, Tara talks about the power of small self-care rituals, why journaling every day is important, and how she learned to re-parent herself with the help of a google doc (don't worry, she explains). And, in this conversation, Catt recalls an uncomfortable moment of her censorship from her time at E!... and how she's itching to play matchmaker for Tara.
This week, Alli Webb stops by Catt's bedroom to share intimate insight into her career, recent divorce and her revelation that it is OK to feel all the feelings -- even those of depression and sadness. Alli talks about building Drybar from a one-on-one service she provided to her friends— to a national empire with thousands of employees and a retail hair product line available at beauty shops and department stores everywhere. But Alli and Catt also wade into emotional waters, discussing Alli's efforts to maintain a business relationship with her now ex-husband, manage the details of their family together, and even, find passionate, new love once again. Also in this episode, Catt opens up about her first, extremely difficult divorce and how over time, they've managed to rebuild a relationship as co-parents and friends.
On a rare break from opening Y7 yoga studios all over the country, a pregnant Sarah Levey stopped by Catt's room to shed her bra and share some insights about founding one of America's fastest growing fitness companies. Sarah talks about her childhood and the hyper-scheduled, jam-packed line-up of extracurricular activities her mom established for her. She also shares the details of Y7’s start; when Sarah and her then-boyfriend would work their day jobs all week and on the weekends, orchestrate and teach yoga classes in any space they could find. Sarah also gets extremely candid about her previous miscarriages, and the physical and mental toll they had on her life. She also shares how she felt when— after all these difficulties— she found out she was pregnant and expecting a baby in June! Also in this episode, Catt shares about her first time going to Y7, which was followed by being chased down by the paparazzi. And, offers insight to her own journey in learning to love yoga.

You’ll also hear the back story on some of her live interviews straight from the carpet and get some dish from inside the most elite soirée in Hollywood— Oh the glamour!!!
In the first BONUS episode of the year, Catt comes clean about the turmoil she's been experiencing in the last few weeks. Sidelined with illness, her half-marathon training is almost non-existent. The race is just around the corner! Straight from under the sheets in their bed, Nick schools Catt on #MambaMentality and perseverance. Meanwhile, she picks a bone with him. What's it about this time?! Also in this conversation, you'll hear if the couple is expanding their family and why Oprah has returned to the top of Catt's target NAKED podcast guest list.
If you don't recognize her name, you will most definitely recognize her voice. That's because today's guest is the Emmy award-winning Yeardley Smith. She's been the voice of Lisa Simpson on the epic animated series, The Simpsons, for decades. Showing up at Catt's ready to play, Yeardley took off both her dress AND makeup, and kicked off the conversation with an honest look at her battle with body dysmorphia. During this interview, Yeardley opens up about surviving divorce (twice), learning to embrace her success as a voice actor, and constantly struggling to stay present. She also shares a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of her hugely successful podcast, Small Town Dicks, gives us all the details on meeting her fiancée, and celebrates the healing powers of therapy. Also in this episode, Catt and Yeardley discuss the problematic relationships they have had with their fathers, and how they still put a lot of stock into their parents' opinions. And, to all those bullies who made fun of Yeardley's voice when she was younger -- well, she is certainly having the last laugh now (and that laugh is insured by the way)!
Mandana Dayani, founder of the nonpartisan "I am a voter" movement, stops by Catt's bedroom and takes off a particularly meaningful piece of jewelry; her "voter" necklace. The "I am a voter" campaign is intended to encourage ALL people not only to vote, but become active, engaged participants in their communities. And, this week, Catt talks about her ongoing struggle to publish a book -- and why she needs to stop overthinking and start writing.

She also shares a surprising story about how she ended up in LA (which, spoiler alert, involves a date with a stranger and a whole lot of Klondike bars). And of course, Nurse Jamie shares some of her favorite skincare tips and tricks, answers some of your questions about injectables and her line of beauty tools, and discusses why she uses Xeomin in some of her clients. You won't want to miss one of Catt's shares in this episode either -- it's a lip injection horror story from her days on TV! We are back in Catt's bedroom with acupuncturist extraordinaire Andrea Thorpe of Sage Wellness Within. This is Part Two of our deep-dive into Chinese medicine and acupuncture, so if you missed Part One, head on back to learn a bit about Andrea's background, the history of acupuncture, and what landed Catt in Andrea's office last year. In this episode, we go DEEP into understanding how our bodies work -- and what you can do to start addressing your own imbalances. Using the questions many of you submitted, Catt asks Andrea about the healing (and destructive) powers of the food we eat, how our hormones work, treatment for fibroids, the ebb and flow of our sex drives, and so much more. Also, Andrea shares some simple advice you can start implementing today! Like, consider swapping kombucha with fermented vegetable juice -- it has all the gut-healing powers without all the sugar! And, Catt shares an update on her own health journey, as she combines diet, herbs and acupuncture to restore physiological balance.
Taking a break from her bustling acupuncture practice at Sage Wellness Within, Andrea Thorpe stopped by Catt's bedroom to give us a primer on acupuncture, herbal medicine and listening to our bodies. Andrea shares how she was first exposed to acupuncture as a patient -- when she sought treatment as an undergrad in college because she felt both "tired and wired" all at the same time. This turned out to be a transformative experience, as it not only made her feel exponentially better, but spurred Andrea to trade in a linguistics career for one in acupuncture. She also discusses the historical and spiritual origins of Chinese medicine; how she specializes in treating female patients in ways to improve overall health, hormone regulation, and fertility; and what her initial evaluation of Catt's own physical state was when she sought help from Andrea a few months ago. Also, in this episode, Catt talks about being bloated, fatigued and feeling at wits end last year -- until she met Andrea.
In the very last episode of the year, Catt bares all by answering your questions about love, motherhood, health, and yes— her former job at E! Don’t miss this raw, in-depth share as Catt hosts her own episode, with no guest for the first time in the show’s history. If you haven’t already, please rate and review the show and subscribe to our official NAKED Instagram @NakedPod. From the entire team, we thank you for your support this year and cannot wait to bring you more exciting guests and conversations in 2020!
Cozying up with a warm cup of coffee on a rare gloomy L.A. afternoon, Nick LaKind -- Catt's partner for the past three years -- sheds his pants and his usual comic front to reveal his compelling life story. From losing his dad at a young age, to being expelled from high school in Beverly Hills and lashing out against authority, Nick talks about how his upbringing shaped much of his adult life. He also shares some insight into his decision to get sober, and he and Catt re-live their first date -- at an AA meeting. The two also take time to answer YOUR questions about their relationship, how they met (spoiler alert, on the Raya dating app), what Nick thinks of Catt's drinking, and why sex and food play such an important role in their lives together. No topic is off limits in this very special episode!
Toting a cooler of breast milk, Catt's fellow Virgo Hillary Kerr stopped by the bedroom to talk about how she went from resisting the fashion industry -- to being a household name in it. She deep-dives into the early stages of her career as an editor at Elle; how she grew Who What Wear from a website to massive brand that's available at Target; and why through it all, she's still trying to learn how to be her own best advocate. Also in this episode, Hillary opens up about enduring a traumatic birth experience and the importance of having a strong support system. And, Catt shares a bit about the seeds of her own career success. She talks about being a perpetual "good girl" growing up in Indiana, and how her passion for acting and journalism began at a very young age.
On today's episode, the actor, writer, comedian, author and hopefully, our future president, June Diane Raphael, stopped by Catt's L.A. home for a talk. The two talk about her role in what is now the longest running Netflix original series, Grace and Frankie; why she decided to open a female-focused coworking space, The Jane Club; and how in an alternative universe, she could have played college basketball. Also, Diane shares the inspiration behind her recently released book, Represent: The Woman's Guide to Running for Office and Changing the World, as well as some how-to tips for anyone out there looking to run for political office. And, Catt offers a sneak peek into her upcoming TV pilot and shares her own insight into gender bias in Hollywood. Sidenote: Just a week or so after taping this interview, June -- inspired by her Grace and Frankie co-star, Jane Fonda -- was arrested protesting outside the U.S. Capitol building.
Catt's mom Linda stops by for another authentic exchange in her bedroom. The two talk about aging, going inward and taking inventory of what your soul really needs, and a surprise visitor shows up. You won't want to miss! We also hear about her mom's life work with the organization she started, Women Like Us. They talk about how rewarding it is to help other women in need. In our very first LIVE TAPING of the show, Jacey and Catt get NAKED in a very public forum. Speaking at the brand new Pvolve fitness studios in NYC, the two real-life besties put it all out there in this very candid conversation about their careers, motherhood and maintaining a decades-long friendship. Jacey is a blogging pioneer who has expanded her media empire from her Damsel in Dior website to include a thriving social media presence and even a brick-and-mortar store in LA. But Jacey shares a lot more than insight into her entrepreneurial endeavors -- she talks about growing up in a tiny town in Texas where her father was a cotton farmer; how she despised school and struggled with ADD; and why she decided not to share how miserable she was during pregnancy -- until this conversation! Also in this episode, Catt and Jacey share what it was like growing up in families that struggled with alcoholism. You don't want to miss this one! And one note: While Catt PROMISES during the interview to share all the info about the bodysuit she's wearing, sadly, that covetable piece didn't make it home to LA. It's whereabouts are UNKNOWN as are its details.
Floating into Catt's house like a dream, the glowy Danielle Duboise is the co-founder of Sakara Life - the plant-based, celebrity-beloved, meal delivery service. In this episode, Danielle talks about building a business with her best friend, hitting her own dieting rock bottom, and why you should always try to "eat the rainbow." She also discusses how she's been preoccupied with her weight since a young age, and how part of your food intake must include joy (don't worry - she'll explain). Also this week, Catt shares a glimpse of her own relationship with food. Catt talks about moving to L.A., why she thought healthy eating was snobby, and how she eventually gave up the bacon-and-eggs "Indiana diet" for one that better nourishes her body and soul.
You asked, we listened. Since we started NAKED back in June, we have received one consistent bit of feedback - a request for more of Catt’s personal shares. In this first episode of a new bonus series, Catt hangs with her friend and part-time assistant Caity Runger – once again in her bedroom. In this experimental episode, Catt reflects on a very difficult time in her mid-20s, contemplates signing up for the L.A. Marathon, and ends the episode with a special CATTFIRMATION reading. We sincerely appreciate you being a part of our NAKED community. We look forward to your feedback on our new @NakedPod Instagram account. Don’t forget to officially subscribe to the podcast if you haven’t so you can receive alerts when there’s a new episode. And please, rate us! Thank You!
Sophia takes off her signature Gucci leather fedora, settles into Catt's leather chair and tells us about what it takes to be the "baddest bitch in the room" (which is also the title of her recently released memoir). Sophia is a longtime music industry powerhouse who has managed everyone from GZA and RZA, to Raphael Saadiq and D'Angelo. In this interview, she talks about wishing she was white as a young girl, how a song changed her life in 12th grade, and why she skipped her college graduation to move to New York. Sophia also talks about how she went to painstaking lengths to avoid the spotlight throughout her career (she even had her images scrubbed from google!); why she eventually decided to "pay the price of fame" and write a memoir; and how Buddhism has shaped her spirituality. Also in this episode, Sophia and Catt talk about what it's like raising teenagers -- and Catt shares her concerns over raising her sons in a "privileged" L.A. life, and what she does to mediate that.
After slipping off her Prada combat boots, Trace Lysette settled into Catt's cozy leather chairs and spoke candidly about her life, her career and her future. While you may know her from Transparent or her recent role alongside J.Lo and Constance Wu in Hustlers, Trace shares a glimpse of what her life has been like off-screen. From being bullied as a teen in Ohio when she started to show signs of femininity, to becoming an openly transgender woman in Hollywood, Trace talks about feeling the need to constantly look over her shoulder. She also shares how she's coping with a painful breakup, why a showgirl in Dayton, OH changed her life, and how she's tired of being a "lone soldier." Also in this episode, Catt and Trace talk about equal pay, and Catt pledges to advocate for trans women in her future discussions on the issue. *** If you want to support the show, and keep this conversation going outside of our weekly episodes, you can find us on Patreon. Looking especially fresh and dewy, Whitney Port came by Catt's bedroom to discuss everything from her marriage, to the complex emotions around having a baby. She of course, talked about the reboot of The Hills -- like why we're not seeing more of her on the show, and how her sense of humor got her into trouble with some castmates. But she also gets into some deeply personal issues related to her life as a mom, a wife, an entrepreneur and a YouTuber. Whitney discusses what it's been like coping with her miscarriage while in the public eye; how she and her husband Timmy handle being partners both romantically and in business; and what it was like after the original Hills ended, and she struggled to rebuild her life. Also in this episode, Catt shares what it was like working at E! while having two toddlers at home.
It's a podcast connection of epic proportions! This week, Elizabeth Kott and Stephanie Simbari - the hosts of the insanely popular health and wellness podcast That's So Retrograde - get naked in Catt's bedroom. It's a heartfelt, emotionally raw, giggle-fest as the two talk about being both BFFs and business partners; which of their wrong turns led them to the right job; and their personal quests for self-improvement. Also, the two discuss how to be conscious consumers, why it's important to try one healing practice at a time, and ask the question: Why are we so mad at happy people? And, in this episode, Catt talks about her parents getting divorced when she was just a kid, her collection of crystals and practicing gratitude every day. --------------------------- If you want to support the show, and keep this conversation going outside of our weekly episodes, you can find us on Patreon. Super-human Martha Adams stopped by Catt's bedroom to share all. From spending her childhood growing up all over the world, to overseeing production of the hit documentary film Girl Rising, Martha has built her career around empowering girls through education. She shares what it's like working with heavy-hitting forces for good like Michelle Obama and Meryl Streep; balancing her globe-trotting lifestyle with her commitment to her kids; and even, a brief cameo she made as an actor. Also, in this episode, Catt talks about her eye-opening trip to Kenya that she took with her mom's non-profit. If you want to learn more about Martha, be sure to follow her on twitter or check out her new website: https://marthaadams.me/
Despite the disclaimer that she prefers to keep certain parts of her life private, Logan showed up in Catt's bedroom, took off her shorts, and opened up in so many ways. Of course, she talked about her role as Samantha White on Netflix's Dear White People - and the complicated racial dynamics of the show - but Logan also discussed how she handles these issues in her day-to-day life. She talks about moving to Los Angeles on her own when she was just a teenager in order to jumpstart her career, and grappling with her dad's death. Logan also walks us through what it was like to do a 30-hour meditation session to celebrate her 30th birthday. Also in this episode, Catt shares about her own understanding of grief since losing her father to lung cancer. After kicking off her shoes and relaxing into Catt's leather chair, Elise Loehnen set the record straight on GOOP - from why the brand's philosophy is so misunderstood, to how she handles negative media attention. Elise also speaks candidly about her own life, starting with her childhood in Missoula, Montana, to raising her own kids in Los Angeles according to her own rules of motherhood. She also offers insight to her recent effort to better face, and process emotions and anxiety amid an increasingly busy life. Also in this episode, Catt shares how she and her family manage anxiety together. And, if you can't get enough of these two, Catt will be appearing on the GOOP podcast on 10/15. Be sure to tune in!
We may be back in Catt's bedroom, but this episode is a dramatic departure from the usual format! In this week's conversation, Catt sits down with our first MALE guest, Karamo Brown. You probably know him from Netflix's Queer Eye - he's the official culture expert, and resident life coach - but in this interview, Karamo reflects on his own life. After taking off his shirt, he and Catt cover a lot of ground -- from Karamo's attempted suicide, to physically abusing his boyfriends, and becoming the first openly gay Black man on MTV's The Real World. Karamo also speaks at length for the first time about the controversy surrounding his recent Sean Spicer comments. The two have some fun as well -- discussing Karamo's current role on Dancing with the Stars, his extensive collection of L.A. Dodgers hats and why he wants to bathe in a tub full of Starburst candy. Also in this episode, Catt gets extremely vulnerable, disclosing a never-before-shared fact about her family.
On a sweltering summer day, a very pregnant Daphne braved the LA heat to sit down and talk with Catt in her bedroom. The two discussed Daphne's struggle with her weight in college, the importance of making health a priority instead of an obsession, and of course, Daphne's famous father (Dr. Oz, the health and wellness expert). Daphne and Catt also got candid about parenting, pregnancies, and the lessons they have learned from their children - many of which Daphne shares in her own podcast, "Mom Brain." And, in this episode, Catt shares intimate details about her own family history and her desire to create new traditions for her sons. ________________ If you want to support the show, and keep this conversation going outside of our weekly episodes, you can find us on Patreon.
