Kevin Hassett is the Director of the National Economic Council, on today's show he walks us through everything that happened this week with respect to tariffs and the U.S. economy. The House of Representatives have passed the budget bill. The budget resolution vote takes place today in the House. The proposal is set to reduce trillions of dollars in spending reductions and tax cuts that are key to President Trump's agenda. Speaker Johnson cannot afford to lose votes and so far it looks like there are three Republican holdouts. The White House celebrated a big victory in court over the Associated Press. A federal judge rejected the AP's request for a temporary restraining order to allow the AP access to President Trump. The White House asserted in their statement that access to the president is a privilege and they stand by the decision to hold the fake news accountable. Senator Marsha Blackburn is hopeful the House will get the budget bill passed with crucial elements of President Trump's agenda, including tax cuts and slimming down the wasteful, bloated government.
