An album pin is a lapel pin with artwork inspired by a specific album or song from an album. It could be the actual album artwork or it could be inspired by a specific track on the album. The best album pins stand out on their own. They appeal to more than just your fans. It is simple, bold, and visually engaging. However, what truly makes it an “album pin” is that the purchaser also gets a digital album with their pin. I have an entire blog on my website with details including templates for you to make your own album pin jacket.

Sidney Poitier was a trailblazing actor, film director, and diplomat who achieved numerous significant accomplishments throughout his career. As the first African-American to win the Academy Award for Best Actor, he made history with his powerful performances in films such as "Lilies of the Field" and the 1967 classic, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner." Poitier's impact extended beyond the silver screen, as he used his influence to challenge racial stereotypes and advocate for civil rights. In 2009, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his contributions to American culture, and his legacy continues to inspire future generations of actors and activists. We're going to hear Sidney Poitier being interviewed by Bill Parkhurst on the radio show Between the Lines in 1981. More at KRobCollection.com

"What The Lilies Know" (11/24/24) Matt. 6:25-35 Does your "worry box" feel like it's always full? What could it look like to put those worries in their proper perspective?
Today's guest is one of my oldest and closest friends, Kristen Scott. Not only is she an extremely talented recording artist and Christian singer and songwriter, but her beautiful testimony of Jesus Christ and connections she finds to Jesus Christ through music and motherhood makes today's episode one of my favorites yet. For the first time on Lilies and Manna podcast, there is a live musical number that you will not want to miss! This song is sung by Kristen and what she describes as her personal testimony of the Savior.

Is my cancer back? Is my job secure? Will I ever get married? Are my children safe? Our lives are often a chronicle of trouble, pain, and uncertainty--and God's children yearn for peace. Many who wrestle with anxiety and despair know that the Bible calls them to "trust God," but what does that even mean? Pastor, podcaster, and speaker, Jonny Ardavanis, joined us to help us see how God responds to those who are worn down by worry and badgered by melancholy. https://www.amazon.com/Consider-Lilies-Finding-Perfect-Character/dp/0310368243 https://dialinministries.org/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGB5fYWHTNemqp9aZC232eg Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshow/wkesSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
If you have a tendency to worry, fear, or deal with anxiety, this episode is for you. In this world, we know that we will face difficulties and trials, and there is a great temptation to focus on those cares. But there are times that our concerns can cross over into anxiety and worry, and we take our focus off of our God and onto the problem at hand. Join me as we take a look at a recent book released called Consider the Lilies that addresses the issue of worry and anxiety, and we remember God and His glorious attributes. Jonny Ardavanis joins Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar to discuss finding peace in the character of God, as explored in his book, Consider the Lilies. Though he never initially saw himself as a pastor, he now serves full-time in Tennessee, driven by a desire to offer hope in an anxious world. In full time ministry Jonny observed widespread struggles with anxiety and depression, prompting him to explore these issues from a biblical perspective. He emphasizes that anxiety isn't limited to young people; it's a pervasive issue that many try to escape by staying busy. However, busyness often worsens the problem, as true peace comes from deep reflection on God's character.Jonny argues that anxiety is like a ski lift that never reaches the top of the mountain—an ever-present tension beneath the surface. The guys along with Jonny talk about slowing down and contemplating God's attributes to combat this. They suggest that believers often fill their lives with neutral things that offer no real help, leading to an underdeveloped view of God's attributes. In Scripture, when God addresses the anxious, He reveals His character, reminding them that He is an ever-present help in times of trouble. Jonny emphasizes that God's sovereignty cannot be separated from His character. For instance, when David was fleeing from Saul, he found comfort in knowing that God understood him deeply, which calmed his anxious heart. Jonny highlights that even Jesus, fully human, experienced deep sorrow and distress, showing empathy and tender care for the anxious. When addressing those who feel condemned by their anxiety, Jonny advises starting with questions and acknowledging that fear is a human experience. Christians should lean on their community and cast their cares on God, who is stronger and wiser. Jonny also addresses the modern epidemic of loneliness, noting that anxiety often isolates people from what they need most—being known and loved. He encourages people to be open with God and the local church, reminding them that they don't have to bear their burdens alone. Jesus, who knew true grief, betrayal, and abandonment, identifies with us in our suffering. The group concludes that knowing God leads to experiencing the peace of God. This relationship is both a privilege and a foundation for hope. We can be confident that God will not leave us, because He forsook His own Son on the cross to secure our relationship with Him. This assurance, coupled with understanding the character of God, draws believers into a deeper intimacy and trust in Him.Send us a text Thanks for listening! One of our native lilies is the spectacular Lilium superb, spelled “superbum,” (but it is not pronounced as it is spelt). Its petals recurve, so a common name is Turk's cap.
Today you'll get to hear from Aaron Holland! Aaron's Dad Rich co-hosts the Resident Strangers podcast and actually both of his parents have been featured on this podcast! We appreciate Aaron's willingness to share with us as his story is still very much unfolding. He was born in North Carolina and eventually moved with his family to Virginia as his Dad had been asked to plant a church. Aaron shares that his family had a very holistic approach to ministry as his parents desired the entire family to be all-in. He struggled with the transition as they moved, and the church plant became a harder task. A lot of things shifted and changed and soon the Hollands found themselves moving to Arizona in 2018. Aaron fondly remembers this time and walks us through his time in the youth group at Desert Springs. Life was moving in a really great, positive direction. However, on January 1, 2024, life as Aaron knew it was drastically changed. Out of the blue he had a seizure. This was scary as nothing like this had ever happened to him and there was no obvious reason why it happened. Then 2 weeks later he had another one. Aaron was now faced with the reality that something was wrong - and it was serious. We appreciate Aaron's openness and realness as he walks us through these difficult months of his life. He describes the anger and even denial he has felt going through this. Eventually he faced God with all of his feelings and a breakthrough occurred. Though Aaron has not yet been healed and this is still ongoing he now sees this as an opportunity to grow in His trust in God and see His provision through a new lense. Be encouraged as you listen. It's easy to look at the stressors of life that cause us worry, anxiety, and fear, and to question if God is really going to help us get through it. I love how my friend Jonny in his new book, Consider the Lilies, explores how we can have hope and peace because of the person of Christ. God's character gives us the hope and confidence we need to overcome every battle, even the ones that happen in our heads and hearts.GET JONNY'S BOOK HERE: https://a.co/d/6fL6WbUORDER MY BOOK HERE: www.kirby-kelly.com/you-can-be-free

This week's guest was born in the Netherlands into a family that started their business in 1935 and now 3 generations later, soon to be 4 generations Onings Holland is known for distributing a wide range of flower bulbs, tubers, and seeds around the world. My guest is Henk Onings and soon after graduating school he moved to Pompeii, Italy for a couple of years to learn the floral industry with the family business. Then the opportunity to start Onings America brought him to the United States where he developed a business selling and suppling lily bulbs to North America. 27 years later they have grown to so much more and I'm excited to share my conversation with Henk this week on The Flower Podcast. We chat about how the bulb sales and production is often determined by big box stores. Lilies can be an important part of your flower production. It was also great to chat about freesia, a flower that I wish was grown by more local farmers. Next week we are going to release part 2 of our conversation.
