We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gyms was founded to provide a place for children of all ability levels to play and grow together. As the only kids gym that offers an inclusive philosophy we have found all children can benefit from our uniquely designed sensory equipment that is specifically designed to aid children with sensory processing disorders. However, in our experience, all children are able to benefit greatly from this equipment and by allowing children of all ability levels to play together they are able to learn a great deal from each other and become the best motivation for success on every level. The staff at We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gyms are comprised of the most caring, understanding and energetic people around. We have a host of staffers and volunteers who come to us in order to assist our gym and its goal of aiding children with special needs in growing beyond the expectations of doctors and therapists. Often a therapist for a child with special needs will attend the gym with the children in order to observe and provide their therapy while using the equipment in our gym. This allows kids the access they want to the amazing equipment while the therapist is able to take advantage of the support and availability of the staff and equipment which might not be present in other settings. Nicole welcomes amazing artist Jen Chambers of Jen Chambers Art! Jen Chambers was born and raised in the Northwest. After obtaining her degree in interior design she recognized that in addition to expressing herself through design she could also enhance and convey her perspective through art. Jen found her true passion as a mixed media artist in 2005 and has never looked back. She is constantly viewing the world through her own artistic lens and is greatly inspired by textures that are found in the natural landscape. She draws from her interpretation of nature and strives to interlace movement with serenity through both common and abstract forms. Jen works with acrylic mixed medias as well as encaustics. Her style, although always highly textural, ranges greatly, allowing her freedom in artistic experimentation, resulting in constant evolution. Jen's work can be found at Gray Sky Gallery in Seattle as well as Sorella Salon & Spa in the Issaquah Highlands. Website: www.JenChambersArt.com

Chef Kristen Schumacher, a graduate of Indiana University, the Seattle Culinary Academy, and a proud attendee of the Quillisascut Farm School of the Domestic Arts, Chef Kristen Schumacher (Chef Schu) feels fortunate to live and work in the Pacific Northwest, where she is surrounded by such abundance and inspiration for the food she cooks. As a restaurateur, farmers market coordinator, cookbook contributor, caterer, cooking instructor, and food product manufacturer, she has been active in many facets of cooking through the years. One of Chef Schu's passions is being a sustainable food advocate and volunteer. She has offered her time and expertise to various Seattle & Snoqualmie Valley organizations to help promote and educate people about the local food economy and sustainable kitchen practices. She has also taken up farming in her own backyard. Growing food that she can cook with completes the circle of farm to table cuisine. She has served as a personal chef for local celebrities, a cooking instructor and in-house chef' at The Pantry in Ballard Washington, as well as a guest instructor at a number of different cooking schools in the area. Her latest adventure was owner and head chef at the farm-to-table Heirloom Cookshop in downtown Snoqualmie. Anyone who went remembers it as a place to eat delicious food from the ever-changing menu, support the local producers and community, and make wonderful memories. Chef Schu plans to carry on that tradition at Heirloom Cookshop Collective Farm for events and dinners under the stars. When she's not in the kitchen, you will find Kristen spending time with her two adorable girls, Ryanne and Finley, all of her animals and close friends. She loves exploring the outdoors in any season...skiing, hiking, mountaineering creating art, pouring over creative food blogs and cookbooks, tinkering in the kitchen, preserving the harvest, and drinking very good mezcal. After becoming vegan and broadcasting our vegan journey through social media and word of mouth, friends and family would continuously ask them for support in transitioning to a vegan lifestyle. An adult version of the hugely successful book Strong Is the New Pretty, this is an inspiring tribute to female athletes—those who have paved the way throughout history and those who continue to push the boundaries of what it means to be strong. From being kept out of the sporting world by most ancient Greeks to being told by The New York Times that the 800-meter race was “too great a call on feminine strength,” women have long had to fight against the perception that to be strong is not feminine. Yet today, as women reclaim space in business and politics, we are also seeing an explosion in the number of women participating in strength sports like powerlifting, CrossFit, and even American Ninja Warrior. Those who got us here and defied convention to bring equality to the world of physical strength finally get their due in Strong Like Her—from the first female Olympian (who entered the chariot race through a loophole) to the “Queen of Muscle Beach” Pudgy Stockton, who dazzled crowds by holding her husband over her head. Accompanied by stunning celebrity photographs of some of today's most exciting athletes, Strong Like Her is a group biography and cultural history, paying tribute to women pioneers in athletics and celebrating the beauty of female strength and power. Sena Sea Seafoods is the culmination of our family's rich fishing history, our desire to share our fresh, never-farmed fish, and our commitment to ocean stewardship. Sena's grandfather immigrated from Norway with his brothers and became a commercial fisherman in 1938. They fished using traditional Norwegian longlines, and passed the knowledge to their children, who passed it on again. Sena's father, Art, fished for thirty years, and Sena has fond memories of making trips with him on the Alrita as a teenager. Rich had the privilege of “breaking in” on the Alrita and learning the traditional Norwegian ways from Sena's dad. We are proud to be the third generation of fishermen carrying our family tradition, and teaching our kids as well. A highlight to any fishing season is when we can get the kids out on the boat to help Dad. We work hard to bring home the best fish in the world and our goal with Sena Sea is to bring the consistent premium quality that we get to enjoy, direct to our customers...something they just can't find anywhere else.
