    I've been a vegetarian for over 16 years and while I don't think that just being a vegetarian makes you healthier, it led me down a path of learning about the food industry, learning about ingredients and food labels, and being conscious about what I feed myself and my family.It can be paradigm shifting to learn that just because something is in the grocery store doesn't mean it should be consumed and this is especially true when it comes to the "food" products that are marketed to children.I believe that the best way to improve your health is to eat a whole food diet as much as you can. You will eat approximately 3 meals a day (plus some snacks in there for some) and exercise only once a day, or for some people it might be 3 times a week or less. But many people have an emotional connection to certain food products or they turn to food when they are stressed, overwhelmed, or even happy. This can be why it's the hardest thing to change for people.Knowledge can be power, so start researching what those ingredients are in your packaged food and look at the nutritional label as well. All of it will help you be more informed and empowered in creating peak health.

    This week i'm sharing 6 ways you can create better mental health and have a rock solid mindset.A few things I really want to emphasize are:We are not meant to "feel good" all the time, because we don't! Life is both "positive" and "negative" and so nothing has gone wrong when we are experiencing negative emotions. And as you have probably heard me say on other episodes, the negative emotions are always guiding us to what we do want, so learn to listen to the message.Another important point is that putting in "work" or "effort" is really what creates those fulfilling feelings. We are meant to create and accomplish things, not just consume content.     AWP: Limiting Beliefs around creating Peak Health

    Peak health isn't 1 thing, it's a combination of many habits that all stem from the belief "I matter".When you fully believe that you matter (and therefore your health matters), you will inevitably take steps towards creating peak health.In this weeks' episode you'll learn about how limiting believes are created, how sneaky some of those limiting beliefs can be, and why we must have radical responsibility when it comes to our beliefs if we want new outcomes in our health and wellness.Most people go about life from the belief: "I'll believe it when I see it."What I teach is that you will see it once you believe it, and of course this extends to creating peak health for yourself.If you hold active beliefs in you that:It's really hard to be healthyNo matter what you do, nothing seems to changeYou don't have time to take care of yourselfEating healthy doesn't taste good or is too time consuming or too hardetcThen you'll end up creating more of the same results because we create from our subconscious belief system.  And the thing about beliefs is that your ego will try to convince you that these aren't belief systems, this is just the truth.     AWP: The No Complaining Challenge

    Last week on Instagram I put out a "No complaining challenge".Since what we think and what we speak about creates our feelings, complaining will obviously create negative feelings, and it makes sense that we should eliminate it from our life. The problem for many people is that complaining actually gives you (short term) energy in the moment, and the more you've done it, the easier it is to continue with the habit.It takes awareness and constraint to stop the habit of complaining, and also realizing that the energy you get from it is very short lived, and you'll always end up feeling worse later on.It's your attention on something that gives it life - so by you complaining you are essentially feeding that exact thing you don't want to continue.Complaining is  victim consciousness  -  you don't realize it when you are doing it, but you are getting energy from people feeling sorry for you.     AWP: The Ultimate Form of Self Respect

    Self respect comes through living in alignment with your values, keeping your word with yourself and taking immaculate care of yourself + your well-being.To me, peak health is the ultimate form of self respect because it's honouring your mind and body. Peak health is not a certain body shape or size, it's quality sleep, proper hydration, consuming whole foods, daily movement you enjoy, and thinking and speaking about yourself kindly and with respect.This is the time of year where many people overeat, over drink, get less sleep and forget about their self care routines if they have them. Today's episode is a reminder that taking care of yourself is your responsibility and a great privilege - not a burden.Ps.     The 1% and the 99%

    Today's episode is a fresh take on Discipline. To me, discipline is freedom, but I don't really think about how I need to be a disciplined person, I think about what I want and what's important to me, and I spend time believing it's possible, then the discipline to accomplish things follows.Discipline doesn't have to be, nor should it be, your goal. Make what you want your goal then learn how to believe in yourself. The discipline will be the effect of that embodied belief.To the women who think of discipline as sacrifice or struggle, learn to reframe it to the freedom to give yourself what you want.On a spiritual, energetic and physical level, we must earn what it is we want. We need to expand ourselves to be/do/have more. Effort (or discipline) is necessary for us to earn what we want. Discipline is about being intentional about what you want MOST over instant gratification and this is a very high level way to be. How you feel can be very fleeting and in some cases we shouldn't rely on how we feel to determine what we do. This takes awareness and practice.Listen to today's episode to learn more.Ps.     This week we are talking about stress.Your mind is beyond powerful - that can be the best news ever, or not - depending on if you use or mind or let it use you.When you google the definition of stress you'll get: "Stress can be defined as a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation."How I think about stress is that it's not caused from something "out there", it's caused from "in here" (your mind).A difficult situation doesn't cause you stress, how you think about a difficult situation causes you stress. It's important to remember that we do have power over our experience on Earth but utilizing the power of our thoughts and really questioning the thoughts we think.When you learn how to think about yourself as a capable person, for example, you may experience less stress when in a difficult situation because you believe you are someone who can handle tough things.Listen in to learn more, as well as learn some tips for when you do experience stress.Ps.
