“When making plans, think big. When making progress, think small.”
ABOUT THIS EPISODEPull up a cozy seat, queen—this one's an inner-circle chat about building your Icon Blueprint with faith, focus, and follow-through. If you've got a God-sized vision but the “how” feels heavy, I'm handing you a gentle, grounded roadmap: sow the seeds, touch your dream daily, and prepare for the “suddenly.” Because miracles love a woman in motion. We're talking baby steps and bold moves—the tiny habits that stack and the courageous leaps that shift your season. You'll learn how to define a clear vision, align actions with values, practice gratitude that magnetizes, and create a simple quarterly → monthly → weekly rhythm that keeps you moving without burnout or perfectionism.By the end, you'll feel lighter, clearer, and fully resourced to play the long game with divine timing, not frantic hustling. Your dream life is built brick by brick—God's plan, pure perfection—and every seed you plant counts.KEY TAKEAWAYSICON BLUEPRINT = FAITH + ACTION: Sow daily seeds and be ready for your “suddenly.”TRUTH BOMB: Overwhelm isn't a sign to quit; it's a cue to simplify the next step.EMPOWERING SHIFT: From “all at once” to quarterly → monthly → weekly momentum.ALIGNED ACTION: Do one baby step + one bold move today. Touch the dream, don't just think it.THE SELF-LOVE 2-STEP: THE ICON BLUEPRINT — BABY STEPS + BOLD MOVESYour dream needs all sizes of steps—the tiny consistent ones that compound and the brave, visibility-making leaps. This two-part practice keeps you in motion without the spiral, so you can honor divine timing while taking aligned action every day.STEP 1 — SOW YOUR SEEDS (BABY STEPS): Pick one small, doable action that moves your vision forward today: send the email or make the call, journal or visualize your next milestone, declutter one vibe-killing space, turn off notifications after 8pm, request two phone-free dinners this week, or unfollow/mute 20 energy drains. Touch the dream daily.STEP 2 — SHOOT YOUR SHOT (BOLD MOVES): Choose one courageous action you've been avoiding: go LIVE, deliver the pitch, book the interview, slide into the DMs for the collab, ask for the raise, block time for yourself without apology, or implement the boundary you've been postponing. Momentum loves decisiveness.Pro tip: Break the big annual goal into 4 quarterly goals, then into monthly focuses, then into weekly targets. Build in carryover space, expect detours, and quiet the negative self-talk with a reframe. Celebrate weekly and monthly progress—every seed matters.CHAPTERS00:00 Introduction: The Magic of Faith and Aligned Action00:34 Sacred Boundaries and Resources01:19 Embracing Big Dreams02:11 Overcoming Fear and Paralysis06:14 Defining Your Iconic Vision07:23 Touching the Dream Daily11:17 Taking Aligned Action17:28 The Myth of Overnight Success21:51 Living in Expectation of Great Things24:57 Playing the Long Game27:27 Conclusion: Keep Sowing Seeds
This is a big one folks. In this episode, I introduce what I've been working on the last many months from vision to design to structure: your home-world Living Emergence. I share how this vision came through, the philosophy that underpins it, and what it will feel like to live inside it. Topics / themes I explore: The why behind Living Emergence — how I knew my work and my “home” needed to move Shifting from courses with start and end dates into a living, breathing world that never has to “end” Building a community that holds both sovereignty and belonging Trusting myself to steward something that's meant to grow far beyond me The transition from teacher / guide into architect of a home-world Rooting and expansion as twin rhythms of creative life Living inside cycles: solar, lunar, astrological — and letting them structure our evolution How my existing offerings (Emergence Astrology, The Magician's Table, Unshaming Your Chart, Mystics Making Money) will interweave inside this new space What it means to create a place that can hold your process for as long as it's feeding you I also name the five philosophical pillars of the space - Presence, Trust, Paradox, Collective Story, and Creative Power - and offer a glimpse into how Living Emergence will unfold through soft launch, public opening, and initiation under the Scorpio New Moon. If you are a past student who has unsubscribed from my mailing list and you are interested in scoring the soft launch discount this October 19th, please be sure to re-subscribe to my mailing list because you will only be able to get that information from my emails. The course page will be ready by the big launch November 4-20. The doors will close indefinitely after the November 20 Initiation Ceremony. If you're finding out about Living Emergence after November 20, 2025, please stay connected to my voice either here, in Instagram, or my newsletter to find out about when we open again for belonging. Moderator: Und was steht davor? Milena Kostic: Die Vision – die Big Vision. Was will ich rüberbringen? Was möchte ich? Da muss man hin. You had the vision, but something's misfiring. This episode reveals why alignment—not ambition—determines how far you go. If you've been pushing hard but losing steam, it's time to recalibrate from the inside out.You had the vision. The plan. The fire. But somewhere along the way, something got heavy. Maybe you're carrying too much. Maybe you lost clarity. Or maybe, your identity just hasn't caught up to what you're trying to create. In today's episode, we unpack the hidden tension when your big vision outpaces your embodied identity. You'll learn what internal capacity actually means, how to build it without burnout, and why identity always comes before sustainable strategy. We'll reintroduce core ILR concepts like embodied identity and tease what's ahead this week—neural efficiency, habituation, and the identity feedback loop.We also look at the story of Jim Simons—world-class mathematician turned financial pioneer—who walked away from prestige to chase a vision the world wasn't ready for. He didn't rush. He stayed aligned. And it paid off.Today's micro-recalibration:Where has your vision outpaced your identity? What small shift would bring you back into integrity today?Your capacity expands as your identity recalibrates. If this episode gave you language you've been missing, please rate and review the show so more high-capacity humans can find it. If you're passionate about education, innovation, or nonprofit leadership, this conversation will inspire you. What We Cover in This Episode:Heather's Origin Story: How her experience in mechanical engineering—and a life-changing classroom project—led to starting PEN in Ghana. The Big Vision for PEN: Why Heather wants to make hands-on STEM education the norm across all of Africa, and what that really means in terms of scale and impact.Current Impact & Reach: Over 9,000 teachers trained since 2016, with programs expanding from Ghana to Rwanda and Liberia. The Challenge of Fundraising: How PEN funds its work through a mix of individual donors, foundations, corporate partnerships, and NGOs—and why individual giving is a key focus area for growth. The Power of Donor Relationships: We dive into why Heather's most loyal donors give, how the 80/20 principle applies to fundraising, and how to personalize asks to inspire bigger gifts.Heather's Next-Level Goals: Her plan to double individual giving and create sustainable funding that covers PEN's operational needs.I loved Heather's passion for problem-solving and her belief that every student should leave school with the skills to tackle real-world challenges. Her story of building a wind turbine from a plastic bucket and scrap computer parts was such a powerful example of what's possible with creativity and resourcefulness. And as a fundraiser myself, our discussion about donor motivation and making personalized asks really hit home.Heather's mission is bold, but so necessary. Education is the foundation for change, and Practical Education Network is doing the work to ensure students are equipped not just with knowledge, but with the confidence and skills to innovate and solve problems in their own communities. If you're inspired by this conversation, I encourage you to learn more about PEN and consider supporting their work.Do you need to make bolder asks, but you have to figure out what the heck you're going to say? Dukes and Bell get back to their conversation on the Hawks firing of general manager Landry Fields and share thoughts on the timing of the move and what may have led the Hawks to make the decision to let Fields go. As they discuss, they agree Fields was overall a good GM highlighting moves he made including the trade to get Dyson Daniels and make the right choice to draft Zaccharie Riscacher instead of Alex Sarr. As their conversation continued, they then ask if the Hawks can win with Trae Young and whether or not the team has to seriously consider parting ways with their All-Star guard.

For the last two decades, architect and educator JP Reuer has been exploring how artists can become vital, integrated members of their communities rather than isolated figures working on the fringes of society. That ethos now fuels his most ambitious project to date: Small School, a Raleigh-based arts organization that reimagines advanced arts education as more accessible, collaborative and deeply embedded in local culture.Through Small School, JP has rejected the traditional MFA model in favor of a nimbler, community-driven approach. The organization brings renowned visiting artists to the Triangle area to engage with local artists through workshops, public events and one-on-one studio visits, an exchange that empowers both emerging and established artists while fostering a richer creative ecosystem. In this episode, JP traces his journey from academia to founding Small School, sharing what he's learned about the evolving role of artists in society. He discusses the power of bringing artists out of ivory towers and into the heart of their communities and why rethinking arts education is essential to supporting a more inclusive and dynamic creative landscape.https://smallschool.org/
