What a year this weekend has been. I mean seriously, I am at a loss for words. I've attempted to draft a powerful message of hope and encouragement while fighting back tears. Tears of frustration, tears of anger, tears of hurt, AND tears of joy. The latter is only understood by those who believe as I believe. How could one have joy at a time like this when the world is in an uproar, racism continues to plague our community as we mourn the senseless death of George Floyd, Covid-19 has crippled our economy, unemployment is at an all time high, businesses are permanently closing their doors and the list goes on…. Here's the thing. Joy is a choice and this joy that I have, the WORLD didn't give it and the WORLD can't take it away. Today, I'm choosing to smile.
