I teach a simple framework for confidence and business success, which is summarized by the word ABLE. (Find out more about this in my podcast on how to get successful in business and life.) It stands for: Awarenes Belief Lots of action Evaluation Today I want to dive a little deeper into the first step, the A: awareness. Awareness actually stands for 2 important things you need to do as your first step You need to become aware of your thoughts on a daily basis as they create your results. This is the key to getting the results you want. (find out more in this episode why you don’t yet have what you want). But it also stands for awareness of the reason you’re in business in the first place. You want to know your big why That is important, because creating a successful business can be tough. It’s challenging as your brain will keep telling you that you can’t do it: That it’s too hard. That you’re too tired to do this difficult task today and that you need a rest. That others are doing something similar to you and that your work is not needed. It’s in those moments that your Big Why will pull you through. Show notes at https://sylviavandelogt.com/why

One of the most important skills you can learn is self confidence. It's a bit different from confidence. According to Wikipedia: Confidence is a feeling of self-assurance arising from an appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities I couldn't find the definition of self confidence on Wikipedia which assumes that they believe it's the same thing as confidence. However, I believe it's something different. It's a definition I learned from one of my mentors: Brooke Castillo. Self-confidence is being secure in yourself and your abilities. It’s your ability to trust yourself, knowing that you can experience any emotion (including humiliation or failure) without being harmed. In this podcast you'll learn how to build supreme self confidence. Yes, it's something you practice and learn! What you’ll learn in this podcast The difference between confidence and self confidence Why traditional advice on how to become more confident doesn't work How to practice self confidence The most important question you can ask yourself when you're in the midst of a difficult task and you feel like giving up A simple exercize you can do each day to build your self confidence Check the show notes at https://sylviavandelogt.com/confidence

If you've listened to my podcast on why we don't yet have what we want, you will have learned that we want most things because of the way they make us feel. Most of the time you do the things you do in life because of the way you want to feel. You want to feel happy, or accomplished or excited. On the other hand often we don't achieve the things we want, because achieving it and doing the actions that are necessary to achieve it, just feels too awful. When we start feeling awful, we may do external things to make us feel better like buying a new dress or buffer with food or alcohol. How great would it be if we could manage our feelings so we can feel better more of the time AND not let the bad feelings get in the way of our dreams. That's what I discuss in this podcast. I talk about how to manage your feelings and how you can learn to feel better. This is what you'll learn: External things that make you feel better How to feel better from the inside out? What determines how we feel? How can we take control over our feelings? How to pursue a goal from a feeling of abundance? How to tap into the feeling you want to create ahead of time.
