FIRST 34:00 are a spoiler-free review with our See It/Skip It verdict AFTER 34:00 it's a full spoiler review This week's See It Or Skip It has us diving into the brand-new Netflix thriller Carry-On, a film that sees Taron Egerton stepping into the high-stakes world of airport paranoia and suspense. Join us as we break down this intense, edge-of-your-seat story of a TSA agent blackmailed into smuggling something dangerous onto a Christmas Eve flight. Ian is joined by Bootleg Kev as we discuss whether Carry-On delivers enough tension to keep us gripped, how Taron Egerton holds up in this darker role, how this film may have borrowed a particular action sequence aesthetic from another Taron Edgerton film, and if the plot stays airborne or crashes under the weight of its premise. Plus, Ian keeps drawing parallels to a pair of 90s action thriller classics – but which ones? We'll answer all these questions and more as we dissect Carry-On and then tell you whether you should SEE IT or SKIP IT!

two years before the end of the Cold War to broker a licensing agreement for what would become the best-selling video game of all time: Tetris.Either of those feats would be remarkable; to accomplish both is a whole other level of entrepreneurial achievement. Through founding the Blue Planet Foundation, he is helping to do just that, starting in his home state of Hawaii where he was instrumental in driving their goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045. Filmkavalkad i veckans episod!
On this week's On-Screen Live!, the gang's chatting about Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Murder Mystery 2 and Tetris, analyzing the weekend box office, reacting to trailers for Marvel's Secret Invasion, Wes Anderson's Asteroid City and DC's The Blue Beetle, and much more! Film and TV commentator Chris Schulz joins Kathryn to talk about The Power (Amazon Prime) starring Toni Collette about what happens when women develop a mysterious new ability to electrocute at will. He'll also profile Swarm (Amazon Prime), about a young woman's obsession with a pop star that takes a deadly turn and Tetris (Apple TV) with Taron Edgerton about the early days of the popular game.
The month-long, March Madness-esque marathon of Movies That Matter concludes with the return of Liz Gillespie, as she and Chris discuss Kingsman: The Secret Service, the 2015 spy-action-comedy directed by Matthew Vaughn, and starring Taron Edgerton, Colin Firth, and Samuel L. Jackson. A film that shows the importance of mentorship and legacy. It proves appearances can be deceiving, and that Colin Firth is an absolute savage. Manners. Maketh. Man.

Rockin' and Rollin'! Viel Spaß!PS: Zu sehen gibt es alle drei Teile im Abo von Disney+! 3x time Olympic medalist Danell Leyva and Monica tells us about their time attending the annual Golden Globes and the other parties, including Gold Meets Golden, which helps raise money for Angel City Sports. Danell tells us what it was like to meet Armie Hammer at this event in the past. Danell and Monica talk about their experience of Danell nearly poisoning Monica with what could essentially be considered dog food. They talk about what it was like meeting actors such as Taron Edgerton, Matt Bomer, Nyle DiMarco, Ben Platt, and Ginnifer Goodwin with husband Josh Dallas. They also tell us the story of how Danell was nearly taken out by Nicole Kidman's security guard. The two then go on to discuss how they nearly got into a Netflix party with a single email, and how to find the best parties during LA's award show weekends. I'm so thankful for my incredible audience and I hope you enjoy! We're back to the Merry Marvel Movie March with more stylized violence in 2015's "Kingsman: The Secret Service", from a lot of the same people who brought us "Kick-Ass"! Between Taron Egerton and the threat of traumatic dog deaths, Tony has a lot to say. And as with all movies, Charlie had some problems with this - but was it enough to ruin his rating?

"The situation in Sweden must be real bad as even lice have begun to emigrate to America." It's time for our first 2017 Listener's Choice episode! Pony Prize winner Finn Frode, who's from Norway but living in Sweden, won and selected a Swedish film with one of his favorite Norwegian actresses – Liv Ullmann. The film he selected is the first half of Jan Troell's epic tale of immigration – 1971's The Emigrants. Join us – Pete Wright and Andy Nelson – as we dig into our latest listener's choice film. We talk about the importance of the film in Sweden and how the books upon which it's based are perceived there. We discuss the nature of this film and how it's quite powerful, but at the same time a difficult film to watch due to its filming style, the story it's telling and its duration. We chat about the actors – notably Max Von Sydow and Ullmann – and what they're bringing to the table. And we hit on the strange and discordant music and how it works in a film like this. It's a great film and certainly put us both in a place where we were ready to watch the follow-up. So check out this movie then tune in! The trailer seems to tell two stories, but perhaps one of those is just the actual film's prologue? Who knows but it looks nuts, and don't expect any help from the terrible synopses written on IMDb or Wikipedia. I think I want to see this just to see if it's as much a mess as this trailer makes it look." Pete's Trailer: Bright — "Yeah, I didn't need to see the trailer after I'd read that Taron Edgerton would be playing the first Orc cop, but then I watched it. Did you catch Noomi in blue (skin)? Another hot Netflix get for December."
