Clay Melton They live and breathe the fiery swagger of electric guitars and the irresistible allure of rhythm-soaked sounds. That's Clay Melton's musical calling in a nutshell. At only 29, the Louisiana-born and Texas-based rocker has already spent 14 years performing live. His powerfully raspy voice and wicked guitar licks leave no doubt he's grown up in the school of barroom blues-rock. Clay's 2022 release, Live in Texas, which includes ten original songs and one cover, was spun on more than 160 radio stations in the U.S. and abroad. His riveting cover of ZZ Top's Jesus Just Left Chicago, climbed to the #1 song in the world on the Roots Music Blues Rock chart in June 2022. The album boasts production and engineering credits by 5-time Grammy winner Malcolm Harper (The Black Keys, Mary J. Blige, Keith Urban and many others) as well as Clay himself. Live in Texas is Melton's follow-up to 2021's critically acclaimed release, Back to Blue, where the title track also climbed to the # 1 song in the world on Roots Music Blues Rock chart, and the album climbed to #9. Clay Melton is quickly establishing himself as a rising star, having played world-famous venues such as Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, opening for Grand Funk Railroad on the Chevrolet Main Stage at the State Fair of Texas, and sharing the stage with Sir Earl Toon, of Kool & The Gang fame. Past credits also include opening for blues-legend Robert Cray and platinum-selling artists Chris Daughtry and Night Ranger. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This album is an amazing collaboration between Billy Idol, Guitarist Steve Stevens and Famed producer Keith Forsey. Born William Michael Albert Board, Billy Idol began his music career as the front Man for the punk band Generation X, formed shortly after he dropped out of Sussex University in 1976. Rebel Yell's a hard rockin album with its roots in Punk and a huge american rock influence. Given that he spent a good portion of his childhood living in the states, it's obvious American Rock cuts through the punk and delivers incredible hits, with the non hits not too far behind. For the fans of our sound clips, the Jerky boys are all over this episode. Enjoy!!Support the show

HELLO METAL HEADS- Tonight we present the second installment of our new series ROC N ROLL DETENTION ,as we are peeling back all the layers of the often overlooked ,but highly respected band BADLANDS. BADLANDS was an American heavy metal band founded by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee, former Black Sabbath members Ray Gillen (vocals) and Eric Singer (drums), as well as former Surgical Steel bass player Greg Chaisson. After the first Badlands album, Eric Singer was replaced by Jeff Martin. The group lasted from 1988 to 1993 and released three albums. Badlands (1989) and Voodoo Highway (1991) were released before Gillen left and was replaced by singer John West from New York. Gillen's death in 1993 effectively ended any hopes of reuniting the project. The album Dusk (a demo recorded in 1992–93) was released in 1998 with the then-deceased Gillen on vocals. Metal Walt and Ian O'Rourke guide you on this episode as the two share their reflections on the two releases, what the music meant to them and the impact the band had on the rock landscape in the late 80's and early 90's. Another example of a great unique conversation filled with in-depth antidotes and disclosures found only here at Metal Mayhem ROC Thank you for the support and remember to always KEEP IT HEAVY!! Collective Soul's Will TurpinIt's an honor for the BoatCast to welcome Will Turpin (bass/backup vocals) of Collective Soul to the podcast. He shares his excitement about playing the upcoming Let's Go Music Festival and relives his memories of the Rock Boat. Collective Soul is an iconic American Rock band of the early 90s who have not only released 4 platinum records but also won multiple Billboard music awards. Will leads off by talking about how the band has evolved and how they continue to take so much pride in making sure they are the most reputable live rock band they can be. Will, whose father Bill was a lifelong musician and founder of Real 2 Reel Studios in Jonesboro, GA, truly understands the power of music. After Will's father passed in late 2018, he went on to co-own his father's studio and takes deep pride in that endeavor. It's also amazing to hear the history of the studio, as Ed Roland (lead singer) and Collective Soul essentially originated from this studio. Will tells another amazing story about how he was in a pizza shop with Jett and Ryan of Sister Hazel when they told him about how they were going to charter 1/2 a boat. Will remembered thinking how cool the idea was but "had no idea it would turn into the franchise and the juggernaut that is now The Rock Boat". He talks about how much he and the band enjoyed their experiences on the Rock Boat and how they still have life-long friendships with people they met on the boat.Let's Go Music Fest 2023!Collective Soul will be a headliner at Let's Go Festival on Friday June 2nd in Crownsville, MD with LIVE and Filter! The BoatCast will surely be there for this amazing event and would love for others to come out and join us! This week on Zen Perry Project, Zen sits down with Duane Betts for one of the prolific singer-songwriter-guitarist's most extensive interviews to date! An adept musician even at a young age, Duane cut his teeth as a teen regularly sitting-in with his father Dickey in The Allman Brothers Band. After moving to Southern California and leading rock outfits Backbone69 and Whitestarr, Betts spent nearly a decade playing guitar alongside his father in the group Great Southern. Duane also performed as a touring guitarist for folk-rockers Dawes and was a member of the supergroup Jamtown with G. Love, Donovan Frankenreiter, and Cisco Adler. In 2018, Betts released his debut album, Sketches of American Music, and toured as a guest of the Devon Allman Project. At year's end, Duane and Devon formed The Allman Betts Band along with Berry D. Oakley, son of the late Allman Brothers Band founding bassist Berry Oakley. The group issued two albums- 2019's Down to the River and 2020's Bless Your Heart- before announcing a hiatus in 2022. Betts reflects not only on his upbringing amongst rock and roll royalty and how his extensive experiences have shaped the artist he is today - but delves into his recording process (his second solo album is set for release this summer!), reminisces about his musical inspirations, and looks forward to how he aims to proudly carry his family's legacy into the future. Welcome to Episode 55 of The Great Deception Podcast where I had the honor of speaking with Matthew Smith, master architect of yurt designs. Matthew hit straight in my heart when he wanted to talk 1893 Chicago World Fair and the book 'Spectacle in the White City'. From there it lead us to a discussion on free energy, etheric & telluric, and its role in architecture in buildings like cathedrals and star forts. Matthew showed us the 1898 Uriah Cummings book 'American Cement' and shared his experience with American Rock Cement in the Rosendale, NY caves. We discuss the Smithsonian Castle and its architect Adolph Cluss, a friend of Karl Marx. We wrap up discussing the systematic destruction of infrastructure in the 1800s and Matthew shows us some amazing images from the book 'Braun/Hogenberg, Cities of the World - Complete Edition of the Colour Plates 1572-1617' and so much more. https://www.rosendalecement.net/html/partial_listing_of_buildings-n.HTM Please leave a review and share the show!
