As a society, the narrative that thin = healthy and happy, fat = unhealthy and unhappy, and that pursuing weight loss = taking care of ourselves is strong. But who says this is true and that we need to listen?Diet culture influences our thoughts and behaviours everyday. And in a society that is constantly telling us we need to change, it is hard to respect and accept our bodies if we are subtly being influenced by diet culture and unaware of it. In this episode we are fortunate to be joined by Registered Dietitian Brenna O'Malley from @thewellful who shares her knowledge and wisdom on diet culture - what is it, how we can notice it and what we can do about it.Find Brenna's website here.Remember to join our community here and together let's change the conversation around food. You can also follow us on Instagram - @whatdoieat.thepodcastMonica - @monicafenwicknutritionNadia - @nadiafelschFull show notes on our website.
