You know the feeling. You're exhausted… but you slept. You're showing up… but not fully there. You're doing everything “right”… but something still feels off.And at some point, you stopped questioning it.You started explaining it away.“This is just life right now.”“This is what happens when you're a mom.”“I just need more rest.”But what if that's not true?In this episode, we're talking about the difference between knowing something isn't right… and actually deciding to do something about it.Because the truth is, most women already know. They just haven't made the decision yet. We're diving into:Why symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, and lack of clarity aren't randomHow your gut and brain connection impacts how you feel every single dayAnd what shifts when you stop settling… and start supporting your body from the foundationThis isn't about doing more. It's about deciding differently.Because you will never feel ready. But you can decide. Thanks for listening! Text us a comment or question! What if the biggest reason you feel tired, sluggish, and “older than you should”… has nothing to do with age - and everything to do with what's on your plate? In this eye-opening episode, I sit down with Axay Shah, a 66-year-old marathon runner who hasn't eaten cooked food in over 16 years.Yeah… you read that right.Axay believes that most of what we've been taught about food is flat-out wrong - and that the key to energy, longevity, and disease prevention lies in a raw, plant-based lifestyle. Now, whether you agree with him or not… this conversation will challenge your thinking. We dive into:Why he gave up cooked food entirelyWhat actually happens when you switch to raw foodsHis take on protein (and why he thinks it's overhyped)What he eats in a typical dayAnd how he's able to run marathons well into his 60s This isn't about telling you to go 100% raw…It's about opening your eyes to what might actually be holding you back. What You'll LearnThe real reason Axay ditched cooked food—and never looked backWhy he believes most people are low-energy (and it's NOT aging)The surprising truth about “dead food” vs “living food”His 5 rules for eating (and living) with more energyWhy most people are confused about protein—and what actually mattersHow to think differently about food, fuel, and your bodyThe mindset shift that can change your health in the second half of life
Hey babe… I know, I know—the scale feels personal. Like it's judging you, deciding your mood, telling you who you are that day. But hear me out: it's not. And this episode is going to completely shift how you see it.This one is pulled straight from my 21 Day Challenge: Lose 10 Pounds While Life Is Life—and we're diving into one of the biggest mindset shifts that will change your weight loss journey forever. The scale is neutral. Yep. Just data. Not your worth. Not your effort. Not your identity. And when you really get this? Everything gets easier. We're talking about how your brain has been trained to make the number mean something about you (spoiler: it's not true), and how to take your power back so you can stop the emotional rollercoaster and actually stay consistent.Because babe—this is how you lose weight for the last time.In this episode, you'll hear:- Why the scale is just measuring gravitational pull (and nothing more)- The real reason the number triggers you (hint: it's your thoughts, not the scale)- How to stop spiraling into shame, frustration, or “what's wrong with me?”- Why weighing daily can actually help you (yes, really)- How to use the scale as data instead of drama- The simple mindset shift to decide your mood BEFORE you step on the scale- Why your weight loss graph is supposed to go up and down (that's normal!)- How to stop letting one number ruin your entire dayAnd we're going deeper, too:- Why “look back with love” matters more than beating yourself up- How to stop acting on every urge (especially sugar cravings)- Why food isn't meant to be your source of pleasure, relief, or fun- How to plan your weekends so you don't spiral into a free-for-all- What your future self is trying to tell you right nowBabe, this is your reminder: nothing outside of you gets to decide how you feel. Not the scale. Not your bank account. Not your kid's tantrum. Not anything. You decide. And if you're ready to build a weight loss plan that actually works for YOU (not some one-size-fits-all nonsense), come join me for my free peptide webinar where we'll map out your custom toolbox:
Do you love your partner… but feel more like roommates? Most of your conversations are about:schedulesresponsibilitiesgetting through the dayAnd somewhere along the way… the connection, intimacy, and fun start to fade.If this sounds familiar, you're not alone. In this episode, we break down what many couples experience—but don't always talk about:
Verse 1]Down by Boston's old City HallThree proud poles stood straight and tallOne for the nation, one for the stateOne where the people could celebrateYear after year they let flags rise highMany were welcomed against the skyThen Harold Shurtleff came with his group one dayAnd the city told them no, not that way[Verse 2]Harold wasn't asking to break their rulesWasn't bringing anger, wasn't playing foolsJust wanted a moment, peaceful and fairTo let their Christian flag fly in the airThey'd opened that place to many beforeBut suddenly closed that same open doorAnd what made the difference, plain to seeWas the message of faith and identity[Chorus]And nine to nothing the Supreme Court saidYou can't crown one voice and leave one for deadIf you open the square to the public callYou can't shut out faith while welcoming allFrom that city breeze to this heart of mineFreedom still lives in that ruling lineWhen the law stands strong and the truth breaks throughNine to nothing, the Constitution spoke true[Verse 3]The justices looked at the way things ranAt the flags approved, at the city's planSo many voices had been allowedDifferent causes, different crowdsIt wasn't Boston speaking aloneThat third pole wasn't just city-ownedAnd government can choose its words, that's trueBut not silence belief for its point of view[Verse 4]So this was more than a flag unfurledIt spoke to the rights of the American worldFor churches and neighbors and civic menFor anyone shut outside the penIt means when the public door swings wideThe law won't let prejudice slip insideNo second-class rights for the weak or smallThe First Amendment belongs to us all[Bridge]It doesn't mean every case is the sameOr every flagpole must bear each nameBut when a city invites us nearIt can't deny one voice out of fearThat's why this victory still runs deepIt's a promise the people can hold and keepEqual treatment under the skyThat's the kind of freedom that never dies[Final Chorus]And nine to nothing let history showOne man stood firm and the whole land knowRights mean more when they're held for allNot just the safe ones that never cause callsFrom courthouse stone to the backroad signsThis victory echoes through modern timesFor the faithful, the quiet, the strong, the fewNine to nothing, the Constitution spoke true[Outro]Yeah, nine to nothing, freedom shinedAnd equal justice still draws the lineCamp Constitution is a New Hampshire based charitable trust. This episode kicks off exactly how you'd expect from a funny podcast that thrives on oversharing — with Riz prepping for his wife's colonoscopy like it's a full-blown live event. We're talking guest room exile, filming post-anesthesia nonsense, and somehow comparing medical procedures to oil changes. Because of course we are. From there, the show spirals into a nostalgia-fueled rabbit hole of “things from the past that would absolutely break us today” — including:Waiting in line for a payphoneDial-up internet destroying your household peacePhysically going to the bank like some kind of pilgrimDownloading a single song for half a dayAnd the true trauma: no save points in old video gamesBasically, if you survived the ‘90s, congrats — you earned today's convenience.Clownvis Presley (yes, that's real, no we won't explain it again) joins the studio and instantly brings the weird energy up to acceptable Rizz Show levels. There's talk of him standing motionless in parking lots like a haunted Elvis statue (which… honestly tracks), plus hype for his upcoming Oddballs & Outlaws Tour, hitting St. Louis at Red Flag.Meanwhile, Rafe is fully spiraling over a stacked Willie Nelson show lineup — and plotting ways to sneak onto Willie's tour bus like it's a low-budget heist movie. The crew continues their 90s movie bracket, and it gets personal:Dumb and Dumber vs Office Space (rude matchup)Tommy Boy vs Austin Powers (illegal to choose)Something About Mary vs Mrs. Doubtfire (childhood vs comedy chaos)Big Lebowski vs Groundhog Day (existential crisis edition)Everyone argues like their childhood depends on it — because it kinda does. The show's signature game returns, and it's a rollercoaster:One round goes completely off the rails (shocking no one)Another round magically connects “doctor” and “hoodie” into “lab coat” like some kind of psychic miracleMultiple moments where the audience is definitely yelling at their radiosIt's the perfect mix of “we got this” and “we absolutely do not got this.”Riz debuts a new game pulling tiny sounds from songs, forcing everyone to guess the track and artist — which turns into:ConfusionAccidental brillianceAnd at least one moment where someone somehow nails it and everyone else gets madStandard operating procedure.Because this is a daily comedy show, we also acknowledge:National Cocktail Day
Most of your life is going to feel… repetitive.Wake up. Work. Eat. Train. Sleep. Repeat. And if you're not careful, you'll start to believe something is wrong with that.In this episode, I break down why that feeling exists—and why it's misleading. We talk about:Why movies distort your expectations of lifeThe difference between monotony and meaninglessnessHow to actually enjoy the ordinary parts of your dayAnd why the “boring” parts are where your life is really builtThis isn't about forcing positivity. It's about learning to see what's already there.

More One Order Arrested — Pro-Maduro Motorcycle Gangs Hunt Trump SupportersToday on Black Dragon Biker TV, we're breaking down three very different biker-related stories happening across the globe — from Canada, to Venezuela, to right here at home — and what they reveal about power, perception, and purpose on two wheels. More One Order MC Arrests in CanadaIf you want to run with the big dogs, you pick up big fleas — and it appears One Order MC in Canada has finally attracted the full attention of law enforcement.Police in Edmonton have laid charges against nine more men as part of a long-running investigation into an alleged organized crime group that expanded west after establishing itself out east. Authorities have publicly displayed seized colors and evidence, signaling that One Order's push toward a hardened outlaw image has come with serious consequences. We'll break down:Why these arrests matterHow organized-crime cases are built over timeWhat happens when clubs chase notorietyAnd what this means for the Canadian MC landscape Venezuela: Pro-Maduro Motorcycle Gangs Take to the StreetsMeanwhile in Caracas, armed pro-Maduro motorcycle gangs—often referred to as colectivos—have reportedly taken control of neighborhoods following the U.S. capture of dictator Nicolás Maduro.According to multiple reports, these militant bike groups are hunting down Venezuelans believed to support the U.S. action or former President Trump, setting up checkpoints, intimidating civilians, and enforcing regime loyalty through fear. We'll discuss:Who these motorcycle militias really areHow bikes are being used as tools of political enforcementThe dangers of armed biker groups aligned with state powerAnd what separates outlaw culture from government-sanctioned violence️ Back Home: MC Steps Up for the CommunityFinally, we'll highlight a powerful reminder of what motorcycle clubs can be when purpose outweighs ego.A local motorcycle club in Ohio has stepped up to pay off outstanding school lunch debts for Clinton-Massie students, ensuring kids aren't punished or embarrassed over unpaid balances. We'll talk about:Why stories like this rarely get mainstream attentionHow MCs quietly support their communities every dayAnd why giving back is just as much a part of biker culture as riding

In this episode, we travel back to the summer of 1942 in Pascagoula, Mississippi — a warm coastal town where people slept with their windows open to catch the night breeze. But that summer, something else moved in the dark.A figure slipped into homes while families slept. Not to steal valuables. Not to leave a message. But to quietly cut a single lock of hair from the heads of sleeping residents.Newspapers called him The Phantom Barber. What began as a disturbing curiosity soon escalated into fear, panic, and eventually violence — leaving behind a trail of rumors, false arrests, and unanswered questions that still haunt Pascagoula's history. In this episode, we explore:The eerily calm early intrusions that first brought attention to the caseHow wartime anxiety and rumor fueled public paranoiaThe escalation from hair-cutting intrusions to physical assaultThe controversial trial that may have convicted the wrong manWhy the case remains unsolved to this dayAnd what this story reveals about fear, community, and the shadows we create when answers are out of reachThis is one of the strangest unsolved cases in American true crime — part folklore, part noir mystery, part haunting.Resources & ReferencesLocal Pascagoula newspaper archives (1942–1943)“The Phantom Barber” coverage in The Jackson Clarion-LedgerCity of Pascagoula historical crime registryWPA and wartime civilian fear research notesConnect with From The VoidInstagram: @fromthevoidpodX / Twitter: @fromthevoidpodWebsite: fromthevoidpod.comIf you enjoyed the episode, leaving a review or sharing it with a friend helps the show reach new listeners.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/from-the-void-podcast1430/exclusive-content

Bridget is an award-winning journalist and author, as well as the director of the Better Life Lab at New America. For decades, she's been at the forefront of investigating the dynamics of workplace culture, time use, and gender equity. Her latest book, Overwork: Transforming the Daily Grind in the Quest for a Better Life, offers a powerful look into how our current systems are failing us and what we might do to change that.In our conversation today, we'll unpack several key issues:The impossible balancing act between being the “ideal worker” and the “ideal caregiver”The systemic challenges that working parents—especially women—face every dayAnd how businesses and policies can evolve to create more humane, productive work environmentsBridget's impressive background includes more than two decades at the Washington Post, where she honed a journalist's eye for detail and a passionate commitment to justice. She doesn't just highlight problems; she provides actionable solutions for transforming how we think about work, care, and the immense potential of human collaboration. Before we jump into this conversation, let's take a moment to acknowledge Women's History Month! I have a special message to everyone who supports this movement for change: We want more than a thank you or a shout out once a year.To our spouses and partners listening—please, make the invisible workload visible and share the load. if you don't know what the invisible workload is, go look it up. And when you look after the kids please don't call it babysitting, you are parenting your kids.To the employers and business leaders out there—show us your commitment to paid family leave, flexible scheduling, and support for caregivers. Track and share your data on employee pay by gender, race, and job category. And to our public officials and candidates—please move beyond telling us you love your mom or your sister. You're supposed to love your mom! Let us know your concrete plans and policies that center women's lives and needs.A huge thank you to all who are part of this change. Today and all month long, we celebrate the progress we've made and the work that still lies ahead.I'm also excited to share that Family Friendly New Mexico is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with an event featuring none other than Bridget Schulte herself. As part of their annual awards luncheon at Sandia Resort & Casino on April 30, Bridget will be coming to New Mexico to share her insights on building workplaces that truly work for families. With companies recognized for their innovative approaches to family-friendly practices, this event promises to be a catalyst for change. For more details, check out familyfriendlym.org. Jeremiah 31:27-40 27 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast. 28 As I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to overthrow, to destroy and to bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,” declares the Lord. 29 “In those days they will not say again,‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes,And the children's teeth are set on edge.' 30 But everyone will die for his own iniquity; each man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be set on edge. 31 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” 35 Thus says the Lord,Who gives the sun for light by dayAnd the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The Lord of hosts is His name:36 “If this fixed order departsFrom before Me,” declares the Lord,“Then the offspring of Israel also will ceaseFrom being a nation before Me forever.” 37 Thus says the Lord, “If the heavens above can be measuredAnd the foundations of the earth searched out below,Then I will also cast off all the offspring of IsraelFor all that they have done,” declares the Lord. 38 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the city will be rebuilt for the Lord from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. 39 The measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah. 40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the Lord; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.” --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/maranatha-ministries/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/maranatha-ministries/support
I hated my business in 2022.You may have had a similar feeling, but haven't felt comfortable saying it. So let me tell you a story…When I started my business in 2017, I wanted time and freedom. That was my number one goal. What happened? My business SCALED AND BLEW UP FAST in 2020 & 2021 (yes, during the pandemic). That goal of “time and freedom” turned into just doing the most:Bi-weekly eventsGoing on Facebook and IG live every dayAND having meals with my phone and laptopAnd, of course, after 2 years of doing all the things, I burned out. I was SO burned out that I would cry randomly throughout the day.I'm not here to call you out, I'm here to call you into yourself so you can stop using the addiction of working all the time to acknowledge and start taking steps to create a more aligned LIFE.To put your life first and figure out how to realign your business around it.What We Cover in This Episode: Understand what you want out of your life.Consider therapy, especially EMDR, to address personal blocks affecting your business.Reassess your life goals and business activities – do more of what lights you up.Ensure your business aligns with your personal life and goals. If you would like to see how to work with me to create a more sustainable life where you can be more present with yourself and create your own checklist of success that's not created by society and loved ones, then schedule a complimentary legacy business and career review at elainelou.com/callRelated Podcast EpisodesEpisode 11. In today's episode, I interviewed a good friend and fellow mama, Laika Ottinot. Laika had her daughter, Erica, at the height of COVID-19, and in her story, she shares the pure joy of meeting her daughter after three miscarriages. She also shared why she advocated for 24 weeks of Maternity Leave for herself and was granted the opportunity.Laika works in a NYC hospital's open heart surgery department and doesn't get scheduled breaks during surgery, so she also worked with her boss to get better pumping conditions than having to race to the bathroom!! Laika is a true inspiration! After listening to her, I hope you feel fueled to fight for your post-partum rights. You Will Also Hear: How shockingly painful breastfeeding was in the beginning. (Sore nipples) super pumping because she wasn't the mom with a freezer stash How she pumped on the way to work sometimes How un-supportive the nurses were of her pumping The power of the doula in postpartum How Laika ultimately found breastfeeding to be BLISS It's okay to be the mom that DOESN'T do everything Moms should get time for themselves on Mother's DayAnd so much more! You can find Laika on Instagram at: @anaturaljourney [https://www.instagram.com/anaturaljourney/]Thank you so much for listening. Let's face it: there are days when you just don't feel like getting things done. On those days, what are the thoughts that can move you forward when you don't feel motivated?Valorie is sharing a simple yet valuable tool on how we can keep moving forward on those days when we can't seem to get out of bed. Sharing a story from her father, sometimes momentum starts with just getting your feet on the ground. Learning that sometimes your feelings are not 'the truth', perhaps you need to consider honoring the actions that will take you to where you know you want to go. And if we do this, a pre-determined intentional action, we give our feelings time to catch up.Take writing, for example: rather than sit around waiting to feel inspired to start writing, take the action of sitting down to write. And surely, inspiration will follow! There's also advice on taking a gratitude break, knowing when to phone a friend, and how to be intentional about cultivating positive emotions that will all help move the needle for you on those days when you simply don't want to move at all! All of this inspiring content is presented with Valorie's warmth and authenticity in an episode of Successful Women Think Differently that everyone will surely be able to relate to. Please join us."Our feelings are honest. But they're not necessarily the truth." ~ Valorie BurtonIn This Episode:- Understanding that our feelings are honest, but not necessarily "the truth"- Honoring how we feel – and then the action above that- Learning how to lower the bar and shift our expectations- When we take action, we cause our feelings to shift- Cultivating positive emotion to shift your perspective- The importance of taking a Gratitude Break- Knowing when to call a friend for some reflection on what you're going through- Knowing when it's okay to take a personal dayAnd so much more!Connect with Valorie Burton:- Check out all of Valorie's books here- https://valorieburton.com/books/ - Website - https://valorieburton.com/ - Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/valorieburton/ - LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/valorieburton/ - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/valorieburton/ - YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@valorieburton

Breaking barriers to weight loss can be challenging for many people, as it involves more than just physical exercise and dieting. It also requires a shift in mindset.
