We are in a series with my dear friend, Annie Rohde, where we are taking you on a journey of disovering what it looks like to slow down and truly experience your life and step into where God has you in this season. In Episode 106, we talked about practicing sabbath on a really practical level and shared our experiences (go back and catch that episode if you missed it!). In this episode, we discuss the concept of co-laboring with God, arguing that work is a gift from God intended to give our lives meaning and purpose. We emphasize the difference between working from a place of obligation, fear, or shame, and working from a place of joy and abundance, grounded in an understanding of God's love. We also explore the detrimental effects of hustle mentality, and encourage listeners to tune into the Holy Spirit's guidance in their daily tasks. They reflect on the Bible's portrayal of work, the need for rest and heart-care, and the importance of detaching self-worth from achievements.
