Msgr. Esseff reflects on the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and what death really means. Reading 21 COR 15:20-27 Brothers and sisters: Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through man, the resurrection of the dead came also through man. For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life, but each one in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his coming, those who belong to Christ; then comes the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has destroyed every sovereignty and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death, for “he subjected everything under his feet.” The post The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Building a Kingdom of Love with Msgr. Chandeliers made of human bones… and that's just the beginning.Beneath a quiet Gothic church in Sedlec, Czech Republic, lies one of the world's most haunting works of art—the Sedlec Ossuary. Here, the remains of over 40,000 people have been transformed into macabre masterpieces: bone pyramids, skull-lined walls, and skeletal chandeliers that drip with history… and tragedy. Some skulls still bear bullet holes, silent witnesses to centuries of violence. Pulse Check! Anna and Dre are alive and finally back in the same city in a studio. They catch us up on everything going on in the last two months since they last saw each other. Between travels, work gigs and some mental clarity…there's a lot of updates and definitely a must listen if you've been missing your girlies. Anna is the proud owner of a, yea, you should already know, a Labubu. Dre is featured in the new “Trainwreck: Storm Area 51” documentary on Netflix. And even though cuffing season is nowhere in sight, there's a diabolical amount of unexpected couples hard launching. Plus are we getting dumber as a society or is AI just getting really really good??? Hear how Dre keeps getting tricked by AI generated videos. ‘Freakier Friday' is out in theaters and ‘Devil Wears Prada 2' is currently filming, but why do we feel like we know everything about the movie? Should we sue the paparazzi for spoiling all these sequels? It's getting out of hand. Thanks for all your messages and love while we were doing some show housekeeping. Follow us on Instagram …there'll be updates on the next episode released. And of course keep up with your big wigs Anna & Dre for more content. Love yasssss

Today on The Run-Through with Vogue, we bring you an episode from The New Yorker's podcast, Critics at Large.Audiences have been bemoaning the death of the romantic comedy for years, but the genre persists—albeit often in a different form from the screwballs of the nineteen-forties or the “chick flicks” of the eighties and nineties. On this episode of Critics at Large, Vinson Cunningham, Naomi Fry, and Alexandra Schwartz discuss their all-time favorite rom-coms and two new projects marketed as contemporary successors to the greats: Celine Song's “Materialists” and Lena Dunham's “Too Much.” Do these depictions of modern love—or at least the search for it—evoke the same breathless feeling as the classics do? “I wonder if the crisis in rom-coms has to do with a crisis in how adult women want to be or want to see themselves,” Schwartz says. “I think both of these projects are basically trying to speak to the fact that everyone's ideals are in question.”Read, watch, and listen with the critics:“Sex, Love, and the State of the Rom-Com” (The New Yorker)“Materialists” (2025)“Too Much” (2025)“Working Girl” (1988)“You've Got Mail” (1998)“When Harry Met Sally” (1989)“Love & Basketball” (2000)“The Best Man” (1999)“Our Romance with Jane Austen” (The New Yorker)“Girls” (2012-17)“Adam's Rib” (1949)New episodes drop every Thursday. What does it take to keep living—and loving—after the unimaginable? This is a conversation about loss—but even more, it's about love, resilience, and the courage to keep saying yes to life. In this powerful episode, I sit down with Betsy Thibaut Stephenson—a seasoned crisis communications expert, mother of three, and author of the memoir, Blackbird: A Mother's Reflections on Grief, Loss, and Life After. In 2022, Betsy's world was shattered by a six-week wave of devastating loss, including the death of her 21-year-old son, Charlie, to suicide. What followed wasn't a quest to “move on,” but a conscious decision to live honestly, feel everything, and find meaning in the aftermath. We talk about the lie's depression tells, the complexity of navigating family grief, and the deeply personal stories we craft in order to survive. Betsy shares what it means to relearn how to feel, to hold space for discomfort, and to open up to healing—one small “yes” at a time. We also explore how spiritual growth, self-compassion, and even anxiety can become part of the long, often nonlinear path to peace. Disclaimer: This episode contains sensitive discussion around suicide, grief, and mental health. Please listen with care. If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. Next, we turn to the entertainment world to celebrate Gina Carano's victory in her legal battle over her firing from Disney's The Mandalorian. The Language of Play - Kids that Listen, Speech Therapy, Language Development, Early Intervention
Hey Friends~ When we talk to our kids, we use words that represent whole concepts all the time. We do it so spontaneously that it's difficult to communicate without using such words. When our kids don't have a good repertoire of concept - type words, it makes it difficult for them to do as told, express themselves, or deliver a message, accurately. Today we discuss what concept words are, why they are important AND what you can do to increase understanding at home! This is the fun part! You don't need flashcards. You don't need apps. You already have everything you need to teach these words—just by playing, talking, and living life with your child. I am going to call attention to what you already have and know… so that you can be intentional when you are teaching them. Always cheering you on! we learn to approach the Bible with a fresh question: “What does this story reveal about God?” Rather than simply asking how Scripture applies to us personally, this lens helps us see God’s character shining through even in stories of human failure. From Adam and Eve’s exile to Cain’s punishment, God’s consistent compassion and provision stand out—clothing, protecting, and covering His people despite their sin. This understanding invites us to trust God’s faithful, loving nature and approach Him with confidence, even when we’ve messed up. ✨ Highlights The transformative question: “What does this reveal about God?” changes how we read Scripture Examples of God’s love and provision despite sin: Clothing Adam and Eve after their exile (Genesis 3:21) Marking Cain for protection after killing Abel (Genesis 4:15) God’s justice balanced with compassion—He allows consequences but continues to care and cover Encouragement to bring this understanding into your personal faith journey—God’s character hasn’t changed

Send us a textWhat if the secret to great parenting wasn't found in perfect discipline strategies or elaborate educational plans, but in simply showing up? Tyler White, BDR with Akkodis and host of the Timeout with Leaders podcast, brings a refreshingly authentic perspective to fatherhood that will make you rethink your approach to family leadership.Growing up as the son of a high school football coach, Tyler learned early that commitments weren't optional—they were sacred. "The word commitment was like the real C-word in my family," he shares with a laugh. This foundation shaped him profoundly, but it's his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Ella who's teaching him the most valuable lessons now. Watching her play with zero expectations has awakened his inner child and reminded him that sometimes the best leadership happens when we let go of control. The conversation takes powerful turns as Tyler recounts meeting his wife in sixth-grade church group, losing touch for twenty years, and then reconnecting through Facebook to build a beautiful family together. He vulnerably shares his growth areas as a dad, particularly in fully appreciating the challenges his wife faces as a stay-at-home mom. "Really understanding how much effort and energy that takes out of somebody and always remembering that," he reflects, is his ongoing work.Perhaps most compelling is Tyler's story about learning service from a colleague who drove twenty hours to help someone move without seeking recognition. "When you tell people about your serving, the grace is gone," the colleague explained—a principle that transformed Tyler's approach to both business and fatherhood. His three guiding principles—show up consistently, serve without expectations, and don't take yourself too seriously—offer a powerful framework for any dad looking to strengthen their family leadership.Whether you're a new father finding your footing or a seasoned dad seeking renewed purpose, this conversation will inspire you to embrace the joy of fatherhood without the pressure of perfection.
