Music can uplift us. It can comfort us. It can bring tears of joy and tears of sadness. It's connected to some of our most cherished and profound memories. And, it can help us heal.Scott Howard left corporate America to write, produce and sing a unique form of music using the frequency of 432 Hz, which is the frequency for healing. Little did he know that a few short years later, that music would help him on his own healing journey when his 29-year old son unexpectedly went to Spirit. From his paranormal experiences to the healing potential of music at the correct frequency, join Scott and me for a fascinating conversation where we talked about:The photographic evidence he received 3 days after his son went to SpiritHis awakeningThe things he saw on the “trip” he took - without any drugsWhat he saw in the cloudsHis journey from corporate America to creating a new genre of musicWhy we must raise our frequency right nowHow the switch to 440 Hz music by the Germans in WWII affected (and continues to affect) humanityWhat happens to digital pictures that doesn't happen with filmHow the Angel numbers he sees has changedHow he writes his musicWhy he believes we're all masters of survivalWhat he does with his runaway thoughts (we all have them!)What happens when the Angels realize you're listening to themWhat scared him when he saw three beings standing up in the SunWhat he believes his Soul mission isHow frequency helps the brain healHis clothing line - and the surprise incorporated into each pieceWhy it's so important to be careful with the words you use and what you signHis experience with the Blue Kachina in Utah in 2021 when the world was shut downScott gifted us by playing a beautiful song, Illusions of Life, on the episode. Better Presentations - More Sales : Helping you grow revenues by sharing enhanced in-person and virtual sales and presentatio

Great salespeople ask great questions and they are very good at carefully listening to the answers so here are 10 questions you can ask customers and prospects:How are you using the product/service you bought from us? - this opens up the opportunity for them to tell you about how good the product or services are and steer you towards something else that they need to supplement what they've already boughtAre there any parts of it you feel you're not using to its full potential? - again an opportunity to be helpful to ensure that the customer realises that you care that they are getting the best value from their investment in your product or service and of course an opportunity to add something to what they've already boughtDid you know we also do….? -  It's very easy to assume that current customers know everything that you have on offer – this is highly unlikely and therefore there is always the danger of saying to you when you start talking about a product or service – ‘I didn't know you did that if I had done I would have bought it from you'What are the product/services can I help you with? - a direct question really asking them what else can you sell themWhat needs to happen for you to buy from me? - this is a good question if you've got a keen customer but the order is just not getting signed off Who apart from yourself is involved in the buying process? -  a lot of sales time can be wasted pursuing the wrong person but this question assumes the person you are talking to is part of the buying process and invites them to confirm that and give you the names of others in that processAre you ready to place the order? - sometimes you have to ask direct questions to get things movingWhy do you buy from us? - the answer to this question can be very useful when planning marketing activity and it's one we don't in business probably ask often enoughWhat is your biggest challenge over the next three months? - a good general question which shows your interest in the organisation and one that most organisations would be happy to answer and of course the answers they give could well create opportunities for youWhy do you buy from us? - the answer to this question can be very useful when planning marketing activity and it's one we don't in business probably ask often enoughWhen you bought was there anything in the buying process that you we could do better? - it is usually only customers or potential customers who see the barriers in your sales process so use their experience of trying to buy from you to help identify those barriers and then ultimately get them removedAnd 2 questions to ask yourself:It is easier to sell to customers and prospects so why don't we do more selling to customers? With prospects how much focus are we putting on those who buy our type of product or service but from someone else?Techniques to get the most from when you ask questions:Don't interrupt when people are answeringListen carefully to the answersConfirm the answersUse the answer to ask your next questionBuild your position from the answers to create your opportunity

Unlike many of the profession who continue to preach out-of-date systems (methods) from the 1980s and 1990s he looks to the future. The way we buy and sell has undergone a radical shift in expectations and behaviours. What used to work often now seems hackneyed and artificial. JJ gets to the heart of current issues with his mentoring and shows clients and customers a better, more sustainable way to engage. The digital age, with new brain science, makes the old techniques appear false and forced. I hear push back from clients all the time about if spending their time writing customized resumes and cover letters is really worth it. Their past experiences tell them it isn’t, and I have to ask them to trust me. What they find is, learning to position themselves on paper is actually very rewarding, genuine and gets results. Compared to the average job searcher who sends out dozens of job applications, my clients, on average, only need to apply to two jobs before being offered an interview. And, maybe the best part is, when they get that interview offer they feel ready. The effort they put into their “paper” application prepares them to kill their interview and do so confidently. In this episode I’ll share:Why writing tailored resumes AND cover letters is worth the time investment in your job searchHow to identify resume-worthy achievements & write about themWhat a cover letter’s real purpose is and how to write one that stands outYou can find full show notes, a transcript + a FREE downloadable cheat sheet with template resume statements here: https://www.jenniferspoelma.com/podcast-feed/positioning-yourself-job-search

Highlights from the conversation:My concern is not the big brands, it's the numbered companies. It's the invisible number of companies that are dumping chemicals into our water because we've never heard of them, we can't control themWhat you say is inconsequential. The real story you're telling your people and the world is your action. But today, everything is transparent. We've gone from an opaque world to a transparent world, that transparency means that everything you're doing is part of your story.Often the cumulative impact is so staggering that people are shocked by what they're actually doing. Because We're so focused on quarterly reports and monthly and daily results. We don't ever take a step back to say, what happens if we succeed. We have a right to exist, if we're contributing. And I think that's a mind expanding way of thinking about business to say, you know, you have a responsibility in your existenceIt's what I call life-centred design, which really puts life at the centre and we start to think about how we sustain our living ecologies, how do we design them for perpetuity? How do we design ways of living, that aren't exhausting the ecologies that support us? More about Bruce “The wrong answer is the right answer looking for a different question.”Bruce Mau is a dazzlingly creative optimist whose love of thorny problems led him to imagine a new methodology for whole-system transformation. He’s a brilliant amalgam of designer, philosopher, curator, author, educator and visionary. It’s not nouns, though, that best explain what he does. It’s verbs. And what Bruce does best is provoke, invite, incite, lead, and dare us to think differently about the world of design—and the design of the world.A serial entrepreneur since the age of 9, he became an international figure with the publication of his landmark S,M,L,XL, designed and co-authored with Rem Koolhaas. Mau founded the Institute without Boundaries, a purpose-driven postgraduate design program at George Brown College in Toronto, and it’s there that he and his students co-created the groundbreaking exhibition and best-selling book, Massive Change. His “Incomplete Manifesto for Growth,” a 43-point declaration on sustaining a creative life, has been translated into 15 languages. He is the author of MC24, and co-founder and CEO of Massive Change Network, a holistic design collective based in Chicago. He is also the Chief Design Officer for Freeman, the pioneers in live brand experience.Across 30 years of design innovation, he’s collaborated with leading organizations, heads of state, entrepreneurs, renowned artists, and fellow optimists. He focuses on life-centered design, helping companies curate their truest work, and teaches both students and businesses how to articulate a positive and practical future. He’s designed social movements, brands, businesses, institutions and projects from sustainable carpets to a 1,000-year plan for the future of Mecca. He’s served as a Visiting Professor at institutions worldwide including the Getty Research Institute in California and the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, as the Cullinan Chair at Rice University, and was conferred a Distinguished Fellowship at Northwestern University. Mau is the recipient of The Design Mind Award from the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, AIGA gold Medal, and six honorary degrees. He was named an Honorary Royal Designer for Industry by the RSA, London. He travels the globe to lecture and consider architecture, art and film, conceptual philosophy, and “work as a beautiful experiment.” And always, his designs challenge us to imagine a more just and sustainable world. It is truly in person that the breadth of Bruce’s work reveals the core truth about him: he dives into everything with gleeful intent and a wildly contagious laugh. It’s this zest for connecting the world that brings out the best in people and projects, and resonates at home, too, in the life he shares with his wife Bisi Williams and three daughters in Winnetka, Illinois.Find Bruce here:LinkedInWebsiteBook Show NotesPeople:Naomi KleinCompanies and organisations:Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design MuseumRSA (Royal Society of Arts)McEwen School of Architecture at Laurentian UniversityMiscellaneous:MC24 (Book)How can you help? There are four ways you can help us out.Give us your thoughts. "How did having a closeted father impact you?" "How do you talk about queerness with your family?" "How do you talk about queerness with kids?" "How can we all be better at normalizing queerness?"On this episode, I interview Jimmy Larkin (he/him), a fellow actor and creator of the Instagram account "Let's Heart It For The Choice" which is sweeping musical theatre accounts across the nation. When Jimmy was younger, he was cast in the show Falsettos, a musical that centers a family dealing with a father who's a newly out gay man. It was at this same time Jimmy noticed his own father was hiding something and that there might be a reason his father loved coming to see the show every night. Jimmy and I discuss what it was like having a closeted father growing up and the shame he felt was passed on to him from his father. He says how it was apparent while he was coming out because he was living in a much freer and accepting world when his father was not able to. It wasn't until recently that Jimmy felt it was time to share his father's story with his family and others not just to finally free himself and his father of his secret, but also to continue to destigmatize being gay and the shame that surrounds it. Jimmy also works with kids regularly and shares how it is imperative for him to to teach kids and in turn their parents about queerness, the importance of identifying yourself, and being an ally to those who might be different from what they are taught is "the norm."We also discuss:Gay shame and the expectations of what being Gay isWhy the struggle to talk about our personal lives is the last bit of shame Queer people hold on toThe importance of listening to kids and asking them who and what they want to be as opposed to telling themWhat can parents do to keep their children safe but not squash their method of self-expression Gendering toysAnd...Best Christmas gifts that might not have been "boy gifts"Follow Jimmy and Let's Heart It For The Choice:Jimmy: https://www.instagram.com/jimmylarkin/LHIFTC: https://www.instagram.com/letshearitforthechoice/Southern Fried Queer Pride:Learn: http://www.southernfriedqueerpride.com/our-visionDonate: http://www.southernfriedqueerpride.com/donateResources for Further Learning: Pride and Pronouns--Talking with Kids about Pronouns and Gender: http://www.genderwheel.com/pride-and-pronouns/How to Talk to Kids About Gender: https://www.parents.com/kids/how-to-talk-to-kids-about-gender/Show Produced by Nick EiblerEdited by Addison McKissackTheme Song written by Matt Gregory, Colin Egan, and Mike Hubbard Produced by Colin Egan and Mike HubbardLogo Design by David Pavón

He has since transformed the small traditional firm on the south coast into a highly successful practice being acknowledged in the 2019 Accounting Excellence Top 5 small firm of the year awards by Accounting Web. Over the last 12 months, Reza has built a virtual coaching and mentoring business for other accounting firm owners to help them build more enjoyable, successful and profitable accounting firms. He has used social media extensively to build his reputation amongst the accountant community where he now has a large following – over 500 accountants in his Facebook group and every month nearly 100 accounting firm owners attend his mentoring sessions. I invited Reza onto the podcast to share his experience of helping entrepreneurs make better use of their management accounts. On the podcast we discuss:The key difference between an entrepreneur and a small business ownerHow your numbers help you look to the future and make decisions (rather than just reflecting on past achievements)How the numbers give you clues to the decisions and behaviour of your team membersHow often founders should be reviewing their management accountsWhy start-ups and scale-ups need to be extra diligentKey measures you need to pay attention to and why these are importantThe three most common challenges his start-up clients gave and the role an accountant plays in dealing with themWhat the most successful business owners have in common and do more than anyone elseThe pricing mistakes you need to avoid, and how to use pricing to drive your business decisions3 essential ingredients to building a high performing teamUseful links:Reza Hooda’s website Reza Hooda’s Facebook page Reza’s book, Transform Your Profits Through Price Reza’s LinkedIn profile Walji & Co YouTube channel

Hijackals, narcissists, and other toxic difficult people are mean. In tender moments, they make you feel safe to tell them your innermost secrets, insecurities, and vulnerabilities. Then, they turn those into weapons! They laugh at you, make jokes about your insecurities in front of others, and exploit your vulnerabilities to their advantage. Sound familiar? Hijackals want to have the upper hand at all times. Maybe, you share something that embarrassed you, or share something that scares you, or share something you are afraid of. It feels like a tender moment, and you SO want it to be the intimacy that you long for. You want that emotional closeness. It's what you've been waiting for. Imagine how they rub their hands with glee when you share something with them that puts you in a vulnerable light, or a bad light! They weaponize your insecurities and expose you, blame you, or shame you. They particularly like to do it in public when they hope you'll let it pass without speaking up. WHY? What's up with these people? This results from addiction to the reward-and-punishment peptides that the victim's brain formed during the course of the relationship. After over a decade of working with clients from all walks—as well as consoling fit pro’s—has taught me that the “You can do it!” rah rah approach doesn’t work, most of the time. This fact was also affirmed in my years of studying coaching, change psychology, behavior change, environmental sciences, pedagogy and communication. So what does work? It's simple. Having a better approach to coaching. Telling clients what to do and then saying, "they're not committed" when they don't do it doesn't solve your problem, it creates one. In this episode I share the insights that do solve it. I dive into everything from the language and communication style I use with my clients to get them the greatest results, to the five things you MUST do if you’re going to be the best coach, communicator and leader. If you're a coach in any capacity this is a must listen. Let's go. IN THIS EPISODE: Your client’s aren’t making “bad choices” – I explain what's really happening and how to fix itThe reason all your knowledge in fitness and nutrition won’t help if you don’t understand and eliminate this ONE thing from your clients perception How to help your clients eliminate the roadblock that are holding them back The exact language to use to keep your clients from putting up walls that prevent you from coaching themWhat you have to do first before becoming the most effective coach in any area. This one will surprise youWhy expectations and agreements are a MUST in any gym programSentence stemming and how using it can help you unlock your clients “next step” for themAn exercise that will allow you to help your clients overcome their fears The coaching super power most lack and how I stumbled upon a little known way to develop it The judgment check and why you’re most likely judging your clients out of results The power of making each session memorable and how to make it happen  LINKS AND RESOURCES: Vigor Ground Fitness and Performance: http://www.VigorGroundFitness.com Book: You Are Not Your Brain - The 4 Step Solution for Changing Bad Habits, Ending Unhealthy Thinking, and Taking Control of Your Life (Jeffrey Schwartz): https://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Not-Your-Brain/dp/1583334831/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508833146&sr=8-1&keywords=you+are+not+your+brain Vigor Ground Fitness and Performance Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/VigorGroundFitness/ Book: Conversations with God: https://www.amazon.com/Conversations-God-Neale-Donald-Walsch/dp/0340693258/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1508833393&sr=1-3&keywords=conversations+with+god Vigor Life Podcast on iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/vigor-life-podcast/id1180256583?mt=2 Thanks so much for joining me this week. Research has confirmed that suicide rates and suicidal ideation among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth are significantly higher than among the general population. And sadly, LGBT adolescents also have the highest rate of suicide attempts, which the research believes is due to the bullying related to homophobia as well as rejection by families and parents. The topic of gender non-conforming and transgender is widely discussed in social media and the news but yet many parents don't really know how to talk about it with their own children. Knowing that acceptance of their child can literally save their lives, many listeners who are seeing signs and suspect their child is on the LGBT spectrum have asked: "How do I talk to my kid and let them know it's okay they are gay or trans before they are ready to come out to me?" Today's guest is Sarah Gilbert. She is a licensed therapist with a practice in Connecticut called Transitions Therapy and she specializes in working with the transgender community. In this episode, you will hear: The differences between sexuality and gender identityHow to bring up the topic if you suspect your child is on the LGBTQ spectrumWhat should parents definitely NOT do if their kid comes out to themWhat ages do kids actually know their own gender identity and sexual preferencesThe role of therapy for families ResourcesTransitions Therapy websiteTransitions Therapy FacebookPFLAG

FreudMind of Matter or MOM podcastYour mind, or perspective isn't reality. It’s a tool, a filter through which the internal and external world is strained. Getting more perspective is add new tools to your psychological tool kit, like a colorblind person getting color correcting glasses for the first timeWe will start the Mind Over Matter series (MOM) by outlining the fathers of psychology Jung, Nietzsche, Adler, and today we start with Freud.SectionsLevels of the psycheAnalogies for themWhat a Self defense mechanism is according to FreudThe 3 types of anxiety as defined by FreudWhat types of defense mechanisms there are in Freud's veiwAnd then my take on themTHE IDunconscious that seek pleasureBlind desire, detached, basic primal instincts, impulsive, satisfactoryIt is the Horse to the riderTHE EGO“self” taking account for the unconscious, mediating the balance being pain and pleasure, the body and the mind, and realityTHE SUPEREGO“the conscience of mind”Emerging around 5 or 6 years old this is the developed filter of real life regarding implementations of right and wrong.Split further into “the ideal self” and “consciousness”The concince contains ideals and morals the exist within society that prevent people from acting out based on their internal desiresThe ideal self contain images of how people ought to behave according to societal idealsSelf IDeal is a borrow term from Freud's predecessor Alfred Adler who we will doing a podcast on later. Adler say the selfideal as the ideal self. Makes sense right. The best person you could be. Or God in a christian viewID solitary vicious wild beastEGO collaborative wild beast like wolvesSUPEREGO based in familial, cultural, religious, social software.ID raw components of a computerEGO operating softwareSUPER EGO web browser and google's search engine algorithm.Society is the internet**Freud claimed we hold Self Defense mechanisms to protect a favorable or preferred view of ourselves. Not to be confused with the “ideal self within the SUPEREGO. Each part the ID EGO and SUPEREGO will conflict with each other from time to time. This is where self defence mechanism manifest, most commonly as anxietyFreud identified 3 types of anxiety .Reality Anxiety, Neurotic Anxiety, & Moral AnxietyReality Anxiety is the most basic and is of the EGO. Getting hurt. PainNeurotic Anxiety comes from an unconscious fear that the basic impulses of the id will take control of the person, leading to eventual punishment from expressing the ids desiresMoral anxiety comes from the superego. It appears in the form of a fear of violating values or moral codes, and appears as feelings like guilt or shame.Anxiety occurs and the you attempt to find a rational way of escaping it using defense mechanism. These are ways that the ego develops to help deal with the id and the superego. Defense mechanisms often appear unconsciously and tend to distort or falsify reality. When the distortion of reality occurs, there is a change in perception which allows for a lessening in anxiety resulting in a reduction of tension within one's experiences. Sigmund Freud noted a number of ego defenses1) Denial- believing that what is true is actually falseDating someone who sucks and you stay with them. You know they sucks but you turn a bling eye on it as defence mechanism from the anxiety of breaking up2) Displacement- taking out impulses on a less threatening targetUpset at work and you take it out on your romantic partner rather than facing and resolving the issue3) Intellectualization- avoiding unacceptable emotions by focusing on the intellectual aspectsAnalyzing aspect of your situation that are as far from the core of emotion. That could be think about the FACT that she cheated on you but not the fact that she was WILLING to because YOU fell short.4) Projection- attributing uncomfortable feelings to others VERY COMMONObviously this is the blame game. Its Mom’s fault, Its her faultCarl Jung Agreed “Projection is one the commonest psychic phenomena, Everything that is unconscious in ourselves we discover in our neighbour, we treat them accordingly” Archaic ManThis is huge. Verd often the things we dislike in ourselves we dislike in others. We are blind to see it in ourselves, we deny it.5) Rationalization- creating false but believable justificationsTied to intellectualization. I quit my job because my boss treated my poorly and not think that he was harsh on you because you were performing poorly6) Reaction Formation- taking the opposite belief because the true belief causes anxietyBURN IT TO THE GROUND. Fighting with my partner… so lets break up. Also phonemons like Stockholm syndrome“Little man syndrome” often think they are bigger than they are7) Regression- going back to a previous stage of developmentIn response to the anxiety of a promotion or added responsibility at work you choose to regress to another position or job below your current position to avoid that anxiety“Choosing” to be single because of the anxiety of a relationship8) Repression- pushing uncomfortable thoughts out of conscious awareness9) Suppression- consciously forcing unwanted thoughts out of our awarenessDenying a promotion because you deny your own abilityPeople who don't want to think about their loved ones dying.10) Sublimation- redirecting ‘wrong’ urges into socially acceptable actions. These defenses are not under our conscious control and our unconscious will use one or more to protect one's self from stressful situations. They are natural and normal and without these, neurosis develops such as anxiety states, phobias, obsessions, or hysteria. These are the good ones. Stress relievers and stress managers.Working out your anger ect ectProjection can be a useful tool for your meditation space. We should strive to be critical of what we dislike and project onto others, extract it from the physical world and reintegrate it into our mind into something closer to conscious awareness. This is hard. This can be damn near impossible if your still deep in neurosis. On the contrast if you are too deep into projection it is its own neurosis. You will constantly be looking for scapegoats to project on and mostly likely to be a loved one.I think we can all relate to thisUltimately you push them away. then what? Look within at what Jung calls “the shadow” or find another.Keep doing this and eventually you learn it's easier and more safer (from your shadow) to (get ready for this) its easier to project on to an entry group of people as your scapegoat.t the choice is simple. You're served an solution, your giving a nice white screen to project on.#collectivism #identitypolitics #intersectionality #reactionaryfeminism #blacklivesmatter #bluelivesmatter** It is important to note that not all defense mechanisms are entirely negative. The political statements are generally about the abstraction humans into groups and NOT about the specifics of the political issue**Projection primes your for collective ideology. When offered a group to project on and a group to join in that projection, history tell us we join. Some love to blame the majority of war on religion, i offer projection. We must be honest with ourselves. We mustt be honest without ourselves in order to be honest with othersWe must be honest with outselves BEFORE we can be honest with othersWe must embrace our shadow. In our next podcast we will dive into the psychology of the great Carl JungThe individuation process with includes the ShadowJung believed if we didn't answer answer the projection of the shadow on an individual level then the only outcome would be WarsEnd Jung qoute from Visions: Notes of the Seminars Give between 1930 and 1934“Modern people, are ignorant of what they really areWe have simply forgotten what a human being really is,So we have men like Nietzsche and Freud, and Adler, who tell us what we are quite mercilessly. We have to discover our shadow. Otherwise we are driven into a world war in order to see what beasts we really are”

When we study the parable of the two sons one big surprise we may come up with is how similar the two sons really are:Both reject the father, both are interested only in their own agenda and not their love for their father~the father reaches out to both of themWhat does our church consist of? Will I be attracting younger brothers or are we full of elder brothers? Part two of the story is why he is telling the story because it was the Pharisees who complained -> “this guy welcomes sinners & eats with them!!The other brother is furious with the compassion of the father in bringing him back. Putting on the robe and the ring is now telling me that he is getting back his portion of inheritance. The diminished portion - the portion that the older brother had coming to him!!!Does not treat father with respect.Joyless fear-based compliance. Look at what I have done. I have earned more than you’re allowing me.All these years I have been slaving for you. It is all duty there is no loveWhy should we be honest? It’s good for businessit wins respect it’s good for youWhat happens when being honest is bad for you? What happens when being dishonest is extremely beneficial for youThere is a radical self-centeredness of our hearts. Being a Christian with wrong motivation is one of the worst things there is. The elder brother is only being moral and good for his own benefit. He might be kind to others and helpful to the poor but only to benefit himself…The story of carrotBoth brothers actually end up being very similar… Both brothers are estranged from the heart of the father; both brothers want what they want and for the father to do with they wantOne rebels from the father by being extremely bad the other one rebels against the father by being extremely good. Doing everything right so he can demand what he feels he deserves. They both are lost sons. Neither one loves the father just for who he is. Each one wants only what he wants from the fatherEven though the elder son is so incredibly rude to his father in his rage. The father still responds with pleading and kindness and earnestness to please come and join the feast. And the whole audience is listening carefully to find out how this will end. Will the older brother turn and change his mind and go in? Will he turn and walk away? And suddenly the story ends. And suddenly we are left with this wondering feeling. What is going to happen? What is the elder son going to do? Is he going to soften and respond to his father’s love or is he going to stay angry and walk away? We are waiting to find out, but the story is over and it is then that we need to realize Jesus is talking about you and me. How are we going to respond to the love of the Father for us?2 conclusions:1. examine your own hearts for elder brother tendencies. We need to make a daily practice of repenting from our elder brother2. rejoice at the return of the younger brother3. Love our Father for who he is!

Many lifelong Christian believers feel they understand the basics of the Christian faith quite well and don’t think they need a primer. Nevertheless, one of the signs that you may not grasp the unique, radical nature of the gospel is that you are certain that you do.conclusion: The abundance of His love for us leads to our being able to act out of abundance in generosity and love acceptance and forgiveness for others.Culture wars.Democratic vs. RepublicansLiberals vs. Conservatives Whose side is Jesus on? Joshua to the angel: whose side are you on? Ours or the enemy…?? When we study the parable of the two sons one big surprise we may come up with is how similar the two sons really are:Both reject the father, both are interested only in their own agenda and not their love for their father~the father reaches out to both of themWhat does our church consist of? Will I be attracting younger brothers or are we full of elder brothers? The lost younger brotherThis younger brother is asking his father to tear his life apart… And the great surprise is that he does. (The Father surprises us at all stages here.) And He bears the agony. The son comes to himselfThe son’s plan to work as a hired hand. Apologies are not enough. I want to pay off debt. The father sees the son returning and runs to meet him. The son starts his speech but the father interrupts. Then the father throws a huge party! The whole village is involved… (American’s don’t really have a clue how this goes’) God’s love can pardon or restore any sinful person. There is no sin God’s grace and Love cannot match and exceed.
