This week on Saturday Night Jive we watched Multiplicity from 1996 starring Michael Keaton as a man who clones himself so he can have more time in the day. Why, you ask? Because SNL alum Robin Duke has 3 lines. Also featuring Brian Doyle-Murray this movie raises a lot of questions that we didn't have in 1996. Like, why are these clones seemingly fine with the fact that they are basically slaves? Why is one of the clones gay? How problematic is one of those clones over 20 years later? And just how much is Michael Keaton coughing up for these human copies? These and more questions are answered on this week's episode. Enjoy!Got a comment/question/concern/insult? What a difference over 200 crappy movies makes. Back in 2007, George watched The Comebacks starring SNL alums David Koechner and Finesse Mitchell and directed by the guy who gave us Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star. It was so terrible he broke the DVD he burned it on so it would never be played again. Flash forward to 2020 and The Comebacks is one of the best movies we've seen for this podcast. Unfairly lumped in with the spoof movies from Friedberg and Seltzer, this is a funny movie with good jokes and an actual story you can follow from beginning to end. There are a few visual sight gags that are just references to other movies of the time, but for the most part the movie will turn a reference into an actual character or storyline. Listen to George and Ben talk about their new favorite movie. Then again, this could all be some kind of insanity. Remember, this is the podcast that is pro Jack And Jill and Holmes And Watson.Like and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Got a question/comment/insult? We watched Godzilla from 1998. Why? Because SNL alum Harry Shearer plays the news anchor who is always undermining his underlings. We're a smart podcast. This is a simple little movie about a biologist and a reporter and the rekindling of their romance amidst the backdrop of a giant lizard destroying the city. This a film that both of us remember being disappointing when we saw it in the theater as kids and watching it 20 years later elicits pretty much the same response. Enjoy!Download Here

Hi. Do you remember this blog? I think it's clear that I don't always. I guess if you're reading this then you must be a fan, or you're incredibly bored. Either way, for your dedication I grant you another episode. Why do I feel like I'm holding your grandmother hostage? Either way, here's the new episode. You're welcome.Download The above image was not stolen from lifehackers, and I made no alterations to it whatsoever. And I'm not lazy... ok, the last one was a lie.Opening theme: Europe - The Final CountdownEnding theme: Nomak - Anger of the EarthI should mention, Chris ( CJ Hitchcock from AMR) stops by to give a more balanced view, and by balanced I mean preventing me from giving Panty and Stocking every award. Thank you CJ. Looks like 2011 will be an even better year, seeing how everything goes to shit in 2012, so we gotta watch all the cartoons we can before we die. But for now, relax, take a load off, listen to the best podcat insanity can buy, and then leave a comment. it's good for you, make you grow hair on your chest.
