Trevor Ashley has accomplished a number of roles - Director, Writer, Producer, Musician, Actor, Singer, Drag performer and Superstar ... he can now add Impresario to the extensive list of credits populating his CV.Ashley is about to give birth to his very first celebration of international cabaret - as founder and Artistic Director of the Sydney International Cabaret Festival arriving in the city from July 5th to 14th.No stranger to cabaret, Ashley made his performing debut at Sydney’s previous dalliance with the art form; an annual festival conducted at the SydneyTown Hall.Since then he has of course given us celebrated performances in shows that have affectionately rendered Liza Minelli, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner and Susan Boyle. He has also presented personally tailored pantomimes .... crowd pleasers that have included Black Swan,The Bodybag and Little Orphan Trashley. All have content that launches from the stage into an unsuspecting audience, exploding with tremendous energy, wicked storytelling, joyous laughter and an abundance of naughty.It is these traits that have made Ashley a consummate cabaret performer and have guided him in the selection of an exciting program of performance for the inaugural Sydney International Cabaret Festival.It is a program of which he is very proud and excited. Pigeon's Celebrations, Anniversaries & Birthdays. So I put this playlist together as there is a lot to commemorate over these weeks. With a cool clear sky morning in the ATL, I  thought it apropos to put out the 2012 Fall Edition.  In keeping with past traditions of this series, I wrestled up a HOT cowboy for your eye-candy pleasure to helm the cover art.  Yee Haw! Originally this came out to two sets, but then I realized Gay Pride is coming up this next weekend in the city so I went back and did some serious editing to bring it down to one to give it a more upbeat feel. Overall, I am beyond pleased with how this came out as I am certain all my circuit boys will be as well.  My new favorite tracks of the moment are the stellar Danny Verde remix of Mariah's “Triumphant” (a song that I really don't like) but I'll be damned if Danny didn't give it that kick it needed; Wayne G's 2012 re-version of the camp classic “I Just Wanna Dance” complete with new vocals by the amazing Alison Jiear; Diva Convention's massive floorfiller “Hearbeat” and Nelly Furtado's latest “Parking Lot” where Wayne G once again glitter bombs the song making it a playful club floor romp. I am about to start on the Halloween Edition this weekend, but first I gotta get myself to work.
