Welcome to Top of the Morning by Mint.. I'm Nelson John and here are today's top stories. India Fortifies Its Partnerships India and Australia signed three major defense agreements in Canberra on Thursday, covering intelligence sharing, submarine rescue cooperation, and joint military staff talks. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met Australian Deputy PM Richard Marles as part of the inaugural Defense Ministers' Dialogue, marking five years of their comprehensive strategic partnership. Singh was blunt about Pakistan: "Terror and talks cannot go together." But the real focus is the Indo-Pacific, where both nations, alongside the US and Japan through the Quad, are countering China's expanding military footprint. Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Mumbai with a £350 million ($468 million) missile deal for India. The lightweight multirole systems, made in Belfast, will boost Indian Army air defenses. Britain also signed a £250 million deal for electric propulsion systems for Indian warships. Starmer announced Lancaster and Surrey universities received approval to open Indian campuses. With nine UK universities now operating in India, Britain has the biggest higher education footprint in the country. India needs 70 million university places by 2035 – it currently has 40 million students. Modi's Middle East Diplomacy Prime Minister Modi called Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him on the Gaza ceasefire deal. Netanyahu paused his security cabinet meeting to take the call. Modi welcomed the hostage release and humanitarian assistance, reaffirming that "terrorism in any form is unacceptable." Putin's Apology Ten months after Russian air defense mistakenly downed an Azerbaijani passenger plane killing 38 people, Vladimir Putin pledged compensation. Meeting Ilham Aliyev in Tajikistan, Putin explicitly acknowledged Russia's role for the first time, saying missiles detonated near the December 2024 flight after Ukrainian drones entered Russian airspace. Episode #217 In this episode, Terri and Heather dive into the foundational framework behind lasting fasting success—what they call “The Three-Legged Stool.” They unpack the three essential components: 1️⃣ The Fasting Dial – finding the right rhythm for your body 2️⃣ The Nutrition Dial – nourishing in a way that supports your goals 3️⃣ The Support Dial – staying consistent through accountability and connection Terri and Heather explain why all three dials must be in balance—because when one leg is missing, the whole stool wobbles. If you're struggling to stick with fasting, lose weight, or feel your best, this conversation will help you reconnect with the core principles that create sustainable, long-term success. ✨ Think of this as your reset to realign and thrive—no extremes, just solid strategy.

This week on aBlogtoWatch Weekly, Rick starts the show with a question about Ariel's recent column about luxury watch pricing and its downstream effects. Ariel has much to say about this topic beyond the obvious. Who knew this was a can o' worms? Leave it Ariel to dig up questions in a space that seems well understood. Check your assumptions, people! Ripley and David weigh in from their own experiences as longtime enthusiasts. Rick then pops a photo on the screen of a luxury yacht designed to hold eight people, sinking under the weight of 32 souls. Not sure what this has to do with watches, except those sinking like they have stones in their pockets are likely debating how to save the watches they're wearing. In a similar vein, David presents his favorite marketing pitch — yes, this was an assignment — can you tell these guys get a lot of emails that seem quite random? (Don't miss the bit about the Trump watch error. We Americans love it when Rick rubs our noses in the country's current political administration. "No, I'm laughing WITH you!") The fun continues throughout the hour with a mix of levity and serious watch talk. Tune in!

Week 3 of the Karen Read trial was packed with twists; witnesses challenged whether Michael Proctor was even the lead investigator, and the courtroom was buzzing over solo cups, leaf blowers, and yet another butt dial. Witnesses began subtly (but noticeably) distancing themselves from the Albert family, casting doubt on previous alliances. Tensions are rising, timelines are being questioned, and this case is getting messier by the minute. We're attending the trial in person and live streaming it daily on my YouTube channel 10 to LIFE, with full recaps every Friday. Make sure to subscribe and follow so you never miss an update.
Klearcom, a leading provider of global contact centre testing solutions, has announced the launch of its next-generation solution Verify+ which will see it dial into global demand for pre-production Interactive Voice Response (IVR) testing and support future business growth. An enhanced version of Klearcom's Verify product, Verify+ enables businesses to test and improve their customer service phone and IVR systems before going live. It does this by allowing companies to simulate real customer calls, test call paths and verify audio quality and sound clarity. In terms of the testing functionality and efficiency, the solution removes the need to rewrite common tests by facilitating the creation of reusable templates and creates a visual "treeview" model to support sequential testing. It also delivers concurrent IVR testing at no extra cost. Coupled with its audio scoring and real-time monitoring feature, Verify+ ensures testing flexibility, accuracy and visibility, as well as high reliability and performance of systems. Meanwhile, its outbound testing capabilities can support diverse international contact centre environments. Covering more than 100 languages and dialects, Verify+ also delivers transcript analysis and audio scoring. Furthermore, it facilitates alternate transcripts for out-of-hours or holiday periods, with automated IVR message and smart scheduling features. The solution streamlines the pre-production testing process and accelerates deployment of services for organisations, while identifying call issues, enabling faster resolution and reducing downtime. In turn, this saves significant time and costs and improves end-user Customer Experience (CX). Quick-to-deploy and easy-to-use, the platform enhances Klearcom's already extensive product portfolio. Available in over 100+ countries, it will enable the provider to further scale up its operations, support its growing global customer base and drive business growth. In particular, Klearcom anticipates demand for Verify+ among the telecom, utilities, retail, healthcare, aviation, banking and finance industries. Satish Barot, Co-founder and CTO at Klearcom, said: "When people call customer service, they want the fastest possible response and resolution. When businesses are testing and rolling out these systems, they also want that. Verify+ delivers on both fronts by simplifying testing, ensuring optimal performance and supporting the best customer experience. "As well as simulating real-world behaviours, including non-linear customer call journeys and interrupted interactions, it delivers a truly global testing capability - not only meeting the evolving needs of our customers but enabling them to meet the expectations of theirs. In turn, we are guaranteeing customer confidence, innovating the customer experience and expanding our customer base." See more stories here.

What if I told you that attraction in relationships isn't just about chemistry—it's a skill you can develop?Yep, you read that right. In this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, we're bringing back an absolute fire guest training from our Happy Hustle Club, featuring Keith Yackey—Founder & CEO of The Married Game. This dude has cracked the code on why attraction fades in long-term relationships and, more importantly, how to get it back.Keith shares his personal transformation story—how his wife left him and how he used that pain as fuel to build a bulletproof strategy for reigniting passion. He dives deep into the dynamics of attraction, the common mistakes men make in relationships (spoiler: being a pouty little B is a major turn-off), and how to level up your connection using his Five Dials framework.Whether you're an entrepreneur balancing business and love or just someone looking to strengthen your relationship, this episode is packed with game-changing insights. Let's be real—keeping the fire alive in a relationship isn't always easy, especially when life gets busy. But here's the kicker: most men sabotage attraction without even realizing it.Keith breaks down a few major mistakes that kill intimacy:Passive Aggressiveness & Pouting – Acting like a "pouty little B" when rejected doesn't make you more attractive; it makes you less desirable. No woman has ever thought, "Wow, his whining is SO sexy. Let's do this."Lack of Personal Growth – If you're not evolving, you're stagnating. Women are drawn to ambition and self-improvement.Forgetting to Play – Remember the fun, flirty energy you had when you first met? If you stop bringing that playfulness, the attraction fades. The Five Dials: Your Relationship PlaybookKeith introduces The Five Dials—a game-changing way to measure and improve attraction in your relationship. The Partner Dial – Are you showing up as an equal partner, emotionally and physically? The Producer Dial – Are you ambitious and creating value in your life and business? The Player Dial – Are you fun, spontaneous, and keeping things exciting? The Power Dial – Are you standing strong in your confidence and leadership? The Parenting/Friendship Dial – How well do you balance being a great parent (if you have kids) and a reliable friend to your partner? When these dials are out of sync, attraction suffers. But when you dial them in? That's when the magic happens. As an entrepreneur, you're wired to optimize your business, but are you optimizing your relationship? Think about it—what's the point of crushing it in your career if your personal life is falling apart? The same principles you apply to business success—growth, consistency, and value creation—also apply to relationships. When you invest in yourself, level up your mindset, and bring that energy into your relationship, you naturally become more attractive. If you're ready to turn things around in your relationship and unlock next-level attraction, this episode is a must-listen. Motion brings loss.A sable blackbird twitters in the limes. From White Egrets by Derek Walcott, Faber & Faber 2010. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 29th, 2022, Boston Police officer John O'Keefe was found dead in a snowbank outside a home in Canton, Massachusetts. According to the medical examiner, O'Keefe had died from blunt force trauma and hypothermia. At first it seemed like a tragic accident, maybe a slip on the ice, a fall that ended in death. But as investigators dug deeper, things became far more complicated and Karen Read, O'Keefe's girlfriend, became the center of the investigation. Evidence that there had been trouble in paradise in the romantic relationship began to surface, but so did other disturbing possibilities. What seemed like a domestic tragedy was quickly clouded by allegations of police corruption and cover-up, and an investigation that many believe was compromised from the start. What if the very people tasked with upholding the law were covering up the truth? Was John O'Keefe's death a result of an angry lovers rage- or the collateral damage of a police force protecting its own? In this case, the line between justice and corruption becomes confusingly blurred. Evidence disappears, witnesses are silenced, and as the truth slowly rises to the surface, it may reveal a web of lies that's more dangerous than anyone could have predicted. Was Karen Read the scapegoat in a larger cover-up? And what role did corruption within the police department play in distorting facts. This may not be just a story of love gone wrong, it may in fact turn out to be a story of power, deceit, and the price people will pay to keep the darkest of dark secrets buried. Join us as we delve deep into the case of John O'Keefe and Karen Read, and help us see if we can get closer to the truth. Pierre Biver of J.C. Biver, Jasper Lifering of Amsterdam Vintage Watches, and Erik Gustafson of Hairspring Watches join me in three separate conversations to provide a holistic overview of stone dials.Over the past few years, stone dials have seemingly popped up everywhere. More modern brands are making them. At the same time, vintage examples have become more collectible and jumped in price considerably. But stone dials are still a relatively undiscovered corner of watch collecting. They're not well understood on the vintage or modern side.So I wanted to cover them on Hodinkee. Typically, we'd do this by talking to a few experts and synthesizing those conversations into an in-depth article. But I decided to try something different this time around, hitting record on three conversations to learn about modern stone dial production, vintage collecting, and everything in between. Our first conversation is with Pierre Biver, who started J.C. Biver with his father Jean-Claude Biver last year. Each of their releases has included a stone dial option. Then, I talk with two dealers. First is Jasper Lijfering of Amsterdam Vintage Watches, a vintage dealer and trained gemologist. Second is Erik Gustafson of Hairspring Watches, who has helped grow the scholarship around stone dials. We dive into the recent discussion around Rolex "obsidian" dials; as we'll discuss, this name isn't quite accurate and it shows how much there still is to learn about vintage watches, and stone dials in particular.I hope all three conversations give you a better understanding of stone dials. Note that I've tried to include links to an example of all stone dials mentioned in the audio, so check the show notes below if you're not sure what a particular stone looks like.Show Notes1:23: Hands-On: The Biver Automatique2:14: Hands-On: The Biver Carillon Tourbillon19:30: Hands-On: The Berneron Mirage Realizes Its Creator's Uncompromising Vision24:00: Hands-On: Baltic Prismic Stone Dial Limited Editions31:54: Amsterdam Vintage Watches33:35: In-Depth: How Piaget Defined The 1970s, And How It Can Do The Same Today38:15: Example of a Rolex Day-Date with Malachite dial39:16: Example of a Rolex Day-Date with Coral dial41:53: Dr. Helmut Crott's The Dial42:45: Example of a Rolex Day-Date with black Onyx dial43:15: Example of a Piaget Protocole with Lapis Lazuli dial43:28: Example of a Rolex Day-Date with Tiger's Eye dial45:20: Example of a Rolex Day-Date with Green Jasper dial46:30: Example of a Rolex Day-Date with Pyramid Onyx dial46:55: Jasper's white gold Datejust with Red Jasper dial52:05: Rolex Day-Date with 'Bloodstone' dial54:10: Hairspring Watches56:00: Hairspring's post about the "Obsidian" dial Rolex Datejust58:45: Recapping The Glamorous Day-Date Sale At Phillips (That Time The Average Day-Date Sold For $110,580)1:00:00: "Obsidian" Rolex at Phillips in 20201:02:30: Rolex Day-Date Khanjar with "Obsidian" dial that Loupe This described as "although it looks like an onyx stone dial, after closer inspection it appears the dial is a painted/ lacquer dial."1:11:37: Introducing: Audemars Piguet Brings Back The Starwheel (Live Pics) (including pics of a tropical Starwheel)1:11:58: Rolex Daytona ref. 116500 "Lemon" dial
