Seit dem 7.Oktober 2023, dem Überfall der Hamas auf Israel hat der Antisemitismus weltweit und auch in Deutschland zugenommen. Die Schuld für das Massaker wird auf Jüdinnen und Juden geschoben, denn das was die Hamas, verbündete Organisationen und die palästinensische Zivilgesellschaft da getan haben sei nur „legitimer Widerstand“. Einer der Begriffe, die da zur Rechtfertigung benutzt werden, ist der Begriff „Siedlerkolonialismus“. Dünnschnabel-Brachvogel Der Dünnschnabel-Brachvogel ist nun als erster Vogel auf dem Festland Europas in der Neuzeit ausgestorben. Im 19. Jahrhundert wurden große Schwärme dieser Art beobachtet. Bereits Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts galt der Vogel als akut vom Aussterben bedroht. In den letzten Jahrzehnten folgten dann intensive Forschung (und Monitoring). Alles ohne Erfolg. Im November dann die Meldung, dass keine weiteren Sichtungen oder Hinweise auf verbleibende Populationen vorliegen. Wir haben uns unterhalten mit Karsten Peterlein, Ansprechpartner für die Wildtierberatung, die erstmals morgen 18 Uhr beim NABU Leipzig stattfindet und Arbeitskreisleiter Ornithologie und Vogelschutz-Leiter der Wildvogelhilfe Leipzig. Wildtiere begegnen uns in der Stadt ja doch häufig, da sind Nutrias, Waschbären oder ein verletzter Vogel befindet sich vor uns auf dem Gehweg. Was sind also die häufigsten Wildtiere in so einer Stadt wie Leipzig und wie kann man ihnen helfen im Notfall? Der Nabu Leipzig unterstützt auch wieder die Stunde der Wintervögel, eine bundesweite Wintervogelzählaktion ab dem 10.Januar. Jeden 2.
