Birds are incredible creatures, able to fly and migrate with ease. Beyond that, their feathers are exceptionally designed, allowing our avian friends to do what they do best. Hosts Trey and Michael are joined by Dr. Andy McIntosh and Dr. Brian Thomas to discuss this topic in episode 30 of Creation.Live.
Though tiny, the bombardier beetle is a fascinating masterclass in design. Evolutionists claim that this explosive insect came about by chance, but frankly, that's impossible. Hosts Trey and Michael are joined by Dr. Andy McIntosh and Dr. Brian Thomas to discuss this blast of a topic in episode 29 of Creation.Live.

08/03/20 PM - Prof. Andy McIntosh - Has Science Killed God by Sunbridge Road Mission
The book of Proverbs says that God has made both the hearing ear and the seeing eye. So what about the ear? All we see when we look at our ear is a bit of cartilage and muscle covered by skin; but what looks simple on the surface turns out to be very specifically designed on the inside. The ability to hear would be threatened if even one component was missing.

Wonder of the Human Ear - Proverbs 20:12
Kevin recently moderated a debate between Jeff Archer (president of the Atheist Coalition of San Diego) and Dr. Andy McIntosh that focused on the question: Can an atheistic worldview make sense of reality? In the previous episode he talked to Jeff Archer about why he thinks the answer is yes; this time he talks to Dr. Andy McIntosh about why it is most definitely a “no.” Eric Hovind of Creation Today is also present to weigh in on some of the issues. Kevin, Andy, and Eric discuss why it is impossible for the universe as we know it to exist without God. They respond to a variety of arguments that atheists commonly use, including (but not limited to): life could increase in complexity without breaking down because the earth is an open system with energy coming in; the existence of intelligence doesn’t require God, because humans are just a complex AI; crystals are an example of a natural increase of complexity apart from intelligence; and lastly, creationists aren’t real scientists because they never make any scientific predictions that lead to valuable research or discovery. Listen to the full episode to hear why each of these assertions is incorrect, as well as other evidence that supports theism and refutes atheism. You can learn more about Dr. Andy McIntosh at AndyMcIntosh.org and TruthAndScience.org. Eric and his work with Creation Today can be found at CreationToday.org and Youtube.com/user/CreationToday. “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” —Romans 1:20 This episode first aired on September 27th, 2015. We make video lessons to raise up confident Christians: https://educateforlife.org/
Whether they know it or not, every person possesses a worldview. This is a set of broad principles that guides their perception of reality, informing them of what exists and what doesn’t, what is possible and what is not. As human knowledge has advanced over the past few centuries, so has the idea that observational science can explain the whole of reality, physical stuff is all there is, and there is no spiritual realm. This philosophical naturalism is a key component of atheism, a denial of the existence of any sort of god. But does this view do an adequate job of explaining the whole of human knowledge and experience? On September 29th, Kevin is moderating a debate between a Christian (Dr. Andy McIntosh) and an atheist (Jeff Archer) on whether an atheistic worldview can make sense of reality. In the weeks preceding the debate, he is interviewing each participant in turn about why they hold the position they do. In this first of the two interviews, he speaks with Jeff Archer about why he believes atheism explains all of reality without any need to refer to the supernatural. They discuss topics such as whether religion is necessary for moral living, and whether the complexity of life suggests intelligent design. Jeff archer is the long-standing president of the Atheist Coalition of San Diego, author of multiple books, and an experienced public debater. You can learn more about him and the Atheist Coalition by visiting AtheistCoalition.org. “And the Lord asked me, ‘What do you see, Amos?’ ‘A plumb line,’ I replied. Then the Lord said, ‘Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel…'” Amos 7:8 This episode first aired on September 20th, 2015. The Young Earth Creation movement claim that the Bible and science show that the world is only a little over 6000 years old. In the first of two debates Justin Brierley hears from a leading UK "young earther" who claims that the rock and fossil record were laid down by the flood of Noah, and a paleontologist who argues that science is clear that they were laid down over millions of years of evolutionary history. Andy Macintosh is Professor of Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory at the University of Leeds. He is a leading British Young Earth Creationist. He debates with Robert Asher, a paleontologist at the Museum of Zoology in Cambridge, and the author of “Evolution and belief: Confessions of a religious paleontologist”. The second of two debates in which Young Earth Creationist Andy McIntosh debates paleontologist Robert Asher. Andy responds to a number of questions left hanging over from the previous show. Both are Christians and give their differing views on how the Genesis stories of Adam and Eve and death and suffering can (or cannot) be reconciled with evolutionary theory.
